Alunan Resort

Our stay at Alunan was short but truly memorable thanks to the exceptional kindness and professionalism of the staff. In particular, Priscilla at the reception was absolutely wonderful,!she went above and beyond to help us in a situation where she was under no obligation to do so. Her warmth, empathy, and dedication made a lasting impression, and we are deeply grateful for her assistance. The overall service at this hotel is of an outstanding standard. For instance, when I missed dinner one evening because I had fallen asleep and the kitchen was already closed, the night team showed incredible thoughtfulness. The night team herself even knocked at my door to bring me some snacks and fresh fruit so that I would not go to bed hungry. That kind of personal attention is rare and deserves to be recognized. That being said, there are a couple of small aspects that could be improved. It would be highly convenient if the hotel had a laundry service, and the beach in front of the property is unfortunately not very attractive compared to other spots on the island. Nevertheless, these details are more than compensated by the extraordinary service and kindness of the staff. Alunan is a place where you are genuinely cared for, and this makes all the difference.

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at Alunan. The stay was fantastic to say the least. From the arrival at the Besut office onwards to the 3 nights stay and return back to Besut, we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything right down to the minute detail was taken care of. If you wish to eat, please proceed to the choice of 2 restaurants serving wonderful food, both local and western. Staff are delightful, always eager to engage and ask after your well being, ensuring you have everything you need for a great holiday. Activities are planned, you can go island hopping and snorkeling (which I strongly recommend for the swimmers). Corals and fishes are great. I saw baby sharks, varieties of fishes, hawksbill turtle and the green turtle.||We also took a spa session, I relaxed so much I fell asleep much to my wife's regret as I snored loudly! We cannot express enough our appreciation to the staff at Alunan. It is obvious that they have been well trained and cared for.||It rained one evening very heavily. A few Chinese tourists were stranded as they could not return to their resort and sat at the restaurant. The Alunan staff gave them with food and drinks and refused to accept money. It was a incredibly kind gesture that showed the best of Malaysian hospitality! Kudos to everyone at Alunan!

Visited early July with 2 old folks and 2 young children for 3d2n stay. It was a wonderful holiday and everyone had the perfect time! I would like to give a shout out to all the boat crew, especially Murad who became best buds with my 6 year old after just 1 snorkeling trip. Actually everyone (from the restaurant staff, to the coral conservation project staff) there were really nice, they all took great care of my little kids, and my 2 senior folks. I highly recommend this resort. Food was also amazing, it catered to everyone in my family from 4 years old to my 81 years old! 😋

Alunan resort is a marvelous place by the sea. The beach is great and the room service is good. Unfortunately, the quality of food is quite low. No continental breakfast was available even though the large majority guests were Italians. Moreover, the service at the restaurant is very slow and the waiters seem very young and inexperienced. Food is also served in a nice sunset deck, though hamburgers and chips are only available between 3:00 and 6:00 pm. More in general I would say that there is no value for money, given that this resort is quite expensive.

We had a truly incredible experience at the hotel, thanks to the exceptional service from the manager, Mr. Brandon and his staff. He was absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. His dedication and kindness made a huge difference.|We also want to give a special shout-out to Chef Will. His professionalism and skill are incredible, and every meal was a masterpiece.|Thank you, Mr. Brandon and Chef Will, for making our stay so amazing! We can't wait to come back

Our stay at Alunan Resort All-Inclusive was simply impeccable. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the service exceeded our expectations. A special thanks to Priscillia, who was incredibly helpful and attentive — she even followed up with us after we had left the hotel. This is exactly the kind of service one hopes for in this type of resort, and it was truly delivered to the highest standard.

Service is good, all inclusive. the snorkeling service is wonderful. room is big, balcony on the second floor really good for sea view. we meet a lizard, and sharks when arrived, that is amazing welcome gift (•̀⌄•́) I'd like to come back in my next vocation.

This was a last-minute booking that turned into a lucky find! Picture this: as your boat approaches the jetty, you're welcomed by a thriving coral ecosystem where baby reef sharks are chilling in the crystal-clear waters. MAGICAL! The staff at Alunan Resort were exceptional - thoughtful, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. As someone afraid my entire life, I never imagined I would find myself snorkeling in open waters. Thanks to the patient and gentle guidance from the team, I had the experience of a lifetime. Swimming alongside sharks, sea turtles, vibrant reef fish, and healthy coral formations in their natural habitat was just wonderful. Highly recommended for an authentic marine adventure in Perhentian Kecil with trademark Malaysian hospitality. Shoutout to Amirul, Akmal, Biha, Asma, Hakim, Yan, Teha, Paul, Priscilla and intern Anis!
