Altis Avenida Hotel

Absolutely lovely experiences. We stayed a few places in Spain and here in Portugal over a 10 day period and this was our favorite hotel! The location is perfect. The staff went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. The room was lovely and they surprised us with complimentary champagne and macarons for our honeymoon! The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal and we ate there every day!! We also had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious! Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone coming to Lisbon!

This hotel is fabulous. The rooms are big and most of all the service was impeccable. Everyone at the front desk Sofia to a valet Vito were outstanding. The women that run the bar and breakfast restaurant could not be more genuine and helpful. Wait staff is so accommodating. The view is one of the best in all of Lisbon. This is a must stay!

We spent three days at this hotel. It’s definitely close to a five star hotel. The hotel is beautiful. The staff were really welcoming at check-in and were always able to help with recommendations and directions for places to eat and places to visit. The bellboy took our luggage and it was waiting for us in our bedroom later after check in. The hotel is situated in a really good location, and proximity to all attractions. We stayed in a superior room that was well decorated, with all the facilities you would expect and a comfortable bed with multiple types of pillow. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning with delicious fresh orange juice. The staff were amazing at their job. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, both warm and cold. We felt really safe inside the hotel as there were always staff at the door to welcome you and you needed your room key in order to use the lift to go up to the rooms. Some things we hope the hotel could improve in the future would be to improve the soundproofing, especially from the hallways around the bedrooms. We were woken multiple times every night by guests returning to their rooms and their doors slamming shut. If we stayed here again, we would choose a different room, maybe on a higher level. It would have been nice to have received a welcome drink or option to sit down when checking in after a long journey. Thank you Altis Avenida Hotel.

Even prior to my arrival, the staff provided special accommodations for me due to extenuating circumstances—something I will always appreciate. Upon arrival, my son and I were warmly welcomed by Mr. Marco, who immediately greeted us with a smile and graciously took our bags from the transfer without hesitation. At the front desk, I was met by Ines, whose radiant smile and warm welcome set the perfect tone for our stay. Alongside her was Claudia, equally kind and professional, exuding positive energy that instantly made us feel at home. Victor, the most energetic of them all, delivered our luggage to our room and enthusiastically shared his recommendations for the best places to eat and explore in and around Lisbon. His excitement and genuine love for the city made his suggestions all the more valuable. Equally memorable was the young lady who provided our room service—she was gentle, kind, and left thoughtful touches such as sweet chocolate treats that felt like personal gestures of care. The hotel itself is stunning—beautifully maintained with a prime location right in the heart of Lisbon. The gastrobar is a hit with both guests and locals, while the 8th-floor rooftop offers breathtaking views of Rossio Square, the historic trams, shops, cafés, and the lively streets below. I can confidently say that I will be staying here again on my next visit—because there will indeed be a next visit. I wholeheartedly recommend Altis Avenida Hotel to anyone seeking not only a luxurious stay but also a place where the staff truly cares for their guests.

We stayed at the Altis Avenida Hotel after our Airbnb was unexpectedly cancelled the night before our arrival in Lisbon. After a frantic search for a room in high season, we were incredibly grateful for the recommendations we received for this property—and they couldn’t have been more accurate.||From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff and concierge were outstanding, going out of their way to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. Our room, though on the smaller side, was impeccably maintained and well appointed, with wonderfully comfortable beds.||The highlight for us was the rooftop bar and restaurant, where we enjoyed breakfast and even a few lingering afternoons after exploring the city. The location couldn’t be better—right near the train station and square, perfect for sightseeing and people-watching. One of our favorite touches was the balcony overlooking the square, an ideal spot to unwind at the end of the day. There are so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance also adding to the convenience.||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

A great hotel in the heart of Lisbon. On the arrival our room still wasn’t ready (we arrived early) so we went for a walk. As soon as the room was ready, we’ve got a call. Room is clean, nice, with a great shower. In lobby there is a bar with complimentary beverages and more) All the stay was very pleasant. Will come again.

