Three stars for the price and location. I would not recommend staying here in the summer because the lack of AC makes it unbearable. I managed to get decent sleep both nights I startedy here so big win there. The hotel seems like an after thought, "ya we can build a hotel here" is probably how it started. The bathroom door is difficult to open and close. It's a heavy glass door that doesn't lock. The shower has virtually no height so there is a chance you'll flood the bathroom which is worrisome for mold with lack of ventilation. The price and the fact that I slept bumped this to a 3 for me. You get what you pay for.

DO NOT BOOK HERE — especially in summer. Our stay was extremely disappointing and far below even basic expectations for comfort and service. There’s no air conditioning. In 31°C heat, we had to keep the windows open, letting in bugs. The temperature was cooler outside than in but our room was on the third floor, hot and stuffy. The only fan offered was a tiny, dusty desk fan that did nothing to help. The room had zero sound insulation — we could clearly hear people talking LOUDLY in the next room late into the night. The curtain didn’t even cover the full window. The building next door, which was only 2m away had their lights on all night, making extremely hard to sleep in the already uncomfortable heat. The shower drain was half clogged, causing water to pool and leak into the bedroom. When we asked for help, a maintenance worker came to mop up the water but didn’t fix the drain, so the same thing happened again the next day. Staff only present for a few hours in the day, no one was available to assist. Then the ceiling lights in our room stopped working. Returned to our room one of the days and there were black rocks/debris on the bed, floor, in my belongings, I suspect part of the roof broke off as it had been raining. We tried to get a refund through Expedia after the first night so we could change hotels. Expedia reached out, but there was no response until it was too late because there is no staff until 11am — then denied the refund request altogether.

Almost impossible to find. No lift from ground to 1st floor so we had to carry heavy luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. No air con so the room is absolutely stifling and sleep seems very unlikely. Automated check in so no staff to consult. £946 for 5 nights. If it was possible to move elsewhere we would. And if I could give less than 1star I would. I'm hoping our apartment when we move on to St Gallen is better or it's going to be 12 nights with no sleep.

The room is pretty bare minimum. The lift is an experience. 😂The hosts were quite helpful but doesn’t really understand English (or me in that matter). Your keycard should open the outside door (I was blind; the information is at the door but all the way to the bottom)

STAY AWAY!! From the moment we walked into the room the smell was disgusting! The linens and bathroom clothes had previous guests hair in them. The shower had mold in the corners and ceiling. The walls and floor are paper thin, so when your guests get up early… you are up with them. The bed was awful, better off on the floor. Zero give or cushion. The website advertises rooms, ours was nothing like them, very small, no view or air conditioning. Been travelling Europe and this has been the biggest dive on our travels. Do not waste your money!!

We arrived at this hotel last month for our honeymoon after a 10 hour flight. We were not able to check-in early because there is no concierge. You check-in using a computer screen. We had luggage and had to carry it around cobblestone roads for 4 hours while we waited to be able to check-in or drop luggage. We were fine with the room, it was small but we weren't expecting anything crazy. The thing that makes me write this review with only 2 stars is that we put the "do not disturb" sign on the door while we were out all day. When we came home, not only was our room cleaned, but the door was left completely open! We didn't get back until 11 or 12pm and to walk up the stairs to our room being open was terrifying - anyone from the hotel could have come in and stolen our belongings. Thankfully, we didn't notice anything missing, but the fact the door was opened in the first place and then left open for anyone to rummage through was terrible. This may have been a one-off experience, so I will say that the location is very good - so if you like the self check-in feature and are just looking for a great location, then it would probably be a good hotel.

I stayed in room 361 for two nights (top floor). I had some trouble finding the hotel initially because some other hotel name was printed on the entrance, but once I found it, it was easy to check in via the machine. I’m grateful that the room was ready when I arrived and I was able to check in an hour early. Pros: Fantastic location! I enjoyed walking around. There are tons of shops in the area. Luzern train station is within 5-10 minute walk. Cons: 1) Not entirely accessible. You need to take the narrow stairs from ground floor to 1st floor, and from 5th floor to the attic. 2) Light comes in from the sunroof. There was also constant water-flow noises from the rain. I slept well my first night but not the second. Not ideal if you’re sensitive to noise and lighting or want to sleep in. 3) Yeah it’s the attic so the slopes of the ceilings are steep, you’ll probably hit your head at some point. I enjoyed my stay overall and wouldn’t mind staying here again if I travel solo.

Very nice stay in the absolute best location. Only complaint was that room hadn’t been cleaned at all prior to our self check in. Assumed that cleaners were running late but when we returned at 6pm the room still had dirty sheets on the bed and wet towels on the floor in the bathroom etc However the problem was very quickly resolved by calling the owner.
