Amalfi Coast is always a favorite of mine. I would personally say that it is the best Italian food that you can get on Kent Island. From the food to the service, everything is fantastic. My party dined in on a Thursday evening and we were seated immediately. Our server for the night was Kate who was very personable and attentive throughout the entire dining experience. When it came time to order our main course, my party had some questions about the menu which Kate was happy to answer. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and always had a smile. I ordered a Fettuccine Bolognese that was plated very nicely. It had a rich, meat sauce that was perfect for the dish. Everything blended together nicely, with nothing being overly strong. The portion-size was large, having plenty to take home. The atmosphere is nice for what it is, giving an Italian feel to the restaurant. However, the table we were seated at was a four-top and despite my party only having three guests, it did feel a bit cramped for table space. The lighting is nice with plenty of natural light coming in from the large windows overlooking the street. The architecture is okay but felt very commercial. What was meant to be accented pencil tiles on the wall were just painted yellow wood trim that was very large for its purpose. Overall, the dining experience was fantastic and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great service and expectational Italian cuisine.

This is our favorite restaurant on Kent Island. The food and drinks are always great, everyone is friendly. It might be too noisy sometimes because it is always crowded , especially in the evenings.

This was my 2nd time here and to be honest the first time was meh, which is why I waited over 3 years to come back… But this second time was great! For starters we had the meatball appetizer that tasted like meatballs and grits. The meatballs were a little dry. Then I decided I would try … {drumroll please} Pollo Al Limone !!! And the lemon sauce literally knocked my sandals off ☺️ The pan seared chicken breast was perfectly cooked and please don’t underestimate the power of those peas and broccoli because they were delicious. I did taste some of my friends Pear Purses and OMG they were AMAZING 🤩 Look forward to coming back sooner than three years .

Google
Food and service great, the out door area could use a little makeover.. fresh flowers and tablecloths would have matched the exquisite Amalfi limincello spritzer. All in all a lovely brunch

Google
This quiet Italian restaurant and wine bar brings big bats to the baseball game of food. Every dish we had from the appetizer to main course was a grand slam of flavor with every bite which you don’t get in today’s world at a lot of places but here was like the World Series of flavors with every bite. Also the food was not heavy to where after you feel stuffed but rather satisfying and full with that Italian love. Now the staff was amazing and extremely attentive to not just our needs but all customers and they were all so pleasant. Hats off to this hidden gem

Google
A very quaint place, beautifully decorated and the service is outstanding. The food is delicious, and the deserts are scrumptious

Google
Had a nice meal here. The scallops were good and the service up at the bar from the bartenders was great. My only nitpick is the risotto that was served with my dish — they certainly serve you a lot of it, but it was pretty watery and bland (mostly tasted lime the stock it was cooked in). So the verdict is good, but maybe not great.

The quality was good and relatively authentic to Italian food. A bit pricey but you seem to get your money's worth.

Yelp
It never fails to be a great experience. I have been to the Amalfi Coast several times and have always been impressed. The food is excellent, with large portions. Everything is freshly prepared, and care is taken to ensure your meal exceeds your expectations. The service is professional and attentive. The staff is knowledgeable of the menu and how to pair libations with the meal to accentuate your order.

Yelp
What an amazing dinner and birthday celebration. Ben, once again provided exceptional service. We were placed in their backroom seating area, which was very nice and cozy . Food, I am not a scallops person, however, friends advised me to try them. Scallops mosato was fantastic. Use bread for sauce, extrasang yummy. Lasagna bites were good, but they have much better starters. Chicken Parmigiana special was large and delicious. Lobster ravioli was also very good. Dessert, normally don't order, chocolate souffle was excellent. Reservation for November return all set. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Christmas Eve, enjoyed the Seven Fishes pasta dish! It did not disappoint! Just amazing and more than checked the box for traditional Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve! This dish is a keeper! Full compliment of appetizers delighted us all! Service per Ben was exceptional! Just perfect! The accompanying staff was equally stellar. The welcome is warm at the cosy entrance and carefully appointed decorations. Inspired great expectations and the chefs and staff followed through. Maintain the level of service and creative, delicious dishes. Recommend with great enthusiasm! Happy holidays to all and thank you!

Yelp
Loved the building both inside and outside. Food was very good. I had gnocchi and other guest the lasagna. The lasagna is a big portion. We both had gelato for dessert. The chocolate gelato was excellent. Service was very good. Would highly recommend. Will be back when we cross bay bridge again. Love the artsy town too .

