The 28 Best Hotels in Buenos Aires for Foodies, Tango Enthusiasts, and Architecture Lovers | Condé Nast Traveler

"This Puerto Madero high-rise blends luxury, art, and technology, offering spacious, elegant rooms with beautiful views and contemporary comforts. Multiple dining spaces include a ritzy kosher restaurant and a trendy lounge bar with sweeping panoramas, and proximity to landmarks like Puente de la Mujer and Fragata Sarmiento makes it a strong choice for both indulgent vacations and business trips." - Celeste Moure

Modern hotel in the Puerto Madero district. It has a rooftop bar with excellent views over the city and over the River Plate towards Uruguay. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. There is a kosher restaurant which serves food acceptable to all tastes. You can get a very English afternoon tea complete with fresh scones.

Overall, the hotel has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. However, the breakfast is very disappointing — it’s extremely small, always the same, and simply not enough. There are absolutely no vegetables and the selection is tiny, so there’s basically nothing to eat. Another issue is that sometimes the room service staff enter the room without knocking, which is very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

We recently stayed at the Alvear Icon Hotel for three nights and were very impressed by how beautiful, modern, and elegant the property is. The design and comfort are truly first-class, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay, we felt very well taken care of. Unfortunately, our experience took a disappointing turn after we left. We realized after flying to Iguazú that we had forgotten a small travel bag containing some perfumes, which were a special gift for my mom. We immediately contacted the hotel, and they kindly confirmed that they had found the bag. On our way back, we even made the trip from the airport to the hotel to pick it up before catching our international flight. However, when we retrieved the bag, we were very unhappy to discover that the perfumes were missing. It was disheartening, especially after such a lovely stay and the professionalism we had experienced from the staff.

One of Buenos Aires' most iconic hotels — a true architectural gem that captivates at first sight. Sophistication radiates from every corner, with impeccable design and attention to detail that elevate the entire experience. The brunch is simply unforgettable: a feast of flavors, beautifully presented in a refined atmosphere that turns any Sunday into a luxurious celebration.

Top notch hotel. Exceeded our expectations. Upscale decor. Our room faced the pool but it had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The bathroom was massive with marble throughout. You could easily shower 4 people at one time! The room was spacious, inviting and quiet. We loved the indoor atrium for breakfast. Would definitely return.

Luxury hotel that just keeps delivering on every level. From the moment you arrive the check in, room allocation etc is slick. The rooms are spacious with good views and the bathroom quite something else. The bar at the top has a magnificent view. A hotel to create memories.

They rent out the first floor and have parties where they put the music and bass noise very loud. The base vibrates up the building into the 7th floor. They won't turn down the music even at 4 in the morning. front desk rude.... and refused to turn down the music. the whole hotel room is thumping and vibrating. Front desk is unhelpful.

Amazing hotel with recently remodeled, upgraded rooms! Will stay here again the next time I'm visiting Argentina. The concierge gentleman was also very helpful and helped us book multiple restaurants and a tango show. We initially booked the Faena across the street and had a horrible experience so we rolled our suitcases over and asked the front desk at the Alvear Icon for a tour of their rooms and loved it so much more we changed hotels at once. They were very accommodating and we ended up loving our stay. They also have a great spa / indoor pool with nice views. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Whoa- yes, please. Alvear Icon is a very luxurious hotel that delivers a sense of awe as the decor is far above and beyond what is expected from a luxury hotel. There are so many details that stand out at this property that make it next level. First, let me provide some context for our stay. We are part of an Antarctic Cruise departing from BA to Ushuaia. The cruise company; Seabourn has chosen this hotel as the meeting point and we are staying here one night before taking a bus to a charter flight. That being said, the property is stunning and the staff is very helpful. Check in was very easy and when we got to our suite in the 13th floor, we were in awe of the beautiful view of the Puerto Madero district as well as Parque Colón. The suite itself was very posh. The marble in the bathroom was the most opulent I had ever seen in a hotel suite. Worth of mention was also the softness of the bedsheets. These have to be my favorite of any hotel I've stayed in the world over. A very comfortable sleep was had. The amenities are great too- we tried the workout room which had a good selection of treadmills and bikes, plus amazing views of the conservation area. My only regret is only staying here one night, but if the opportunity ever presents itself to stay in BA again, I'd love to come back!

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel with great service, really nice big rooms, good restaurants, and a super location. There's a lot to do in the area and is safe to walk around.

Yelp
My daughter and I were originally booked at another Alvear hotel through our cruise vendor which added an extra week stay. Long story short due to the transfer and lost communication, Tomas at the front desk handled all issues and did it with a smile. Our room was perfect and loved the bathroom. Francisco set us up with the best 3 hour tour of Buenos Aires. Augustine introduced me to the Argentina latte and for some reason he was the only one who could get it just right. I love the park next to the hotel and walked 30 minutes every morning. The hotel is located Puerto Madero, which I learned was the new rich section. It is not close to the Metro, but since I enjoy walking it worked out great! I highly recommend this hotel and hopefully will return soon. I anticipate that the Hotel Management will recognize just how valuable Tomas is and will promote him soon. What made it really exciting is we were there during the World Cup semi and final playoffs!!!!

Yelp
A caring, attentive, clean, well appointed hotel with a great location for Puerto Maduro. Spent 4 nights. Loved all of them. It's great value for money, has a cool rooftop bar and restaurant, spa and proximity to great retail and restaurants. I will be back.

Yelp
I asked several people if they new of a high rooftop where I could see the city and i got no answer, I don't know, but Argentinians really should know this place, or maybe I asked the wrong people..the view at 32 are marv!
