Altın Kapı Döner Kebap

Fairly over hyped when we entered place was absolutely empty. Ordered the famous Iskander kebab for my friend and tomato soup for me. The meat felt very stale and definitely not worth 60 lira. Lot of options up ahead on the road. Don't waste your money here.

The food is amazing in this restaurant. The Iskandar kebab was finely made and the special kebab dish also included tasty different dishes they had. Maybe the best Iskandar kebab in Izmir. The service was friendly and fine up to the point that we ordered dessert and tea. They brought the tea very quickly and the dessert about half an hour later, which we could not take as we were in a rush to get our flight and didn't expect the preparation would take that long. But the food alone was very pleasing to forget the stress we had at the end.

The tomato soup with cheese was great. The dürüm döner was the taste I was looking for. Classic, simple and good. Beef döner with sliced tomatoes and one spicy pepper in fresh baked flat tortilla bread. I can imagine they have great İskender Kebap as well. As the döner tastes awesome. 👍 Recommendable

Honestly one of the tastiest local food places I've tried and it's really near to the coast with both indoor and outdoor seating and very friendly and helpful staff who speak English as well. Definitely would recommend the iskender kebab and the pide here, really well done!

Best Döner Kebap in İzmir😋 First of all, this place is over 50 years old and I always wonder what keeps a bussiness runing for a long time. I found an answer at this place. The waiters are very professional. When they do the service, you feel how much they value their job. We tried Doner Kebap. It was simply one of the best I’ve tried so far. We paid 6$ for the food but definitely worth every penny⭐️⭐️⭐️

Almost the Best place for Turkish Doner kebab. Only matter is a bit crowdy and loud environment, but you can enjoy your food in the heart of pedestrian zone of İzmir, Alsancak.
