Ama at Cane Bay

Hands down our best meal while visiting St. Croix. If you appreciate delicious, well curated food in a serene and beautiful setting, this is the place for you. Our entire meal was wonderful. Service was 10/10 and the location was beautiful. Pictures just don’t do it justice but I’ll leave some anyways. Make a reservation ahead of time as seating is limited. Go here, you won’t regret it!

This was the best meal we had on St. Croix! I had a delicious pork chop—so good it was hard to describe. The roasted potatoes were average, but the asparagus that came with it was fantastic. My husband had the coconut-crusted mahi and enjoyed it very much. For appetizers, we had a spinach salad with heirloom tomatoes, goat cheese, and a balsamic drizzle—it was fresh and delicious. We also tried the crab dip, served hot with crusty bread. While we liked it, it wasn’t our favorite part of the meal. Dessert was carrot cake, which I highly recommend—it was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere is unbeatable. You feel like you’re right on the beach, even though you’re safely tucked away on a hillside (or a bit of a cliff), with waves lapping against the rocks right in front of you. It’s important to make reservations in advance—we booked several days ahead for a Wednesday, so I’d recommend reserving at least three days out. Our server was excellent—very professional and attentive. And the virgin mojito was refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Ama at Cane Bay is an incredible spot for a memorable evening out! We went for a double date and specifically requested seating on the ocean-view grotto side—it did not disappoint. The view was absolutely stunning, and the sound of the tide elevated the entire experience, making it feel magical. The food was delicious. I had the Buddha’s Feast, which was flavorful and satisfying, while my husband enjoyed the almond-crusted Mahi. However, the real highlight for me was the chocolate peanut butter mousse pie—it was simply divine and the perfect way to end the meal! I did dock one star for communication, as I made the reservation well in advance and tried multiple times to arrange something special for our friends, but I never heard back from the restaurant. Still, the overall experience was wonderful, and I’d recommend Ama for its fantastic atmosphere, great food, and unbeatable views.

My husband and I dined here on the last night of our honeymoon and I can say it absolutely did not disappoint. The chef David, server Lee, and the bartender V up the stairs at Sunset Bar were fantastic the entire night. We went right at sunset and the view, fresh tuna (they caught that morning), the steak, and the atmosphere were absolutely perfect for our last night on the island! Would 100% recommend to anyone considering and we definitely plan on dining here again!

This is my new favorite dinner spot on st croix - food was so delicious, especially the fresh tuna appetizer special with a wasabi sauce…each bite tasted like the ocean in the best way. Perfect for a hot day and a solid portion. Drink could have been a bit stronger but was quite tasty as well. Views and ambiance were perfection. Only complaints would be that they don’t do anything to acknowledge birthdays and service was slow at the end (appreciated not being rushed though) when we’d hoped to leave before it got too dark

We had an amazing experience at this mot so hidden gem, beautiful location, great service and the food was delicious! We had the ginger curry mussels and the pork chop entree, both exceeded our expectations! We were able to get in last minute and could not have been more pleased! Thank you!

The food was delicious, had the surf n turf and the pork chops, everything was so tender, the tuna appetizers and desserts did not disappoint either.

We also had the pleasure of being served by Emily, the bartender, who deserves a special shout-out! Her mixology skills are top-notch, and her recommendations for cocktails perfectly paired with our meals. She was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
