Tiny hotel with a lift for a heavy luggages or in need. Nice and clean in a heart of old town. Everything is around. Great place and quality for the price, the best I found on market. Self check in.

Great location in the center of Lucerne. My original room had an issue with the heater, and the owners immediately changed it for me, giving me a free upgrade to a double room. They were extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. Really appreciated their professionalism and hospitality.

We arrived at this hotel last month for our honeymoon after a 10 hour flight. We were not able to check-in early because there is no concierge. You check-in using a computer screen. We had luggage and had to carry it around cobblestone roads for 4 hours while we waited to be able to check-in or drop luggage. We were fine with the room, it was small but we weren't expecting anything crazy. The thing that makes me write this review with only 2 stars is that we put the "do not disturb" sign on the door while we were out all day. When we came home, not only was our room cleaned, but the door was left completely open! We didn't get back until 11 or 12pm and to walk up the stairs to our room being open was terrifying - anyone from the hotel could have come in and stolen our belongings. Thankfully, we didn't notice anything missing, but the fact the door was opened in the first place and then left open for anyone to rummage through was terrible. This may have been a one-off experience, so I will say that the location is very good - so if you like the self check-in feature and are just looking for a great location, then it would probably be a good hotel.

Check in process was very smooth and simple! There isn’t a front desk or any other hotel amenities. Room is decently clean but small and old.

Self check in worked ok, but there is no one to contact about problems. We chose this hotel for location and price, but we should have spent more. TV didn't work and no one to contact. We booked for 2 nights and my wife had a medical emergency the second day and we had to leave quickly that day, early in the morning. We finally got back from the hospital and found the room had been cleaned, but ALL the soap was removed. The steep, curved stairs going to the 1st floor elevator are treacherous without bags, more so with luggage.

The access isn’t the best since it’s a bit of a walk from the station. Also, the road is cobblestoned, so you need to be a little creative if you’re pulling a suitcase. When I arrived earlier than the check-in time, the staff at the restaurant on the first floor kindly kept my luggage for me. That was very helpful since I wanted to go sightseeing. The room had a cozy attic-like atmosphere, and the amenities were just right. I found it interesting that the elevator to the room only moved while you held down the button. Considering it’s in a Swiss city and still comes with both a toilet and bath, I thought the price was very reasonable.

Worst hotel stay of my life by far. I was mostly sold by the location but everything else was a mess. Low ceilings, no A/C and only a barely functional fan. Closet door was already broken and couldn’t be opened, sheets were disgusting and there was dust and dirt everywhere. Dead mosquito stains all over the wall and my wife had roaches crawl over her while sleeping if that wasn’t enough. No reception/lobby means you have nobody to complain to.

Three stars for the price and location. I would not recommend staying here in the summer because the lack of AC makes it unbearable. I managed to get decent sleep both nights I startedy here so big win there. The hotel seems like an after thought, "ya we can build a hotel here" is probably how it started. The bathroom door is difficult to open and close. It's a heavy glass door that doesn't lock. The shower has virtually no height so there is a chance you'll flood the bathroom which is worrisome for mold with lack of ventilation. The price and the fact that I slept bumped this to a 3 for me. You get what you pay for.
