My wife and I stayed at ALVA Hotel by Royal for an extended visit from 9 November to 26 December 2025, and the experience was genuinely wonderful from start to finish.|In particular, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the entire concierge team who were simply brilliant. Every single member of the crew was consistently friendly, helpful, professional, and genuinely caring. They were ready to offer practical help if needed. They managed everything with ease and a smile. Their service was the kind that makes you feel looked after, remembered, and truly welcome.|I would also like to recognize Sam at the front desk who was always friendly and attentive. We are also grateful to Fa Fa, the lady on the 19th Floor who looked after our room with such care. Her cleanliness, kindness, and diligence made us feel comfortable during our stay.|Thanks to the team’s warmth and service, our prolonged stay felt easy, comfortable, and genuinely like home. We are incredibly grateful, and we would happily return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hong Kong — especially for a longer stay.

Good location, shuttle service to sister hotel and adjacent mall is a plus. It's next to the river and park, good for daily exercise. Very quiet and decently maintained hotel. As a frequent customer, always got upgraded to a view room and high floors. Breakfast buffet is decent for the price. Will definitely return in future if visiting Hong Kong. Highly recommended hotel for price, value and beautiful area.

This is not a 5 or 4 start hotel it is a 3-star hotel, but it is a VERY nice 3-star hotel. Some people might consider this a luxury hotel, but if you've stayed in a luxury hotel, you will not consider this that. However, it is a GOOD property. Very clean and modern. Great views. They have an excellent staff, room service and a nice gym and pool as well. The bus that takes you straight to the airport is right across the street at there is a 7/11 at the bottom of the hotel which is so convenient. If you aren't afraid to take the bus then transit from the hotel is really simple. The closest train station is about a 15 miniute walk from the property though. For the price, you really can't beat this though. My room was a nice size, the bathroom was nice. Great shower! The provide very cheap slippers and no robe and no wash cloth. All other towels though. If you are looking for something nice and solid and clean and inexpensive, I would recommend this property.

Best 4 stars hotel in Shatin area. Easy access from HKIA. A direct express bus A41 will stop in front of the hotel. Cost HK$23.4. Getting back to HKIA also very easy. The bus station is across the hotel and it’s the 2nd stop from the terminal in Shek Mun. The hotel also have shuttle bus to transfer to Shatin Train Station or Kowloon Station. The rooftop pool and gym is great. There are 3 restaurant on site. Not the cheapest, but great seafood buffet. Also served dimsum. There also a Japanese restaurant. The hotel is very close by train station, City One or Shek Mun. It’s a 5-10 min walk from the hotel.

Once again we have chosen Alva Hotel. The main reason is the friendly and helpful concierge and reception staffs who are always full of smiles. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to one of the outstanding staffs - Yannes. Another highlight of this hotel is the dinner buffet. It provides a wide varieties of delicious food. It worth to taste it.

I was here on business and wanted to stay in a quieter part of town. Service was great and the facility itself was definitely very spacious. The room was mostly clean, I ended up renewing a night and staying in a different room, had a strange smell.

Exceptional service! The team went above and beyond to ensure our family had a wonderful time. The front desk was very receptive and helpful, setting a great first impression. So impressed by the personal touch.

Good buffet in this hotel especially for their lunch buffet, sometimes they have good deals/promotions going on

HK buffet is always nice and popular. A lot of YouTuber have mentioned about the buffet in ALVA hotel. Personally I didn't really enjoy the food there and didn't find it as nice as they mentioned. They had a nice seafood bar there. Lobster, oyster, mussels, shrimps and some other sushi and sashimi there. Those are quite nice and fresh. The Japanese Yakitori bar was pretty good. When I comes to the main courses. Roast beef, lamb, stir fry of different sorts were disappointing. Dessert was also average. Service and ambiance was really good. $88 for all you can drink draft beer, that's a plus.
