Have been coming here for as long as it has existed…new owner and my gluten free $23.75 eggplant parm has an up charge of $2 for gluten free pasta and and up charge of $5 for vodka sauce. First time ever…new owner. So my $23.75 eggplant parm was surprisingly $30.75, no explanation from the waitstaff who has been there for a long time. Watch your charges and new owner, change the gluten free menu to reflect these up charges if this is your new policy. Really disappointing.

Their sliders-like chicken with mozzarella and sauce (must be a slider chicken parmesan) is delicious. The bread was crunchy. I wish though that the chicken became warm too and not just the bread. My husband’s plain pizza slice had generous cheese. Service was pleasant and prompt. Their restaurant is spacious with booth seating in addition to tables with nice, comfy-looking chairs. I hope to try their squash spaghetti and zucchini linguini. A week later, I tried their zucchini linguini. It is delicious, fresh, adequately portioned for those with a bigger appetite than me, and the grilled chicken is not meager. Added is a photo of my receipt for the zucchini. I leave it to prospective diners to decide about the pesto’s cost.

Love the Italian home cooked vibe. Pasta is Great! Pizza even better. Limited seafood options, but perfect Pizzeria choices, salads, soups, sandwiches. But for me, it's all about the pasta and pizza.

I love me some good penne ala Vodka but oh my tastebud this by far is one of the best I ever had and who Would thought breaded chicken is better than grilled chicken on this dish great price for this delicious dish please take my money and the service was amazing it was packed and busy but yet everything came out the way I wanted in a great time and my server Alex one of the best will be coming back here again ! Gino’s and Carlos got nothing on this place !

This friendly local restaurant was better than we dared hope. Anthony greets his guests with a smile and a handshake, then gets right back behind the counter, working alongside his staff. The food was delicious and the prices were in line with what you find elsewhere. Will surely return when we are back in town!

Amalfis port Washington. New owner. Amazing. Food is the best. Anthony is a gentleman! Wasn't crazy about Amalfis but since Anthony took over that has changed. Big time!

Ordered the chicken parmigiana platter for takeout; and upon opening the container I was blown away. As you can see in the picture the platter looks like melty mozzarella with sauce and cutlets- yum. Unfortunately there was just too much sauce..and not enough cheese. It would have been nice if cheese was layered throughout. The cutlets were good but drenched in sauce which takes away from the crispness of the cutlet. Overall the food was good, I just was expecting something a little different!

Under the new owner/manager who started this summer, the food has become sooo delicious including daily specials like the arugula, fig and proscuitto slice i had the other day. The amazing staff is still there, don't worry! Highly recommend the eggplant parm slice, my personal fave... Great food at a great price :)

Love this place! The new owner is a passionate guy who knows what he is doing! Delicious food. Warm, welcoming people - now part of our weekly go-tos. We will be back again and again!!

Worst customer service ever for crappy food. The man behind the counter is too lazy to look up an order by name or the very specific details of what was ordered and would rather you wait 15 minutes trying to pull up the receipt, meanwhile the nice young woman at the computer found it in an instant and pulled him aside to show him. Then he forgets to give me what turns out to be a very soggy mini pie and I have to ask him to get it.

We love this place. Best old world Italian. Best veal parm. My grandsons love the meatballs

If you want to pay Manhattan prices for food that is slightly better than 'just ok'...this is the place for you. Oh and...watch out for that 'convenience fee'

16.95 for frozen cold calamari..... The mozzarella sticks were hard as nails.....The pizza is like chewing on a cardboard box!! The dough is actually bread dough, and they are cheap on the yeast!!! NO CREDIT TIPS ONLY CASH!!!!! so if you have no cash on you, you can leave and screw the server!!!!an ATM is next door, so I went there to get cash, and we met a woman who said her chicken Parma was microwaved, and she thought the prices were ridiculous!!, as did I...MY RATING IS THIS........Calamari-6..... Mozz sticks-5.... One large pie-5.5...drinks which are already bottled-9.... Service-7, the waiter should have been more aware of us....Bus Girl-9... cute and very good service... OVERALL- I WOULD NEVER GO BACK AND THE PLACE GETS A 6.5, AS A PLACE YOU SHOULD NEVER VISIT

The smallest regular slice I've ever had and the most expensive slice I've ever had. There are better choices in the Port Washington area.

