The atmosphere is great, and the waiters are attentive, but the dish was a bit different from how I’ve had it many times elsewhere — it had more onions. It wouldn’t be my first choice.

we had an amazing time between the very nice waiters and the food (which was super super delicious). the place is nice, spacious and typical, also we were really well welcomed and well advised. The food was stunning and there were soooo many options for all kinds of tastes from typical german food to more regular food. We chose the « amadeus salad » which was one of the best salad we ever had (grilled, spiced & juicy turkey breast, fresh fruits, amazing salad and dressing) and another dish in which there was soooo many different specialties (like cheesy spatzeles, german dumplings, meatball, potato salad, etc). So if you don’t know what place to choose for eating definitely CHOOSE THIS ONE (we come from france)

Great place for getting good quality german food. Highly recommend their cake and ice cream. The rhubarb cake paired with Amadeus ice-cream was just perfect. The setting, in a quiet courtyard is just perfect for a sunny day lunch. The beers are cold the service and food is warm. Just perfect.

Tasty food and a great selection of German and international options. The Jambalaya was really great! Location is great too: right next to Charlottenplatz tram and the city center.

Good atmosphere, friendly and fast service. Food was average taste. I had the Kleine Schwabenreise which had Frikadelle with brown sauce, Käse Spätzle, Maultaschen and Kartoffelsalat. The best on this dish was Maultaschen. Sadly that Käse Spätzle could have been more cheese aroma and was served quite cold and the Spätzle seem to be a ready product as the consistency and the texture of Spätzle were not on point. Kartoffelsalat wasn't combined well with the seasoning. Frikadelle was okayish and the sauce could have had more taste. I found that the food price was quite high for the quality that I got. But the service was just great!

Refused by the waiter to sit inside because it was cooler under the ventilator, as it is 33C outside today. After spending €70 on food (that tasted like soap powder) & drinks the waiter wanted to charge us €4,50 to fill my water bottle with tap water as we were leaving.

We had a lovely dinner in the outside courtyard of Amadeus. The weather was sunny and perfect for a dinner outdoors. We enjoyed the white asparagus served with a plate of cold cut hams. We also had a plate of Swabian delights including a spinach dumpling, potatoes, Käsespätzle and fried schnitzel. It was a great setting to enjoy the food and a glass of German Riesling. Staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I recently visited the place to chat a bit with some colleagues. Indoors it has a nice vaulted ceiling. I think that the history goes back quite a long time. The audience is really mixed (business people, couples, teenage girls, a group of friends, etc). We just had a few beers, so I cannot comment on the food. The drinks are slightly more expensive than elsewhere, but I am fine with that. The waiter was (a bit too) impersonal, but the waitress was friendly.

Yelp
Beautiful big back patio, really friendly and helpful servers, small, but quality beer selection, and delicious food. It was my first experience with maultaschen and it was super tasty; the dressing on the side salad, while simple, was very good and I'm inspired to recreate it at home! My partner's cheese spaetzle was also delicious! It's worth a stop!

Yelp
We have dined here a few times as it is close to where we live. I usually have a hamburger but on our last visit they had American style BBQ! I had the BBQ beef and my wife had the pulled pork. We were surprised at how good it was. The BBQ is only on Sunday. We have only dined outside in the beer garden, but we really like Amadeus and will be coming back. If you want to dine inside they are on Open Table for reservations.

Yelp
My husband and some friends were on a trip to Stuttgart and we had been given the recommendation to come out and give this restaurant a try by a German DMC. The outside patio was very comfortable, the service could be a bit faster, but the food was absolutely delicious! We were in the city for one more night and the next day we decided to go back for another yummy lunch :)

Yelp
Watched the semi-final World Cup match between France and Belgium here. The food was very good and the service was good for a large crowd. They had several televisions so everyone could see the match. I had the kasespatzle (mac-n-cheese) and my husband had steak and spatzle. Both were delicious. The strudel was so/so but the pistachio ice cream was great.

Yelp
Steps away from the Charlottenplatz U-Bahn stop, in a huge old building painted a 'can't-miss-it' shade of yellow, Amadeus has the distinction of being the first restaurant that we voluntarily visited twice within our first week in Stuttgart. The menu is typical Swabian and German dishes (think spaetzel, maultaschen, wienerschnitzel) as well as some "international" dishes of pasta, hamburgers, wraps, and the like. Both visits we've stuck to the local specialties and been quite pleased. While tons of restaurants in the area serve these dishes, we both agreed that Amadaeus seems to have a bit more of a deft hand with seasoning and presentation than is typical. They also get a lot of tourist traffic, which means an English menu upon request, English-speaking waitstaff, and yes, you can use your credit card here! (A rarity in many restaurants). The setting is just perfect - the combination of the historical site (the building was an orphanage in the 18th century) and the warm modern decor is definitely a step up compared with similar restaurants in the immediate area. A good place to take a date for casual dinner, or family that are visiting from out of town.

Yelp
Becoming one of our favorites!

Yelp
My fiance and I needed a place for dinner. I had just gotten off two flights from New York and was absolutely exhausted and starving. The restaurant seated us right away. We had great service. The waitress recommended a red wine that was amazing. I ordered the pasta and my fiance had the beef ragu. Both were incredible. I would definitely recommend Amadeus.

Yelp
Among all restaurants in Stuttgart Amadeus is really good one. The restaurant's menu offers a wide choice of traditionally Swabian dishes including Käsespätzle, Maultaschen, and Sauerbraten. But not only German delicacy Pasta and Apfelstrudel are also there :) Restaurant has good location (near Rathaus), service is quite good, prices are also OK. So, it's a good choice for everybody.

Yelp
The Local Swabian fare that my girlfriend and i tried at Amadeus was excellent-unfortunatelly the service was only subpar. We tried the maultaschen(ravioli stuffed with spinach and meat)and the meatballs, both were excellent! The beer was cold and wonderful.

Yelp
Had an excellent dinner here after a long day of sightseeing in Ludwigsburg. I had the meatballs (fleischkuchel) and my wife had maultaschen (beef and spinach stuffed raviolis) and we were both very pleased. The meatballs were very savory and the maultaschen were great. We also had a side of potato salad that was so good; second only to my mom's.

Yelp
One of my more favored places to go for a simple yet good meal when I'm in the city. I like the atmosphere and is a good place to drink with friends. The food is traditional Schwäbisch cuisine and hasn't let me down since I first came here.

Yelp
Not the biggest fan of amadeus, the Swabian food is OK, but you are in the heart of Schwabenland, there is no excuse for OK Swabian food. Price is a bit on the steep side. They serve Kölsch and have ample seating. Smokers are asked to go outside.

Yelp
The local Swabian fare that my husband and I tried at Amadeus was excellent - unfortunately the service was only subpar. We tried the maultaschen (ravioli stuffed with spinach and meat) and the meatballs, both were excellent! The beer was cold and wonderful, as usual for Germany. I am aware that service in Germany tends to run a bit slower than the U.S., but the Biergarten seemed understaffed and unorganized. We waited until well after two tables near us that were seated after us had menus and even drinks before someone brought us a menu. When the waitress dropped off the menu she didn't even make eye contact, just dropped them off. Forget trying to get a menu in English, it'll add another 15 minutes onto your wait. Once we finally had our menus the waitress was impersonal and fast. If this had been a busy Friday or Saturday night, I would have understood, but it was a Monday at 17:00. The food was excellent but the poor service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
Just had brunch. Awesome selections (even have pancakes!!), tons of fruit, anti pastas, breads, eggs and meat selection. Worth the price. Not to mention the great outdoor space!