Yelp
This experience has restored my faith in customer service! I had an order issue and Kristy at Amalfi Coast really took care of the issue and then some. I am grateful for this service since it had definitely disappeared from some establishments the past few years. I will be a life long customer here- Just keep up the stellar customer service. Thank you and will be back soon!

Yelp
We just love this restaurant! The food is consistently delicious and the service is professional, accommodating, and the people are really special. Our regular party of 6 has had many things in the menu and we have never been disappointed. Never! Even the kids chicken tenders and fries are yummy. The restaurant has a great vibe; casual and relaxed yet you know you're in a fine dining establishment. You can tell everyone at Amalfi works hard to present delicious food in a truly lovey environment. Don't miss it.

Yelp
Impeccable! Service, ambiance, and food; THE epitome of fine dining at its core. Greeted with a friendly smile. Seated promptly with service perfectly right in line leaving us in want of nothing, we had such a great time. Food presentation was sublime. If we lived in the area we would be regular customers all the time.

Yelp
Good service. Food was delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good drinks. Easy parking.

Yelp
Dropped someone at the park n'ride in town last weekend and wanted to get dinner. Thank you yelp reviewers. We stopped here because of the reviews. So glad we did. The food was great and unique. We started with the meatballs and polenta which were both quite tasty. My wife had Risotto Di Mano and I had the Saccheti. Both we outstanding and not something we had seen on a menu before. The restaurant is 1:30 from home but might be worth the drive.

Yelp
What a beautiful setting as we drove into Stevensville and saw the restaurant all lite up with white Christmas (?) lights. If the lights are only set up for the holidays, they should consider keeping them up all year. There were 6 of us but I'll only describe 2 of the entrees - everyone, however, thoroughly enjoyed their dinner. Because of a fairly late lunch, we did not have appetizers (or dessert) although there were many tempting ones - in fact , one was ordered as an entree. The Carpaccio Di Manzo was thinly sliced Tenderloin with Capers, Mustard Aioli and slices of Parmesan. It was delicious. The Veal Saltimbocca was a very generous portion of tender Veal with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, and a delicate Marsala sauce. It was served with Asparagus and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. With a couple of glasses of wine and one cocktail, the bill per couple, before tip, came to a very reasonable $62. This is a place to check out.

Yelp
Ambiance was classy. Service was okay. Pizza was awful. Ordered a Margherita pizza and it was not made with quality fresh ingredients. Appetizer were good. Not worth the pricing though.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food! Ordered via DoorDash so I can't comment on the service but our food arrived fast and piping hot! We tried the bruschetta and bolognese. Both were fantastic and fresh. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!

Yelp
I stopped at Amalfi one afternoon while biking the Cross Island Trail. It was a cute pit stop on our return trip. I wasn't overly impressed but the location is relatively convenient and the salad was fresh! Meatballs and polenta. Interesting pairing, but was good enough. The tomato sauce was bland and tasted like canned tomato sauce with not much else. The texture of the meatballs and the meatballs themselves were good. I wasn't keen on the polenta and meatball textures together. The salad was the best part! It was fresh and a great combination of nuts, fruits and greens. I added chicken to mine which was a bit dry. My friend enjoyed the shrimp on their salad. We ordered the same salad, different proteins. The water served I am assuming was tap as it had a strong metallic taste. I likely could have ordered a bottle of water but wasn't making a huge deal about it. All in all, it was a good stop. I would stop again and give them another shot but try the dinner menu the next time.

Yelp
I decided to try this place with my son in town and I was pleased. It is a beautiful place in the center of Stevensville and has ample parking. I had the braised short rib with polenta, and it was wonderful. The bread they bring you to start is fresh and delicious. We ordered appetizer of Calamari and it was crisp and flavorful. Not just rings, but whole Calamari. My son had the lasagna and said it was perfect and one off the best he has ever had. They have plenty of wines to choose and an adjoining wine bar if you want to sit there and have drinks. There is outdoor seating as well when the weather permits. The prices are a bit on the high side but for the atmosphere and location, I understand. It is best to get reservations if you want to go.

Laurel L.

Yelp
Read Rogers F. 4/21/24 review - I second his motion but would add that the wine was lovely. We were five high school pals in search of a memorable dinner and we were not disappointed! The hosts offered us a semi-private room and we lucked out to get Abby who was a wonderful server - interested and interesting - full of excellent recommendations and worked hard to accommodate all of our requests which included some HVAC adjustment. The food was excellent - every bite induced oohs and aahs. The Burrata & tomato appetizer, the Brussel sprouts, arugula salad all paved the way for the main courses: Risotto al Manzo, pear & gorgonzola purse pastas and the gnocchi were all fabulous. We were asked about dessert but we had no room left. The only thing keeping me from being a regular is the 2,500 miles between where I live and Stevensville, MD.

