To whom it may concern,
We dined with yall last night, and had a few hiccups during our experience. We ordered 2 small plates and the rack of lamb. After about an hour during our stay, both tables around us (who sat after us) recieved a rack of lamb, which I thought was a little odd, but did not complain and waited patiently for another 30 minutes before we were told there was no more lamb and we needed to order another entree. At this point we had kind of lost our appetite, and opted for dessert instead. The server wanted to double check that rum cake was available, but I still needed to stop him at some point and ask. I was assured it was available, ordered it, and about 30 minutes after that was told there was no more rum cake. We still thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, drinks, and the 3 items we had the pleasure of actually recieving. What really bothered me, was the fact that we were at the restaraunt for over 2 hours, and when the bill came, the dessert was the only thing comped. I am a bartender of 15yrs in new orleans, and if a table had gone through all of that, they wouldnt have a bill. And honestly I would have been happy if even a couple of drinks would've been comped along with the 2.5hr dessert that we had for an entree. Thank god I was sitting across from my beautiful bride on our honeymoon, because I'm not sure I would have held it together otherwise. I'm sincerely hoping that in the future, someone less understanding of the service industry doesn't have the same experience at your restaraunt.
