The location of this hotel is fantastic. It was so closely located to the centre of Amalfi, that it was easy and convenient to pop back whenever we wanted to escape or needed something. We were worried about “the noise” of the main square that the hotel overlooks but we are heavy sleepers and it didn’t bother us. Amalfi is a magical place and this hotel really added to that magic. The view from our room overlooking the square and cathedral was amazing. The concierge Saif was incredibly friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips. The other member of staff was also cheerful and energetic. Breakfast was standard but on the rooftop terrace which was a great start to the day. A downside of this hotel is that some aspects are a little dated, for example, some of the plug sockets didn’t work, the towels while clean and changed daily were rough and the AC took a while to get going. This being said, we loved this place for the location and the staff and would visit again.

Stayed at this hotel in May 2019. It is centrally located and room was reasonable. The breakfast is okay, nothing fancy but sufficient. The biggest plus is the rooftop dining area that is available for guests to use anytime, not just breakfast. I enjoyed picking up pizza and wine and enjoying in the dining area more than sitting in a restaurant. Of note, the bed is very firm so not great for side sleepers. The concierges were polite and kind and amenable to help whenever necessary. Of note, the WIFI was not good in the rooms or rooftop dining area. The only way that I could get WIFI was to sit in the reception area.

Great location, not very far from the ferry landing (but the entrance is a little bit difficult to find the first time). Room had a fantastic view on the Duomo but at the same time, that comes with some noise as the plazza is very busy until late. Staff was OK but not great. Room was very basic but totally fine. Nice breakfast on a terrace overlooking the Duomo.

The hotel is nice and clean. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast is adequate spread of pastries and fruit to start your day. If you're an easy going traveller who only needs a hotel to sleep, shower and have breakfast, this is a great place to go on a budget. The WiFi is terribly slow and difficult to connect to. The location is great but it is noisy because it is right in the town. Without air conditioning we needed to sleep with the windows and balcony door open. On the weekend the town is quite noisy until pretty late. Otherwise random dogs barking, or the cathedral bells early in the morning will surely wake you up, don't expect to sleep in comfortably. We were also woken up each day by noise from the breakfast area since we were on the same floor.

Eh, it's not a bad hotel. Good location, perfect views from the breakfast room, but I wasnt a huge fan of most of the staff. The guy that checked us in was really nice, though. Breakfast is really simple. The bathroom in our room smelled bad, not all lights worked, and there was a constant random humming noise every hour or so.

This hotel is located around the corner from the main square. It makes it a perfect base to explore everything. Amalfi is not a big town and therefore especially from here you can get to everything. The room is OK not a lot of insulation you can hear people walking around and talking outside your door. The breakfast is OK but you do have a great view. There is no elevator therefore it does require walking up steps to get to your room and actually to this hotel. We didn’t have a strong enough signal to make the WiFi work. Check out is 10am. Basic 3 star hotel with great location.

The hotel is situated in the middle of Amalfi - perfect location looking into the Duomo!! Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the hotel consisted of coffee/tea, fresh fruit, cereal and pastries; available on the rooftop terrace. There was quite a lot of noise as there was construction going on in one of the surrounding building so it was very loud early in the morning. Aside from this we had a nice stay in Hotel Centrale Amalfi.

Yelp
Great location and clean rooms. The manager was very friendly and helpful, English-speaking was a plus! The rooftop deck was a great place to people watch down on the main square below. Little tip: if you stay anywhere in Amalfi, and are a light sleeper, bring your earplugs. The church bells ring EVERY 15 minutes and they are very loud! Great town, though. I traveled solo and felt very safe there.