Yelp
My wife and I have cherished this restaurant over the years, so it was a pleasure setting up a noon reservation for Memorial Day weekend, for our anniversary. Word to the wise though, the Lunch page on their web site mentions that lunch is "Served Daily from 11am - 4pm"... Alas we were told that, "on Sundays, the lunch menu is only available starting at 2pm, all we have is the brunch menu." And unfortunately, as the brunch menu is very limited, and more mundane than their lunch menu. Not a great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! The server was great in providing recommendations for our first time. The Saccheti with pear and Gorgonzola was so delicious and the wine was cold. The atmosphere was cozy. Great place!

Roland F.

Yelp
Exceptional Italian dinner on Kent Island. Starts with white table cloths, individual table lighting, large glass of water and hot bread with olive oil/garlic tip. Then an appetizer of perfectly fried fresh calamari and wine by the glass (Ateems Savignon Blanc!). Our entrees were Fifty Layer Lasagna and PAPPARDELLE ALLO ZAFFERANO (Gulf shrimp, scallops, lump crab meat, saffron cream sauce over homemade pasta). Top it off with a TIRAMISU and two spoons. Absolutely delicious! Very reasonable prices and large portions. Brought some home. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
The cutest Italian spot in an underrated town. Located in the midsts of the Stevensville Historic District, sits the Amalfi Coast. Like a siren call, the blues, yellows, and whites draw you in while the smell of wine seals the deal. To start we enjoyed the bruschetta, meatballs and polenta, and of course a glass of Pinot Grigio. The meatballs and polenta were a stand out appetizer as the meatballs were juicy and the polenta was the perfect amount of savory. Everyone's meal was a hit, the margarita pizza did not disappoint. The Pappardelle allo zafferano was divine and did not skimp on what appeared to be the biggest scallops I've ever seen. My love for seafood drew me to the Risotto pescatore which was delicious but not the best I've ever had. For dessert there was a seasonal white chocolate pistachio cheesecake which I did not picture due to how fast I ate it. The service was a bit mediocre, could have a bit more of a lively staff. There were also plenty of flies that joined us all for dinner which was not enjoyable. Overall a fine spot to enjoy some Italian fare with the Kent Island locals.

Yelp
We had a reservation for Saturday night. We were not seated for literally one hour. We were given multiple excuses for not being seated. The most disappointing thing is that the manager never came and introduced herself or apologize For the error on their part. Management needs to do better and train better. This is not a fast food restaurant!
google avatar

Yelp
What a terrific restaurant. I just can't say enough good things, from the Bartender to the wait staff, everyone was so kind and the service was exceptional. After a busy wedding weekend, it was the perfect place to have a great meal and a relaxing atmosphere. I wish we lived closer as this would become one of our go to restaurants.

John C.

Yelp
I hate to say how good it is, only make getting a table harder, but it's the best. Moving from annapolis to the Island Amalfi has become a regular

Yelp
This is one of those rate instances where I would honestly go 10 stars if this was allowed. Full disclosure, we were Rustico fans back when, and got off track with traveling over there, pandemic, etc. A clear spring day, and a new Jeep Wrangler and away we go. Amalfi Coast? Simply put, AMAZING and did NOT disappoint. Yes, Rustico was a hard act to follow, but Taylor and her crew have successfully navigated this, stamping their own brand with an incredible menu. And the portions? Oo la la. We went for lunch and begged for a place to take a nap. Lunch, for us, morphed into take home's for dinner. Presentation was outstanding, AND...they practice something every 5 Star restaurant does not always accomplish. Every element of the meal is paced PERFECTLY. We were not asked about dessert, but frankly the look on our faces told them the story, but dessert is the next trip. I may have even said, PLEASE, no dessert today, but a food coma makes one delirious. The decor is their own, and deservedly so. Elegant, without taking away from their desired cozy setting. We are not oenophiles, so I can't speak to the wines, but the listings I am sure would more than satisfy any palette. In short, do yourself a favor and go, Go, GO. Compare it to the legend of Rustico if you must. Yes they are missed, but Taylor and Company WILL have you coming back for more.

