I’ve been a member for two years this month so I’m celebrating my 2 year anniversary with a review. I joined because I thought I wanted to try Reformer Pilates. Instead, I continued my yoga practice. A few of my favourite yoga instructors left and since I didn’t love their replacements, last April, I started doing LF3 classes, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 5:30 am. Three different instructors. All amazing. Mondays, Yaz and now Clark. Both great. Wednesdays, Abdiel. Amazing. Fridays, Kyvin. Brilliant. I love the small classes. The regulars have become a little community. I love that the instructors correct me when my form isn’t correct. The staff at the front desk are always nice. I enjoy the steam room. Especially now that the steam room has been upgraded. The massage chairs in the Recovery room are great. The cold plunge, hot tub, and Ultra violet sauna are all great. I also swim laps and am happy to have the lap pool back after a long period of maintenance. Now, I’ve added yoga back in. Bryan does a 75 min Hot Yin on Sundays that is rejuvenating for the soul and the body. I also plan to finally try the beginner Pilates class. If I had one little gripe, it would be that the club needs to do a better job of making sure the body wash and shampoo in the showers are refilled regularly. On Friday this week, none of the showers had body wash. And that’s not the first time. Other than that, I enjoy the gym, the classes, the cleanliness and the vibe. One of the best gyms I’ve ever been a member of. And I’ve been a member at many. Kudos to the whole Altea team.
