Ama Lachei

Ama Lachei is a wonderful spot in Athens with a lovely atmosphere. The green garden creates such a cozy setting and is just perfect for soaking up some sunlight in the winter. The food was simple but absolutely fantastic, well-prepared, flavorful, and comforting. A place I would highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a relaxed, beautiful environment.

the service was excellent — we joked around with the waiters, and they even recommended dishes to us. The food arrived very quickly, with large, filling portions that were also very tasty. There are plenty of vegan options, and the fava in particular was delicious. The hummus didn’t wow me, but the cauliflower was outstanding. As for dessert, the cheesecake was AMAZING. Overall, it’s a lovely place and I would definitely go back to eat there again.

Its a interesting restaurant with tasty food but very busy and noisy. Atmosphere is more for people coming with a big company of 10 or more people so they chat loud and share meals. Calamari was soft and excellent,sauce was nice,but they decide to mix it all up with potatoes before serving. Also salad is a bit over dressed with dressing. I personally have impression like chef is playing role of the mom and say that you need to eat your vegetables and mommy will mask it with plenty of something over it. Taste is nice,but because of atmosphere i would prefer to visit other places too

If you're visiting Athens, you have to come and eat at Ama Lachei at the start or end of the trip, depending on whether you wish to begin or finish your trip to the city with the best meal of your year. The restaurant presents you with well curated mezzes that will leave you full to the brim and trying to figure out how to fit another bite. 10/10 no more notes

Beautiful garden setting – make sure to reserve! This restaurant has a stunning garden atmosphere, but be sure to make a reservation if you’d like to sit there — it fills up fast. We were seated in the back area, which was comfortable, but the garden is definitely the highlight. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Kavourma with hummus, roasted eggplant with feta, and chicken risotto — all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The highlight, though, was the cheesecake with lime and almond crumble. It was the smoothest, most delicious cheesecake I’ve had in Greece. Highly recommend!

Big small plates restaurant. really nice atmosphere both in the court yard and inside. I had a lovely pumpkin soup, pulses salad and a postcard shank - as the waiter said. Way too much for one person but worth it. Very delicious

The food is just amazing and full of surprises. It’s not the ordinary type you can get anywhere in Greece, it comes with some unexpected taste and unexpectedly amazing! We ordered the grilled sardines, the veggie sauce for the fish is amazing, sweet and sour with tons of freshness, perfect combination with the sardines! We did not get the tables in the lovely courtyard, but sitting indoor is equally nice in hot summer.