Yelp
Service is probably the biggest issue when people review restaurants and rightfully so because that can make or break a meal before your first bite. Our waiter told us it was his third day so we anticipated some rough edges. The waiter said he was a busboy for quite some time before getting the waiter position. I want to know who teaches your staff? At one point there were three waiters and three bus people and they were all in the kitchen having a good old time while the patrons in the dining room waited for water, wine to be poured, menus to removed from the table etc. The food was OK. No anchovies in the Caesar's salad dressing, dirty tasting shrimp, heavy hand with the sliced cheese in the salads. However in my estimation the biggest breakdown is the poor management. Not once did the chef or manager stop by to see how things were going, in fact after we paid our bill and the waiter disappeared into the kitchen we walked out and not a single person said thank you or see you again. The "manager" didn't even look up from her perch at the Matre' d stand and not a peep of thanks. I fault the owner for putting an inexperienced manager in charge of a number of teenagers and expect them to teach each other how to wait tables and take orders. The food is good enough for the restaurant to have been full on a Friday night but it appears that poor service will be the biggest problem they face.

Yelp
Parking stinks, but is quickly forgotten with the great food, pleasant service, and a nice neighborhood feel. We have tried a variety of items and have loved them all.

Yelp
Friends and I went here for a nice night on Kent island. I made reservations earlier in the week and recommend you do the same as it gets busy during the dinner hour and especially on the weekends. Parking was easy as they have a fairly large dirt lot behind the restaurant. We got to sit out front and people watch. Their menu is extensive and we ordered the limonchello martinis along with the burratta appetizer. We didn't have to wait long and the appetizer was yuuum! The basil and tomato was fresh, and the burratta was slightly milky. For dinner, I ordered the bison pappadelle. It came after about 15/20 minutes and smelled delicious. The taste did not disappoint. The bison was flavorful and tender. There was plenty of sauce and the pasta was perfectly al dente. We wrapped up dinner with some of their cake. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back next time I'm on Kent island.

Yelp
Great food and service - be aware they serve large portions for lunch. Taylor, the bartender, is excellent. She has a great sense of humor and very professional and efficient. Half price wine bottles on Monday & Wednesday. A nice, quiet gem in Stevensville, MD

Pam C.

Yelp
Delicious salmon salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing not to mention the homemade bread. Lovely ambiance outside and great service. We will be back!

Yelp
So delicious! This place is absolutely adorable! It's like you're at a little restaurant on the Amalfi coast, with its tasteful decor and music. Although he was working by himself, Our waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations. But I made his job easier since I'd picked everything I wanted the night before :-) With so many great authentic choices, how could you go wrong?! Everything we had was delicious and prepared with great details. My pasta was chewy, Al dente which is exactly how I like but the sauce was it for me. Sooooo mouthwatering delicious with the pancetta and bacon pieces adding smokiness. We ordered the following: Brussels Sprouts Carpaccio di Manz Amatriciana pasta Prosciutto e Melone Scallops with risotto There is some parking in the front but plenty in the back. There are cute tables outside the restaurant with heaters for chilly fall and winter days and nights. Plenty of seating inside from booths auto tasteful tables all decorated beautifully.

Yelp
Fantastic food and even better service. Great atmosphere and beautiful decor. Staff is very knowledgeable about what they are serving. Great wine selection. Little pricey but you are paying for great food. Trust me.

Tom S.

Yelp
Simply amazing food, service and cocktails. Staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Yelp
Delicious food and cocktails in a lovely atmosphere. Amalfi Coast is is my favorite restaurant on Kent Island. On my most recent visit with my husband I had the notorious F.IG. cocktail, the burrata, and the ravioli con astice, everything was delicious, and reasonably priced, good service , amazing fresh crusty bread with olive oil . Love this place, was shocked to see it not busy on a Saturday night, people should be lined up!.

William E.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere are amazing!!! Bread with EVOO was a perfect start and the pasta bolognese was amazing!!!

M D.

Yelp
This place is very good for spaghetti bolognese and other pasta dishes. The pizza is good, too. The ambience is nice and bright, and there's always a celebration of some sort when we go.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. This establishment is very quaint. I absolutely love their decor. And their food were all very tasty and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place for those who enjoys a good delicious Italian food.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was fair. We were the only table dining. My steak was grossly under cooked for a medium well. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and found our waitress to be kinda flighty. She dropped a lot of things. Would places things down very aggressive and loud. Everyone ate, and we all got dessert . Pumpkin cheesecake. It was delicious. Would likely skip it next time and stop somewhere else.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a wonderful date night at amalfi coast! From appetizer to dessert everything we had was delicious. We will be back for sure!
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
Definitely more than a Wine Bar! We stopped in here for lunch today (Saturday, Nov 5). Much to my surprise, the Menu had a myriad of lunch options. I was truly expecting a menu dominated by wine and few meal options. I had the Chicken (Pollo Salti) Panini it was awesome. Our lunch started with a delicious bread serving followed by our entrees. Yes, there was a certainly an abundance of wine to choose from. A nice selection of beer too. I opted for the Erath Pinot from Oregon as my wine choice. It was excellent. Alfi Coast is a must when you visit Kent Island!

