Altis Avenida Hotel

We had a fantastic stay at the Altis Avenida Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were delighted to find out we’d been upgraded — such a wonderful surprise to start our trip. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay, making everything feel seamless and special. Our room included some lovely complimentary touches like coffee, water, and even sparkling wine, which made us feel very welcomed. The breakfast deal is definitely worth it — the selection and quality were excellent and set us up perfectly for the day. One of the absolute highlights was the rooftop bar area. It’s a stunning spot to relax in the evening with a drink or meal, offering beautiful views over the city. A special shout out to Jose at the rooftop bar — his service and friendly manner truly stood out and added to the overall experience. I will add that the hotel had the best shower in the world!! Highly recommended — we’ll definitely return!

Absolutely fantastic hotel in every sense. Beautiful facilities, very comfortable rooms, epic view rooftop restaurant, but most of all, incredibly kind and customer centric staff. They took care of us unlike any other hotel in a very long time, anticipating our needs and ensuring out stay is memorable and comfortable. And the location! In the heart of old Lisbon, with walking distance to all attractions and sights. Every recommendation. This is what I consider a 5-star experience!

Would recommend everything about this hotel! Our room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom plenty large and the complimentary espresso machine was an excellent touch! The hotel staff were some of the most helpful and over the top nice people we’d ever experienced as well! The Rossio rooftop bar and restaurant was amazing as well for an afternoon or evening drink. Finally, the guest services desk was so helpful with restaurant recommendations, reservations, and any other questions like how early we’d need to get to the airport.

My husband and I stayed at the Altis Avenida for our wedding week with about 25 of our guests and everyone raved about. Location is absolutely perfect, in the center of the city. Service was impeccable. They were super accommodating when we asked for wedding dress steaming service, table/chair set up for our legal ceremony on our terrace, glasses and ice buckets, etc. everything was delivered immediately and the staff was all so kind. The grand view suite was the most amazing spot for the bridal party to get ready in as well as perfect for friends and family to join us later in the evening for a drink. We also had all of our 100+ guests in Lisbon to gather at the hotel to take the bus to our venue and the hotel was also accommodating to our guests not staying at the hotel. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This will forever be our favorite hotel in Lisbon and we hope to be back soon. ❤️

Stunning hotel in the heart of Lisbon! Perfect location for tourist. This hotel excels in all areas! My special mention is the staff and how exceptional they are. They not only give you incredible brilliant service but they cater to all needs. We travelled with our 1 year old and both the reception, housekeeping and breakfast staff catered to every need and went above and beyond for my son. This was the best service we have had with our son! Thank you so much and we will be back soon

A major highlight, and one strongly recommended for inclusion with any reservation, is the breakfast experience. The selection is not only delicious and fresh but also boasts a wide variety of options. The breakfast team is remarkably attentive and amiable, skillfully preparing personalized orders such as omelets, fried eggs, and cappuccinos to perfection. The restaurant and bar staff also contribute significantly to the positive experience with their polite and efficient service. Guests receive a welcome voucher for a drink at the Rossio bar, located on the hotel's rooftop. This spot offers a very pleasant ambiance and captivating views, perfect for unwinding. The guest relations service consistently demonstrates a high level of attentiveness, and the availability of refreshing flavored water and a special Portuguese sparkling wine at the reception bar further elevates the overall guest experience. Our stay was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the incredible team at the hotel. Sofia was outstanding—warm, professional, and always ready to help. She truly made us feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.||Myrian was equally wonderful—kind, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. She took such great care of my parents and made sure all our needs were met with a smile.||Josue was also a huge help, assisting us with our bags and making the entire arrival and departure process smooth and stress-free.||And a special thank you to the hotel manager, whose leadership is clearly reflected in the team’s amazing service. They were welcoming, present, and ensured every detail of our stay exceeded expectations.

