Altyn Oimok (Алтын Оймок)

Very nice guesthouse, clean rooms and bathroom! A good breakfast as well. Family running the guest house were very nice and helpful! Reccomend doing the carpet making show at the back of the guest house and go to their souvenir shop they have amazing hand made things!

They demonstrate and let you build your own carpet, you can ask everything and participate in the entire process. 100% recommended!

It was the best guest house I stayed around Issyk-Kul Lake area. The renovation and infrustructure of the house were quite new. Large bedroom was clean with good heating system and comfortable bed. Shower was hot. The common area on the ground floor was big and quiet. Breakfast was provided and we had food in a restaurant in town. Wifi system needed some improvement. The only problem for me was that I was not get used to a high pillow.

I had a wonderful stay at Altyn Oimok. The house is very big and beautiful, with very nice rooms and large, new bathrooms- the best I’ve seen in a guesthouse in Kyrgyzstan. Breakfast was also delicious. But most importantly, the family are so warm and generous. They really made me feel at home, and went out of their way to help me recover a lost phone (left in a car on the way there). Added to this, the house also adjoins the felt/crafts workshop - recognised as one of the best in Kyrgyzstan. I couldn’t recommend this guesthouse more. The best!

Not really great. Hosts were not present at all, no help or advice to visit around, bed are the worst bed ever! Even sleeping in a tent is more confortable! I do not recommand, but shower is good and hot, guest house is clean and large, and good situation near the center of the village.

Great value for money and hospitable hosts. Hosts speak English. Good breakfast included.

Shyrdak or Ala Kiyiz Workshops provided by Janyl eje are always full of knowledge, spiritualism and worth every single penny. In summer 2018 she opened a guesthouse that allows tourists to stay in this atmosphere longer learning felt products. The place is also a souvenir shop and received pre-orders for customized felt carpets.

We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was plentiful. The place was clean and very comfortable. We hope to return again!
