Been waiting to try here, as I missed it in Tokyo ..
The place looks nice, friendly staff, the display is big and it looks the part. The stone work benches and display areas are impressive along with the decor. Good interior design. I can see the appeal.
But, and it's a big but, the food was average.
We tried numerous items. Fruit and nut bread, cannele, buns, banana and chocolate/blueberry/pistachio and others. All average flavour and some were burnt. The Cannele was dry hard and burnt.
The banana, nut and cream bun was the pick of the bunch. The blueberry bun was also ok, with an interesting flavour.
I went upstairs and had an iced chai. After I removed the ice, I had about 120ml of chai. Not happy on a 37c day.
I wanted it to be so good, but it was a let down unfortunately, as the items we got, 5 in total, each rated about a 5 out of 10.
I looked at it with an open mind, not entering saying, "this is going to be the best meal of my life". That was last week in Tokyo (french ramen), ask me later about that
Sometimes the "Instagram" fame is a fickle beast and each to their own.
Afterwards, we ventured down to Mash bakery around the corner. Each item rated upwards of 8 out of 10. Smaller selection, but better quality and more refined. No seating there unfortunately.
