I recently dined at Alwaha Restaurant, and I must say, it’s hands down the best Yemeni food I’ve had in New York! The flavors are authentic, rich, and truly take you on a journey to Yemen. The lamb haneeth was perfectly tender and juicy, the fahsa was seasoned to perfection, and the freshly baked mulawah bread was soft and paired beautifully with everything. The service was exceptional as well – the staff were welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, perfect for a family meal or a casual dinner with friends. If you’re looking for authentic Yemeni cuisine, Alwaha is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back again!

Food was excellent! Enjoyed the complimentary salad and soup . Nicely decorated.

Customer service is worse than zero need new waiter who works actively and give good service, quality of food was good, but quantity of good is terrible, May be chef don't want to cook again he's lazy inna. compare other restaurants there kabsa and Zarbian is very less portion, owner should take action good person.

Authentic halal Yemeni Food. Please try the Fahsah and the Maloog Bread! Can’t go wrong with the Kabsah, it’s a staple.

The food options are awesome and the best part was - everything was Halal. Loved the ambient as well. Recommending the lemonade and kabab items. Didn't like he Fahsa. The naan was too crispy.

One of the best Yemeni restaurants I’ve ever been to. Excellent food and pretty expansive menu. I ordered the Haneeth, grilled chicken, Kibbeh and hummus with chicken shawarma. All the dishes were excellent. I highly recommend the Haneeth here which is the slow cooked lamb. If you like lamb, then I think you will love this dish. The grilled chicken isn’t for everyone. My family doesn’t like the charred taste but I’m a huge fan of it. It’s very common to get this type of chicken in the Middle East and the charred/grilled flavor is what makes the dish unique. The rice is super flavorful and rich. All the vegetables in the accompanying salads were super fresh along with the limes they gave with the soup. That’s a good indication of the quality of a restaurant, when their raw veggies are super fresh. This restaurant used to be called Oasis Mediterranean. I’ve been coming here for years. About 5 years ago the restaurant was sold to new owners/management and it was renamed to Alwaha. I’ve seen the improvements made since the restaurant was sold. Bravo to the new ownership! By the way, Laila at the front takeout counter was great! Super friendly, professional and very kind. New ownership/management: you need to retain this employee and give her a promotion/raise! She represents excellent service/quality and elevates your brand and customer experience. Thank you Laila!

I went there 3/4 times. But trier food tested like charcoal. They burn the grill chicken totally. And when we try to tell them to fix that they refuse to do that. Totally ridiculous
