Altstadthotel Wolf - Salzburg

Such a wonderful hotel! The staff was amazing - so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean with nice amenities. The breakfast was also great - so much to choose from. The hotel is also in a great location and you can easily walk to many places of interest. I definitely recommend Hotel Wolf to anyone visiting Salzburg.

Nice Hotel in a convenient aldstadt location. A short walk to everything, but not directly in the middle of everything. We had a junior suite with a courtyard view which is really just a bigger room overlooking a triangular shaped opening in the building that gets noisy if the windows are open. They are taking some liberties with those descriptions. However, it was a pleasant stay all-in-all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. An easy bus ride to and from the train station.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location! Wonderful hospitality, clean, and charming. I very much enjoyed the breakfast, and especially loved meeting the lobby doggy, Willie. Easy to walk to pretty much anything we wanted to see and do. I hope to return and stay at the Alstadthotel Wolf-Salzburg again in the near future!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our late check in and early check out. The rooms were very clean and cozy, especially after long days of exploring the city. The hotel location was unbeatable. Walking distance to main attractions and 3min to a bus stop that can get you to the main train station and airport.

My wife and I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Location is very convenient in the old part of the city and within walking distance to old city attractions. Breakfast was OK, but a little more emphasis on presentation than substance; there aren't many early breakfast options near the hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful as was the breakfast room staff. Room was comfortable.

Cute hotel in a great location, but be prepared for a challenge if you are coming by car. We had to study the instructions and get our google map GPS points correct to enter at the proper location for lowering a bollard letting us into the pedestrian area where we then drove slowly down the roads until we found the hotel, unloaded, then drove slowly back to a parking garage outside the area. You reverse this on departure. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was small and the bathroom didn't allow much privacy. Large suitcases were a bit hard with an old building with odd steps and a small triangular elevator. Breakfast was limited but nice. You could walk everywhere from the hotel which was the best part. So many pretty things were just steps away.

I booked the mini single room for one night to visit the Old Town and see the Christmas market, and couldn’t have picked a better location.||It’s a 25 minute walk from the train station - or an 8 minute light rail ride and couple minute walk. Mozartplatz, the main Christmas market at the Residenzplatz is just a few steps away from the front door. And just a few minutes more to the main shopping street. The funicular to the fortress is a five minute walk. ||The staff were all so friendly, hospitable, and helpful from check-in to breakfast and checkout. ||The mini single room is small of course but very well thought out in layout with a space to hang clothes, some drawers, a desk area, fridge, coffee maker etc. ||Breakfast included cold meats, cheeses, yogurt and toppings, fruit, bread, coffee, juice.||I had a wonderful time and wish I could have stayed longer. Salzburg is beautiful and Hotel Wolf makes a great home base to see the city.

Can't say enough good things about our stay here. Located in the middle of the historic district, near many great cafes and restaurants. Fantastic, friendly service. Food was amazing.
