Altstadt Hotel Bräuwirt

I had the pleasure of staying at your hotel while on a business trip last week and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my stay there mostly due to the incredible service of your front desk staff. The young lady, I believe here name was Michaela, was incredibly helpful in working with my reservations that were made for the wrong dates as well helping me to find remote parking as my vehicle was too tall for your garage. Her colleague was also quite helpful as well with some of my questions about local restaurants, etc. Both of them are a credit to your establishment and present a wonderful first impression to anyone visiting your hotel.

I had a large room with all amenities I could ask for. Breakfast was high-quality with highlights such as fresh fruits, homemade jam (strawberry with rhubarb was great). The minibar had beer from the brewery for a very reasonable price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 day stay at this hotel. It is located in the heart of Weiden, with lots of shopping and restaurants steps away. Service was amazing, the staff was so friendly and helpful. I had a large suite with a comfortable bed. The room was spotless upon arrival. Can't say enough good things about this hotel I will be back!

This is the second time I've stayed here. This time, it was for over 30 days. The hotel staff and service are terrific, and the food at both breakfast and the main restaurant is excellent. The location provides easy walking to shopping and other dining experiences. The train station is also only a 15 min walk away if you want to visit Nurenberg or Regensburg. I've made some great friends while staying here and would definitely recommend.

Definitely one of the best hotel experiences ever. Many famous hotels including the Ritz-Carlton Central Park South, Marriott Marquis among many others. I would be just as happy to go back to this hotel as I would any of those. Staff was fantastic. Rooms were ultra clean. Food was delicious and plentiful. Can't recommend this highly enough.

First and foremost - I'm American and that never helps. My biggest issue was housekeeping stealing from my room, I could have overlooked everything else..... TV loses signal, is in German and no PW provided for Netflix, YouTube, etc. They have never heard of ice cubes at the front desk or in the restaurant. Refrigerators are at a balmy 57 degrees. I get that it's a cultural difference, but all the neighbor bar / grills have invested in ice machines. Food in the restaurant is very good. Drinks would be better WITH SOME ICE. I just had knee surgery and shouldn't have been OCONUS, but duty called. Asked for ice for the swelling everyday - no dice, no effort to even try to help me. Cars are parked in the garage - accessible by a car lift. Once I figured that out and the surrounding village (part sidewalks / part road), it was better. I came in blind. Tough when Google tells to you drive down pedestrian roads. If I have to return to the nearby workplace, I'll go elsewhere. This place had my blood pressure through the roof. I get that I'm abroad, but my Euros are as good as the next persons. .

It only takes a few seconds to figure out why this is the top rated hotel in Weiden. From the check-in to the check-out, the service is friendly and efficient - really first class. The rooms are large, richly furnished, and clean. The free Wi-Fi connection is fast. The breakfast buffet is generous and tasty (and free). Oh, did I mention this place is also a brewery? They have an awesome restaurant with several kinds of freshly brewed beer that is sure to please anyone. The staff all speak English and they accept credit cards. And all of this for a very reasonable price. That's why you will have to squeeze in - this place always seems to be booked full. Heads-up though, the underground garage is serviced by a freight elevator that you have to drive your car into. If you have a full size SUV like me, then "squeezing in" to the hotel has as whole different meaning. Take it slow and easy with the elevator. The weather was unusually hot during my visit, so I would have rating this property 10 stars if they also had air conditioning...

I stayed at this hotel for five days and had a great experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice especially considering the price and we're very clean. We had beers every night in the restaurant we were here. All the food was very good and the beer was great and cheap.

We had a very short notice work trip to the region and this was the 4th hotel I called. From the immediate start Martin provided prompt, exceptional service and rooms at a great rate! Upon arrival, we found the hotel beautiful, very well appointed, charming, and perfectly situated in Weiden. Martin continued to provide superior advice about town and ensured we had an excellent stay. Has wi-fi, underground garage parking, a sauna, small gym, a solarium, and is attached to a restaurant and from the windows you hear the chimes of the church bells. I cannot say enough. I hope I can come back!!

Stayed here for one night enroute Czech Republic. Paid around 200+ Euros for four of us which is rather pricy but not bad for booking the night before. Parking was easy and the suite was very nice. Everything worked well and the staff were great. Phenomenal restaurant with house beers and fantastic breakfast buffet. Would stay here again.

Exceptional service, great breakfast, yummy sauna! Wifi is weak and the blankets on the beds left much to be desired, but I would stay here again, in a heartbeat!
