Wow. What a remarkable classic Swabian restaurant. We were staying so close to here all week and didn't know this was here. And this tavern has been here for 500 years. Highly recommend.

The place was really nice and the food delicious. Here you can eat typical Bavarian food. The stuff was very nice and the waiter even start speaking English with me when he heard I spoke English and not German although my partner in the beginning was speaking only German with him. I was impressed because rarely I fall to waiters in Germany that are willing to speak English when they find out my partner is German. So big thanks for this. 😁

We arrived 30 mins before closing time and they still let us in. The waiter was very great! Friendly and efficient.

Decent food and friendly service. But the prices are a rip off in parts. They charged us 8€ for sharing a main- without notice. Sharing an already very expensive dish. Extra sides 9€- with notice this time. But in my opinion questionable practices and bad value overall.

Not just old, but also super cosy and delicious. Highly recommended for those who, like Goethe and co, are on a long journey and need large portions. For everyone else, the friendly staff have a high-percentage solution. Dogs welcome

Perfect meal! Just amazing from start to finish for a fair price* including quality service. Must try in Augsburg.
*0.75l water for 6.5 eur excluded, but we considered that as a part of the tip. ;)