Delicious family owned pizza place in the corner of a strip mall. Whether you come to grab a quick slice and a rice ball, or your sitting down with close friends to enjoy some good old Italian food, this place has it all. Never disappointed!!

There's many pizza spots around town and they all are great. Each has its highlights which is how I pick where to go...when I'm looking for a really good panini or salad, it's Amalfi. The ponte vecchio salad is awesome with cheese, avocado, etc. Only warning is if you get a chicken Caesar salad ask for the dressing on the side. I love their dressing, sometimes they just put tooo much. It's all delicious though!

Jeez, Long Islanders don't even know a good thing when they've got it! Long Island pizza beats Manhattan pizza, and I came back to Amalfi after four years to confirm it. It's true! A more flavorful dough, more cheese of better quality, and brighter sauce make this slice better than your average NY slice, and a damn near perfect slice regardless. My daughter highly approved of the slice with garlic knots for a crust (It was cute! And delicious!). Can't speak for the rest of the food here, but this is good pizza.

A very pleasant, accommodating, and comfortable Italian fare Pizzeria. We stop by for a quick slice of Pizza and noticed the unique selections but chose Sicilian and grandma pizza which were both good.

Fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Decent to delicious menu. Fairly priced items. Spacious seating. Quick service. 1-star less because it's not "OMG! Amalfi's!"

This restaurant is one of our favorites in Port Washington. It is a modest place, with moderate prices, but the food is very good. The service is excellent - the staff are all friendly and helpful. The owner is hands-on, and works hard alongside his staff, which is probably why they are so good. Among our favorites are the Amalfi panini, the eggplant ricotta rolls and the escarole bean soup. The chicken soup is just like mother used to make. The salads all fresh and tasty. Actually, we've never had anything bad here.

Horrible atmosphere, horrible service, mediocre food. Got me a buffalo chicken roll and a chicken bacon ranch slice for lunch after work today, chicken inside the rolled pizza doh was cold at first bite. Chicken bacon ranch slice was too heavy. The people there are rude and don't know what they're doing. Bread basket they give before meal is tasteless and has no flavor. I definitely would not recommend this pizza parlor restaurant for any of my family friends or acquaintances. Worst pizza shop in town besides Carlos.

We had ordered a sicilian pie from this establishment yesterday and was completely disappointed. We waited 30 minutes for a fresh pie and took the pizza home only to discover that we were given the sicilian pie that had been sitting on their display for who knows how long. The crust of the pizza was completely dry and the bottom of the pizza was rubbery which shouldnt have been an issue if this pizza had been fresh. Putting the amalfi special toppings on top doesnt make it a new pizza. Trying to pass off old pizza as fresh is very low and we wont be coming back again.

Good food and can go inside and dine in. The space is a bit small so I don't tend to dine in. I usually pick up the food to go. The service is okay but could be friendlier. Overall, great choices of food and their pastas are

Excellent Place To Eat...PERIOD!!! Great Food, Price is Right, Staff Respectful & Attentive!

We placed an order with "door dash" for a personal pizza and a chicken parm dinner with a side of pasta. The food took around an hour to arrive. They sent a side salad instead of be side of pasta. When I check the recipe that they sent it said a salad. So I called the store to let them know there was an issue with the system. The "owner" answered the phone but never said his name just that he was the owner. And started arguing with me over the phone. That we messed up the order not them. And I explained that we used door dash and our order was correct on there he told me they don't do business with anyone. Over all extremely disappointing service the food was bland and very rude on the phone. Will not be going back again

I come here often after working late to pick up dinner. My go-to dishes are eggplant parmesan, angel hair with bolognese sauce and rigatoni pesto (add grilled chicken). Their pesto is one of the best I've ever had (very creamy though) but their eggplant parm and bolognese are hit or miss. I've had them VERY fresh and also a bit undercooked. Overall, I enjoy my meal from here and always have leftovers.

