Amanzi African Restaurant Falmouth

Went to lunch with a friend, played safe with the calamari starter and then full rack of ribs (lovely sauce) with coleslaw and chips. My friend had the Trinchado Bunny-Chow, which was nice and spicy, but lacked something. I prefer chips without salt, but most restaurants add it. I will remember in future to specify no salt. Atmosphere ok, relatively busy considering we ate at 14:00. Worth a visit.

Wow wow wow! Not sure where to even start with Amanzis but out of all of the restaurants I’ve ever been to Amanzi is THE BEST RESTAURANT I’ve ever experienced and that’s not an exaggeration. I was a student in the area and it was my go to spot for everything. Dates, my graduation meal, celebrations with friends. I even made sure to visit the restaurant on my very last day before I left Falmouth. The Espatada is well seasoned, juicy, delicious and comes with generous serving of garlic butter that enhances the flavours of the skewered meat and veg. Then the chips that come with them are crispy and fluffy. The burgers and cocktails were great too. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere and really nice view if you sit outside. But if you decide to sit inside the decor has an impressive swagger about it. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area or just live near by. Thank you so much to Amanzi and the staff for the great service and food each time I came by. Only problem was that I discovered it 5 months before I left Falmouth. Would give more stars if I could. 5/5!!

Lovely South African restaurant in Falmouth located along the high street just past the Harbour. Recommend that you book the night before as all the tables were fully booked on trying for a table previously. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The decor was obviously South African theme. The food however was awesome. Having a partner who is South African and coming to these places with amazing Food especially the Meat. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommended 👌

So... First time in Amanzi... WOW..!! I'm confident to say that was the best meal we have had out for years. The service was excellent, atmosphere great and food was outstanding. This is a little bit of SA in Cornwall. Lovely evening, great wine.... Can't say enough about Amanzi.. 5⭐

Enjoyed a excellent meal this afternoon, lovely staff, nothing too much trouble, explained the dishes to us. I had the sea food platter. This was a exceptional dish a absolute delight, the calamari was best i can remember, and the lemon sole cooked to perfection. Sharon had the steak and bob had the bobotie, which they both really enjoyed. Definitely a memorable meal for us , so thankyou very much

Absolutely fantastic. Best ribs I've had in ages. Food to remind me home and a fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very friendly as well. We'll worth the hour and a half drive.

Absolutely stunning lunch. The restaurant is brilliantly decorated, such a cosy and inviting atmosphere and the staff are lovely. The food is out of this world, beautifully seasoned and well cooked. The Espetada is as a show stopper. The most delicious steak beautifully bbq’d served atop chips and smothered in garlic butter. Flawless.

Frankly, I am not sure where to begin...I'd never had thought nor hoped to find such a wonderful place to dine in Falmouth, England. Wow! I tend to "travel on my stomach" as the saying goes. And this amazing restaurant did NOT disappoint. The food-- well, it was absolutely divine! The flavors, the preparation, the taste -- all were above par and mouth watering. We walked away satisfied in every way-- from the obvious culinary (food) to the attentive and friendly staff with great attention to every detail and every need of their customers. The decor and atmosphere were as authentic as I've ever enjoyed. Truly, if you want great and superb tasting food-- this is the place. If you want gourmet food, presentation coupled with fantastic service and friendly staff-- this is the place. If you want a new and different experience, unless you are familiar with with South African food-- this IS THE PLACE! Thank you, thank you, thank you! My only regret is that, as this was a port stop on a cruise, I may never get back. But, I will NEVER FORGET THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

The best restaurant in town. I would recommend without reservation. The food is nothing short of stupendous. The service and ambiance is superb and everything is just in tune.

Just came back from a great dinner with 3 generation of our family at Amanzi, friendly staff, good produce cooked well in a relaxed atmosphere. Had some biltong boxed to take home with us :)

What can I say about Clarks... Well my husband and I love the place & can honestly say it is one of our top 2 favourite restaurants in Falmouth and as locals we have tried a lot. It was excellent food; beautifully presented and sooo tasty. The quality was 2nd to none and the staff are so pleasant and attentive. You really feel comfortable and there is never that feeling of being rushed. Looking forward to the next time. :-D Ellie & Chris

This restaurant has a pleasant intimate atmosphere, great for couples but we also had a great girl's night out there. The menu was the usual modern British and the food was well cooked and good portions. The staff were friendly and attentive but we had to ask for missing items on three separate occasions but I can forgive that as we were the last customers and they never hassled us to leave.

my wife and have just returned from a wet 5 day break in falmouth and our best memories of this break are having three delicious meals in clarks restaurant. The fish dishes that we ate were delicious and the chefs cheese platter was just sublime. The friendly service and the ambiance cannot be beaten in Falmouth Carolyn Ian and their staff are a credit to the catering industry and i only wish that they were just down the road from us in Colchester. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food bets wishes to you Carolyn and ian from Tony and Naomi Bennett

Hubby & I had Sunday roast there yesterday and everything was lovely. Food & service were excellent. Will definitely go again and recommend it to others.

What a fantastic place to eat. I cannot reccommend this restaurant highly enough. The owners and staff are very welcoming and as for the food! The new owners have done a wonderful job since taking over Clark's. The food is locally sourced and menus seem to be changed regularly . I have been several times now and always been impressed ,my best time was my birthday party, what a spread. Thank you so much and I wish you all the best for the future.

We took a friend from South Africa who was over to stay with us.. we thought the restaurant was too expensive for what we recieved..We wont be going back
