Altitude Brewing Tap Room

Altitude is located about a 15-minute drive from Queenstown at the marina. The brewery was originally there “on its own” but over the years, the marina has grown to have a variety of places to eat and drink. The brewery also has a couple of Food Trucks that are on a kind of rotating schedule. Details are available on the brewery website or just rock up and be “food truck surprised!” 😉 The taproom itself is quite small but there is undercover seating outside which would be lovely on a sunny day. Considering the size of the brewery, they produce quite a few beers throughout the year. I had 4 tastings and for me, the “Single Track Mind” Red IPA was the standout. I purchased a few to take home, including the Irish Stout, which I can’t wait to try. It’s also dog friendly but must be kept on a leash. Kids are welcome but it is a working brewery so they can’t wander around. That being said, a couple of families were there and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Staff are welcoming and friendly and only too happy to explain the variety of beers on tap.

Dropped into Frankton and had a drink with food at the brewery. What an awesome treat and enjoyable evening. Staff were so nice and welcoming. Food was from the two food trailers outside. And it was such a treat, I haven’t tasted good tasty, flavoured snack meals in such a while. Great evening out. So enjoyable, for a big group as well.

What an awesome place. Great vibes and amazing selection on tap. We got a tasting paddle which allowed us to narrow down our faves. Great choice of indoor and outdoor seating with heaters. There were food trucks outside and we had a selection of food from The Smoke and Pickle which tasted amazing. The kids enjoyed the atmosphere they want to go back.

First time visiting here from the US… such a chill place and reminded me of some of the smaller breweries back in the States. Nice and courteous staff. I tried the foggy googles and another local IPA. Recommend them for a quick sip of a cool one!

Altitude Brewing in Frankton is a gem of a spot. Set beside the lake with views of the mountains and marina, it combines a relaxed, scenic setting with the energy of a true Hackney Wick–style taproom. The beer selection is excellent, the food trucks serve outstanding fare, and there’s plenty of seating both indoors and out. A perfect place to linger over a pint and take in the view.

Altitude Brewing quickly became one of our favourite stops during our ten days in Queenstown. It does get busy, but that just shows how good it is. The beer is fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun, and the service from both the bar and the food trucks was spot on. If you happen to get your hands on a Zeus Skis in Jeans West Coast IPA, you are in for a treat..easily one of the best beers we had on the trip. A great spot to spend an afternoon crushing delicious brews and amazing food from both food trucks out front.

Fantastic brewery in Wānaka with a great atmosphere and an excellent selection of beers on tap. You can also order food from the burger truck The Smoke & Pickle. The beers paired perfectly with the food, and there were plenty of styles to choose from. A fun spot to relax with a quality craft beer and a great bite to eat. Definitely worth a visit.

Altitude Brewing Tap Room is a great spot to kick back and enjoy some awesome craft beers. The atmosphere is laid-back, and they’ve got a great selection of brews to try. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the vibe is perfect for a chill afternoon or evening. Definitely worth checking out if you're a beer lover in Queenstown!

Great brewery right outside Queenstown with a fantastic vibe and list of beers, ales, ciders etc. Sort of a hidden place that if you know you know but I would recommend you seek them out. A huge bonus are the food trucks that provide food for the location: Both the pizza truck and the burger truck will blow your mind with the quality of food served up. Worth a journey when in Qtown

Good small brewery in queenstown! Bonus points for the cute brewery dog that made their round for pets and scratches. 10/10 recommend getting a flight!

A great location near the lake, delicious beer and a fun vibe. The pizza was delicious too! Really friendly staff that helped us choose our beers and set us up with a tasting... This would be a regular spot for me to go if I lived in Queenstown. Highly recommend!

If you're a beer enthusiast and are in Queenstown, Altitude Brewing is a must visit. I first had their beers while I was staying at Milford Sound Lodge and was fortunate to have a couple of extra hours kill before my flight out. I can't say I had a whole lot of local NZ beers that wowed me in my time in there, but the beers at Altitude were nothing short of incredible. It's a shame they're just a local microbrew. They deserve to have wider distribution. But if you're fortunate enough to make it here, have a beer while enjoying the views of Lake Wakatipu.

Great beer . Friendly service. Fun atmosphere and the foods tricks fill the stomach! Locals enjoy the vibe and guests appreciate the service!

If you want some seriously good IPA here's where to be. We ate at a pub 2 nights ago and drank one of their Hazy IPAs. Not only was it outstanding (we have some pretty high standards in North Carolina, NC), that we went back to the actual brewery. The double IPA is this brown ale colored but full flavor of an actual IPA. They have pub food in what looks like a garage style brewery. Don't let that fool you. They have nice picnic tables to sit and enjoy a good brew before hitting downtown. Love.

Great place, great staff, great beer, great time! This brewery is a gem and if I recommend it if you like craft beer. There is a small seating area inside and more seating outside. The beer is brewed right there. They have a great selection from hard seltzers to IPA's, something for everyone. Get a pint or flight and enjoy the ambiance. They have a small selection of merchandise. Parking is in front or down the street too.

Brilliant beer. Brewed on site. Kind staff. Amazing owners. Very much recommend Altitude to anyone looking for a solid pint and good atmosphere. Can't speak highly enough of this establishment. And you can buy bottles or cans to-go. Proud to have such a great spot in Queenstown.