Had my birthday dinner here last night with 8 of us. We had fried calamari, baked clams, veal Marsala, shrimp Parm, veal capriciosa, chicken francese, all delicious. Tiramisu also a hit! The wait staff always aims to please! Also escarole and bean soup my favorite. It's not in our neighborhood but worth the ride!!

One of several pizza places in Port....definitely not Port's best. Things it has going for it: - decent atmosphere - plenty of parking, if shopping center isn't crowded - seems clean - wait staff is friendly Things it has going against it: - food is only average - can get crowded on weekends - you must tip in cash. If you tip on your credit card the waitstaff does not get the tip....they do have a small sign stating that but if you go there a sit down and order you wouldn't know. Will not be going here again. Don't want to go in depth with this place since I learned what they do with the waitstaff's tips. There are too many choices in Port to settle for this place.

Amalfi reminds me of your standard pizzeria that serves Italian fare commonly found all over Long Island. Pizza here is pretty good and price is reasonable. Pasta dishes were also OK with the pesto actually being quite tasty. Bolognese sauce was a bit overcooked to the point hat the meat was dry. Service was decent and courteous. Decent meal for a decent price.

This place had me worried in the beginning. After the workers had given our party plates and utensils I said "grazie". The worker corrected me and said it's "gracias". I thought, "oh no. it's a Italian restaurant but they are Spanish!" When we got our food, all was well. They were delicious and the portions were big. I would definitely return if I am in the area again.

My favorite Italian food in Port Washington Area. Friendly Staff, Huge restaurant with over 40 tables available. From Pizzas, to Pastas, Salads, Soups, Sandwich. This place has a Huge menu. My Favorite is their Fried Calamari (Fresh and not chewy). My Entree varies every time I come here (Since I want to try everything). Their Linguine with Clam on White sauce is my top spot. Sometimes I order the Chicken roll which is pretty Big and delicious. But nothing have failed me, Everything what I order here is pretty solid. I always Skip Desserts because i get so full (portions are pretty big). Staff is very prompt and friendly. Food comes pretty quick

High-class pizza place. The restaurant is a pretty cute place. Good for casual family dinners. The pasta dishes are wonderful. A bit too oily so I like to ask to use as little oil as possible. My favorites are the ravioli, baked ziti, and lasagna. Salads are amazinggggggg! It's odd how some of the best salads I've ever had are from Amalfi. Also their bread is warm gooey amazingness.

Ventured into Amalfi after seeing its high rating and positive reviews on yelp. I must say, we were a bit surprised after our experience there. While it is a neighborhood joint and a pizza place at that, amalfi is presented as a restaurant. I found the service to be mediocre, lacked knowledge of the menu and was inattentive. Chef's salad was unimpressive and perhaps a bit skimpy. We ordered two pasta dishes as well, sadly both were a bit overdone. Pesto was also a big disappointment, i didn't inquire but it seemed canned/bottled and was lacking in taste. Would potentially give another try but would much sooner suggest Ginos or Peppe Rosso on manorhaven blvd for a similar restaurant experience.

I love the Mac N cheese pizza and most of their pizzeria items. The guys making the pizzas are friendly. The reason why I'm giving only one star is because I found out they tried to charge an extra $110 on my card in addition to my actual bill, which of course I will be canceling with my credit card company. As much as I enjoy the food, if you're going to steal my money, I can't respect you anymore. *EDIT* Turns out the reason why they charged an extra $110 was because they used my card for someone else's order. THIS IS VERY SHADY because I used my card during lunch, and they charged the $110 in the evening for dinner orders. Why in the world did they have my credit card information saved?! DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD AT THIS LOCATION.

Not only is the food amazing, but they have the nicest friendliest staff! They have a full gluten free menu to be able to choose anything you are craving from an Italian pizzeria! Thank you to the entire Amalfi staff, you guys ROCK!