Very lovely hotel - staff were so nice and helpful - every single one of them. Great location in between 2 big squares. Good for all sightseeing. Roof top view looking over Lisbon to the sea, with the castle lit up, is stunning. Floor 8 sun terrace is just for guests - so nice to get a quiet drink there or enjoy a late afternoon relax. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice (including delicious fresh fruit) on the roof top veranda each morning. In the evening we went to the roof top restaurant and on Sat night they had a DJ - v nice atmosphere and a relief not to have to find somewhere else to eat after a long day at Sintra (train station for this opposite the hotel!) Would 100% stay there again - would also recommend you call the hotel direct to get a good room rate.

Was in Lisbon for a week and visited several Michelin star restaurants..., but it was nearly impossible to pull me away from the rooftop bar at my hotel. The views were lovely, the staff was friendly, attentive, kind and anticipated my every need. Highly recommend. Would stay there again and again.

I only spent 1 night here, but I would come back if in the area again. The location is terrific. The view from our room was fantastic. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was on the smaller side, but the amenities in the room were nice. They will provide bottled water daily. The rooftop deck has a nice view and I could see relaxing here after a long day of sightseeing. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, which was excellent. There is no gym, but they do offer access to another gym in the area.

Wonderful lobby staff so interested in welcoming weary travelers. Perfect location. Well appointed and very clean rooms. Excellent bell and housekeeping service. Epic rooftop with relaxing and tanning deck with pleasant breeze, outdoor shower & reclining chairs. Nice restaurant on 7th floor Rossario, also with great balcony and views. Enjoyed drinks there one night and drinks another with late meal. This is the rare hotel that will be memorable.

I would CERTAINLY stay here again! It was in a GREAT swanky cool location. And my room faced the Rossio Square which is literally the hotel's backyard! Pretty good room service of which I used more than once. Beautiful rooftop with a bar and restaurant, splendid views good tapas from the bar. Residents have exclusive access to a higher sundeck too! Rooms are cozy with Nespresso, mini fridge and small TV. The breakfast buffet every morning and it's good. The staff is sincerely kind and respectful. I went during their Superbowl so it was a fun time to be there! Great restaurants all around it in short walking distance too!!

Beautiful rooftop hotel in the swanky part of town. Rooms are cozy with nespresso mini fridge and TVs {although those were strangely small for a nice hotel}. The upstairs deck is wonder with views of the city for drinks in pm, and for breakfast buffet in the am. There is also a sundeck only accessible for guests on top floor to relax and lounge. Wifi is free and room service is relatively quick. We had a corner, family suite with two adjoining rooms, which word is relatively spacious and comfortable. We did smell smoke in the hallway, every afternoon- which was strange considering it's smoke free but the rooms were fresh. Would stay again.

This hotel has the best location close to all the major attractions. The subway station is located right next to the hotel. The hotel staff are all professional and efficient. The breakfast was delicious and complete with both hot and cold items. Fresh squeezed juice was also provided. The room was comfortable and stocked with a good coffee machine and bottled water. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice and powerful shower. There was also ample charging outlets in the room. All in all, we had an excellent stay and would be back to stay at this property if we are back in Lisbon.

Unfailingly friendly staff, from the front desk attendants to the guy who escorted me to my room to the folks that keep the restaurant running, everyone at the Altis Avenida Hotel is top notch! The airport is super close (like €10 cab ride close) to the hotel so it's perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Small, but not too small, with 70 rooms, the hotel is centrally located and you can walk to nearly everywhere desirable in the city from here. Opposite the train station, you're 45 minutes from Sintra (I had hoped to get there but ran out of time - dont's make the same mistake!). Rooms are well appointed (sumptuous sheets, bidets, blackout curtains) and the wifi is steady. If you stay at the Altis Avenida, spend lots of time up on the roof (where the restaurant is located), the views from up there are spectacular. And make sure to hike up to the Castelo de São Jorge, it's an easy climb from the hotel and totally worth it.
