Never expected to find a local Portuguese restaurant in Cornwall. This nicely located, very friendly owners (Sue and Antonio) pacts a very fresh seafood menu that tastes just like the time I was in Porto. Quality of food was amazing and the price to portions were well worth it. You need to try the full three course as it is all made by them. The hand made ceramics they have are also great as a souvenir. Must try but remember to book prior as they do get busy every day. They close on Sunday and Monday.

Always wanted to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Delicious food in a friendly restaurant. Highly recommended!

This place is the real deal. Unpretentious and authentic, this local Portuguese restaurant really focuses on excellent quality fish and true home cooking flavours without fuss or frills. We had memorable seafood rice, grilled sardines, scallops and grilled gurnard. The best food I’ve had in some time. Felt like I was on holiday and can’t wait to return.

Alvorada is an absolute gem. An intimate little restaurant with only 4 tables in the home of the owners. Antonio, the chef, goes out fishing 2 or 3 times a week and cooks whatever is in season and he catches. The food is exquisite and the owners are very charismatic and have lots of stories to share. Definitely one for a special occasion - mains are around £20 and starters £8-£10. Truly special dining experience!

Antonio and Sue were amazing. What an unusual find- really fantastic food with Portuguese flavor. Focus on locally caught fish cooked really well, without fuss but great flavours. Cannot recommend highly enough

My wife and I ate here on Wednesday 28th May and loved every minute and mouthful. The owners are lovely and the food full of flavour and delicious. I had the scallops to start and they were exceptional. For my main I had the local cod with veg and my wife had the chicken and chourico kebab. Food of the Gods! Looking forward to visiting again. Lovely small intimate restaurant with awesome owners ! Portuguese chef is the owner and wife sue front of house. Lovely couple with stories to tell so do engage with them ! Food is exceptional

The second time we have eaten here, but the first time in a long time. Hosts were so good. Food top notch. Cannot wait to return next year.
