Amanohashidate, often referred to as the “bridge in heaven,” is a pine-covered sandbar 🌸.
This is a fascinating place where you can witness a natural sandbar that has formed over thousands of years. When viewed upside down, it resembles a green dragon soaring through the sky. To experience this unique perspective, stand wide-legged on the brownish platform and bend over to see the sandbar through your legs. It’s truly a fun adventure, although I’d advise caution for elderly visitors.
Additionally, near the metal ring, you can purchase clay chips for 200 Yen (3 chips) and make a wish. If you manage to throw the clay chip through the ring, your wish is believed to be granted.
For a complete experience, I recommend taking the cable car up and the lift chair down from the observation deck. This way, you’ll enjoy different views of this remarkable natural wonder. 🌟