My husband and I stayed at the Altis Avenida for our wedding week with about 25 of our guests and everyone raved about. Location is absolutely perfect, in the center of the city. Service was impeccable. They were super accommodating when we asked for wedding dress steaming service, table/chair set up for our legal ceremony on our terrace, glasses and ice buckets, etc. everything was delivered immediately and the staff was all so kind. The grand view suite was the most amazing spot for the bridal party to get ready in as well as perfect for friends and family to join us later in the evening for a drink. We also had all of our 100+ guests in Lisbon to gather at the hotel to take the bus to our venue and the hotel was also accommodating to our guests not staying at the hotel. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This will forever be our favorite hotel in Lisbon and we hope to be back soon. ❤️

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us fantastic restaurant and pastry recommendations. Upon our arrival, for our honeymoon, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and an assortment of treats in the room which was so thoughtful and not done at other hotels we stayed at for honeymoon. It meant a lot! If you are looking for a clean, comfy, chic hotel in the middle of center city Lisbon, this is your spot. Everything we needed/wanted to see was a 20 min walk max. I also must say that the bar offers complimentary cookies, water and champagne. This hotel is about the guest experience, and we were so pleased with our stay!

Was in Lisbon for a week and visited several Michelin star restaurants..., but it was nearly impossible to pull me away from the rooftop bar at my hotel. The views were lovely, the staff was friendly, attentive, kind and anticipated my every need. Highly recommend. Would stay there again and again.

I only spent 1 night here, but I would come back if in the area again. The location is terrific. The view from our room was fantastic. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was on the smaller side, but the amenities in the room were nice. They will provide bottled water daily. The rooftop deck has a nice view and I could see relaxing here after a long day of sightseeing. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, which was excellent. There is no gym, but they do offer access to another gym in the area.

Wonderful lobby staff so interested in welcoming weary travelers. Perfect location. Well appointed and very clean rooms. Excellent bell and housekeeping service. Epic rooftop with relaxing and tanning deck with pleasant breeze, outdoor shower & reclining chairs. Nice restaurant on 7th floor Rossario, also with great balcony and views. Enjoyed drinks there one night and drinks another with late meal. This is the rare hotel that will be memorable.

I would CERTAINLY stay here again! It was in a GREAT swanky cool location. And my room faced the Rossio Square which is literally the hotel's backyard! Pretty good room service of which I used more than once. Beautiful rooftop with a bar and restaurant, splendid views good tapas from the bar. Residents have exclusive access to a higher sundeck too! Rooms are cozy with Nespresso, mini fridge and small TV. The breakfast buffet every morning and it's good. The staff is sincerely kind and respectful. I went during their Superbowl so it was a fun time to be there! Great restaurants all around it in short walking distance too!!

Beautiful rooftop hotel in the swanky part of town. Rooms are cozy with nespresso mini fridge and TVs {although those were strangely small for a nice hotel}. The upstairs deck is wonder with views of the city for drinks in pm, and for breakfast buffet in the am. There is also a sundeck only accessible for guests on top floor to relax and lounge. Wifi is free and room service is relatively quick. We had a corner, family suite with two adjoining rooms, which word is relatively spacious and comfortable. We did smell smoke in the hallway, every afternoon- which was strange considering it's smoke free but the rooms were fresh. Would stay again.

This hotel has the best location close to all the major attractions. The subway station is located right next to the hotel. The hotel staff are all professional and efficient. The breakfast was delicious and complete with both hot and cold items. Fresh squeezed juice was also provided. The room was comfortable and stocked with a good coffee machine and bottled water. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice and powerful shower. There was also ample charging outlets in the room. All in all, we had an excellent stay and would be back to stay at this property if we are back in Lisbon.

Unfailingly friendly staff, from the front desk attendants to the guy who escorted me to my room to the folks that keep the restaurant running, everyone at the Altis Avenida Hotel is top notch! The airport is super close (like €10 cab ride close) to the hotel so it's perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Small, but not too small, with 70 rooms, the hotel is centrally located and you can walk to nearly everywhere desirable in the city from here. Opposite the train station, you're 45 minutes from Sintra (I had hoped to get there but ran out of time - dont's make the same mistake!). Rooms are well appointed (sumptuous sheets, bidets, blackout curtains) and the wifi is steady. If you stay at the Altis Avenida, spend lots of time up on the roof (where the restaurant is located), the views from up there are spectacular. And make sure to hike up to the Castelo de São Jorge, it's an easy climb from the hotel and totally worth it.