Tammi C.

Yelp
I eat there often and live across the street. What an experience Downtown Stevensville is! Love the food and excellent wine menu. Can't wait for their outdoor Thursday night music starts again!
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
Everything about this place is perfection! All the food was amazing. We sat at the bar and she was very personable and made great suggestions. All the staff was super friendly. I can't wait to go try more dishes. I couldn't decide so we will be back soon. May go for lunch so I can get a bunch of smaller plates! Run don't walk to go here!
google avatar

Mary Jo R.

Yelp
Our entire experience was amazing at Amalfi Coast! We were on Kent Island for a Saturday wedding and wanted to have date night when we got into town Friday. Amalfi Coast was the perfect choice. We sat outside and our server Piper was lovely, friendly, and checked on us several times. We started out with a Blueberry Lemonade, which was refreshing and attractively made. We also ordered the Bruschetta--the plating was a bit sloppy but it tasted delicious so we didn't mind at all! For my main course, I ordered the Penne Caprese which was the perfect portion and I devoured it. My partner ordered the Pappardelle Allo Zafferano and was raving about it the whole time. The restaurant itself is cozy, both inside and outside. I can't wait to visit the next time we are in town!

Steven ..

Yelp
Homemade pasta. Proper Aperol spritz and great atmosphere. Well executed. Loved the shrimp app and saffron Pappardelle pasta.

Yelp
What can I tell you about this place? It's a cute cozy yet elegant Italian restaurant located in Stevensville, MD. From the moment our party of 10 walked in we felt welcomed. The staff was lively, super sweet, and new all dishes and even checked with the chef to see if they could accommodate one of our request. The wine special was excellent given our large group. Everything was exquisite. The chocolate souffle was to die for. I was visiting family in Maryland and it was my last day there. Having dinner at Amalfi Coast Italian & Wine Bar was a great way to end my vacation in Maryland. If you are in this area you won't regret having dinner here.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
This place is a solid place to grab dinner if you are in the mood for Italian. I have had a few items on the menu but my favorite is the fettuccine bolognese. They also have a great bar with great happy hour specials during the week.
google avatar

Krishna G.

Yelp
The food tasted good and fresh. Just wish they had the normal menu during the weekend lunch, the brunch menu felt light on options for vegetarians
google avatar

Angela R.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here on our way home from visiting Washington D.C. Growing up in an Italian family, I had been exposed to many different, delicious, Italian dishes. (Luckily!! ) the polenta and meatballs tasted just like Nonna's and the melon with prosciutto, balsamic and arugula was light, tasty and refreshing. My husband got the paccheri with bacon, onions, prosciutto, and red sauce. Absolutely delicious! The waitstaff was attentive and respectful. Absolutely recommend!!
google avatar

Victoria J.

Yelp
This restaurant never disappoints! I've eaten here for dinners and lunches, and every time I've come away happy. The food selection changes seasonally but the standards remain. The bread is delicious, and the portions are generous. The salads are unique and delicious. Their seafood stew is to die for!!! The pasta is house-made. They even have a wine bar! We've always had great service; the wait staff is helpful and friendly. Make a reservation and you'll see for yourself just how wonderful this hidden gem of deliciousness is, tucked away in beautiful historic Stevensville.
google avatar

Semone J.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! My husband and I went here for our 14th Wedding Anniversary...the food was delicious & James the bartender makes the best drink.... The service from the waitress was just OK. But will definitely return for the food
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. Perfection from start to finish. Cocktails were perfection- highly recommend trying their Limoncello and Basil Gimlet. The Notorious FIG was also unique and tasty, perfect if you like a bit sweeter. The pasta was a game changer. Get the saccheti, they are like little pockets of heaven. Perfect size to split between two as an app. Then the zafferno (saffron) pasta with scallops and shrimp was stellar also. The saffron cream sauce was perfect with the pappardelle. Scallops were cooked perfectly. I also tried a bite of the wild boar ragu, let's just say there are no wrong choices because everything was incredible. Service was also fantastic, our server Michael was thoughtful and prompt, and very helpful! The bartender here also makes an incredibly solid cocktail, we will definitely be going back for more! Trust me, go here, you will thank me for it.
