It’s a very cozy shop. As soon as you step inside, you’ll see freshly baked pastries lined up, with plenty of choices at very reasonable prices. You can even see the staff preparing and baking pastries in the back. They also have limited-edition freshly baked bread. I tried it, and it was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and wonderfully moist in texture. Upstairs, there’s a seating area where you can enjoy your food. You place your order and pay downstairs, then take the receipt to the coffee counter to wait for your drink. They also offer freshly baked bread, hot and fragrant straight from the oven, which goes perfectly with a cup of coffee.

Not sure why this place has a low star rating, when we went there happened to be no wait time. There were so many options for sweet and savoury pastries and breads, we picked out 3 to share with some drinks and everything was amazing. There is a moody seating area up the top that has a view of the open kitchen too.

Stayed at a hotel near this bakery… went there and no line up and got all we wanted and they are LL delicious. Love the softness of the bread! Love the brioche. Love the four cheeses & honey sandwich. Custard donut was awesome

Came on a Thursday afternoon, rather short queue before being allowed to enter. Had limited options for the baked goods, like 4 options. we pick 3 of them. All was excellently baked/cooked and put together. My favourite was the banana financier; warm, moist and gently sweet; with a crispy crust.

Been waiting to try here, as I missed it in Tokyo .. The place looks nice, friendly staff, the display is big and it looks the part. The stone work benches and display areas are impressive along with the decor. Good interior design. I can see the appeal. But, and it's a big but, the food was average. We tried numerous items. Fruit and nut bread, cannele, buns, banana and chocolate/blueberry/pistachio and others. All average flavour and some were burnt. The Cannele was dry hard and burnt. The banana, nut and cream bun was the pick of the bunch. The blueberry bun was also ok, with an interesting flavour. I went upstairs and had an iced chai. After I removed the ice, I had about 120ml of chai. Not happy on a 37c day. I wanted it to be so good, but it was a let down unfortunately, as the items we got, 5 in total, each rated about a 5 out of 10. I looked at it with an open mind, not entering saying, "this is going to be the best meal of my life". That was last week in Tokyo (french ramen), ask me later about that Sometimes the "Instagram" fame is a fickle beast and each to their own. Afterwards, we ventured down to Mash bakery around the corner. Each item rated upwards of 8 out of 10. Smaller selection, but better quality and more refined. No seating there unfortunately.

Stumbled upon this spot while exploring the neighborhood this morning. The aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air and a queue had already formed — I couldn’t resist joining in! Ate a sausage sandwich and it’s perfect. 👍

Been there because I was craving for doughnuts and they didn’t disappoint me at all! Pastries were absolutely delicious and artistic Would definitely recommend to dine in as the seating area is very well decorated (but have to order at least one drink even though you already ordered doughnuts)

It's a shame we found this place on our last day in Kyoto, such a great bakery where the chefs are constantly baking fresh items. We couldn't pick one, so we had 5 items amongst the 2 of us. Loved that we can get them warmed up for dine in upstairs as if straight out of the oven. We were lucky to arrive before 10am as we realised they only accept reservations after 10am and were booked out. Customers come in non-stop, so if you don't have a booking, better to get in early.