This is my favorite pizzeria in Port Washington. The staff is wonderful, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. I have never had a bad experience here. Many different slices and Italian dishes. You can't go wrong with anything you choose. Be careful about going midday though, the place turns into a nursery with all the children running around. My mom loves this place and my GF does too, what other women in the world do you need to keep happy?? The really exceptional thing about this place is even if you come in for a quick slice. Servers will attend to you. It's not needed, but it's great. It makes you feel extra special. If you want a flavorful meal, this is the place to go!

the food took way too long i ordered my food at 6:30 for pick up i got at 7 to pick it up the it took an extra 30 min on top of the order mean while the restaurant was completely empty absolutely ridiculous

First off, I just want to say, I really do love the food here. It is delicious and out of this world. Prices are fair. However, the last few times I have been in here, the service has been TERRIBLE. I have been coming to this restaurant for YEARS, and only in the last couple of years the service has been crappy. I don't know what happened. I do order gluten free food from here 'cause it's good, and they always give the excuse that the food "takes awhile" (aka I'm waiting almost an hour for my food.) I make my own gluten free food at home sometimes, but it DOES NOT take that long. My friend and I went the other night and we felt ignored. It was not even that busy in the restaurant. My friend was never brought bread (even though I said I can't have it, it would've been nice if she could have some), we weren't offered refills, and not once did they check on us during the almost HOUR that we were waiting for our food. The larger party next to us with a lot of small children got their food before us. It is not fair to be treated this way. I will not be coming in to eat here anymore. If anything, I'll order for delivery or takeout, cause I do like the food.

I never write reviews but the blatant disregard for a customer who was waiting for 27 minutes for soup warrants commentary. I was told it would take 10 minutes and their sign says 6 - 7 minutes. I asked them to check on my order after 15 minutes and was assured it would be ready in one minute. After another 10 minutes of the staff helping other possible regulars, I ask AGAIN. One lady tells the head guy. At this point I'm beyond frustrated. There was no urgency to help me, they seemed to have more focus on new customers coming in. The worst part of it was that there was no "I'm sorry you had to wait so long," nope, nothing. I have been here several times but I will NEVER go again and I will share my experience here and in other forums. Horrible customer service, one of the worse take out experiences I've ever had.

Prepare for a severe stomach ache after eating this food. Gave this place so many chances but an upset stomach is a guarantee! Many many people have agreed and have experienced similar issues. Definitely a bacteria in that kitchen.

Yum! The staff is pretty friendly, and the place is always bubbling with people. I forget exactly what I've had there in addition to the pizza/rolls, etc. But I remember a black spagetti, with spicy red sauce with squid - it was deliciousss. Totally a fan, for sit down or take out.

I remember coming here when it was La Stella... Post-renovations, this place is beautiful.. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is top-notch. Most times you walk-in, the place is crowded, which definitely proves the pizza is one of the best in town, along with their pasta dishes. On any given day, the variety of pizza slices is so tempting, that while an order heats up, i tend to add to that order just out of temptation, lol. The regular pizza is above average, but their buffalo chicken slices, along with the salad slice (w/ balsalmic vinegar topping) is amazing.!

Amalfi's is a wonderful family-friendly restaurant. Its environment is so homey and welcoming. The selection of food is vast, with a lot of gluten-free options for celiacs or people with gluten intolerance. My family never fails to have a good time there, and it is always the first pick for a group outing. I completely recommend this restaurant to anyone searching for good Italian food.

Came here to grab lunch with my boyfriend while visiting his family for Christmas. I was looking forward to a delicious & authentic Italian meal, since the Italian fare where I live in Seattle is more than lacking. I wasn't all that impressed with Amalfi, to be honest. We split the penne vodka, which I was really looking forward to, but the dish we got was subpar - watery sauce being my main complaint. I also had a slice of the Margarita pizza which was good but nothing to write home about. This place is reasonably priced, but I'd stick to grabbing pizza from them rather than trying a pasta dish.

We got in at 705, it took until 755 for our food to arrive. Mothers salad was trash, pens a la vodka was disgusting, fathers food was bland. I warned them prior to going here that it was terrible. I hated to say it, but I told them so. Never again.
