We stayed here for three nights in a Borobudur Suite. The Amanjiwo did not disappoint. The suite was huge and beautifully decorated. The views from the private walled garden were spectacular, watching the sunrise over the valley below with coffee in hand every morning was tranquility defined.||The service as one expects from an Aman was personalized and spot on. From the private airport transfers, to the welcome from the hotel manager, to the dinning staff. The Amanjiwo exceeded expectations. ||The architecture of the hotel is stunning, the design of the lobby/restaurant that aligns perfectly with the Borobudur temple in the distance is magical. ||We booked the hotels cultural trails package, which included three private activities, we opted for a tour of the Borobudur Temple, which I highly recommend, our guide was a true expert and we had the upper portion of the temple to ourselves for about ten minutes. A photographers dream. In addition we booked a morning visit to the market in Borobudur, and a tour of the temples in Kedu Valley, both of which were excellent. ||Each afternoon we relaxed and had lunch by the pool. The pool is gorgeous and the service again was excellent. ||The food was another highlight, the options were varied and several highlighted the local Javanese culture. All the meals he had were fantastic. Each night we sat outside among flickering candles, the soft sound of live Javanese music playing in the lobby, with a view of the Borobudur temple lit in the distance. Could not get any better!||The peace, beauty and service at the Amanjiwo was beyond words. Can not recommend it enough.
