We arrived 30 mins before closing time and they still let us in. The waiter was very great! Friendly and efficient. The food was good and the place had a traditional and cosy vibe.

The place was really nice and the food delicious. Here you can eat typical Bavarian food. The stuff was very nice and the waiter even start speaking English with me when he heard I spoke English and not German although my partner in the beginning was speaking only German with him. I was impressed because rarely I fall to waiters in Germany that are willing to speak English when they find out my partner is German. So big thanks for this. 😁

We found the food here to be pretty average and not something we would seek out again. The atmosphere is nice and the establishment has a long history with well-known former guests, and we found the service to be friendly.

Perfect meal! Just amazing from start to finish for a fair price* including quality service. Must try in Augsburg. *0.75l water for 6.5 eur excluded, but we considered that as a part of the tip. ;)

Great food. It was crowded and you need to make a reservation. We didn't make a reservation, because we just arrived in Augsburg. However they serve us anyway and food was delicious. I recommend.

We were recommended this restaurant by our friends so we had high expectations, but all the dishes were very average, which would have been fine but then they charged us €8 for sharing our dishes! We always like to share dishes amongst our group of 6 so we can all try different dishes.. never have we been charged an outrageous fee for sharing our dishes and not been informed of it beforehand. Do not recommend !!

Not just old, but also super cosy and delicious. Highly recommended for those who, like Goethe and co, are on a long journey and need large portions. For everyone else, the friendly staff have a high-percentage solution. Dogs welcome
