Where to Stay in Bangkok (Updated 2025)

"I’d recommend upgrading if possible: Club Cabana Rooms have access to two private jacuzzis directly from the room, but even standard rooms are spacious with luxury bedding and rainfall showers; the rooftop infinity pool offers a stunning city view and the AkaAza sky bar is great in the evenings." - Matthew Kepnes

Amara Hotel offers one of the best services we've experienced. As soon as we arrived via Grab, the staff immediately assisted us with our luggage and brought it to the concierge, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The lobby has a pleasant ambiance with complimentary infused water and juice, and even a clean, well-maintained restroom.Although we had to wait a bit to check in at 3 PM, we were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded our room from a deluxe to one with a private jacuzzi—complete with a great view and relaxing vibes. The rooftop pool also offers a beautiful view, though the drinks are a bit pricey. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, and our room featured a high-tech toilet with a heated seat and automatic bidet.During checkout, the concierge service was excellent, allowing us to safely store our luggage. Overall, a great stay with impressive hospitality

Fantastic Hotel with Amazing Staff – Highly Recommended! Warmest Welcome Ever!||I stayed at Amara Bangkok with my two children – first for 3 nights (July 2025) before heading to Koh Samui, and then again for 2 nights (August 2025) before flying home, because we felt so incredibly comfortable and well cared for here.||As a mom traveling alone with kids, I’ve honestly never experienced such a warm and heartfelt welcome in a hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and truly went out of their way to make us feel safe and at home. A very special thank you to Raggae, Tong, Toey, Amosin and all the others whose name I don't know – wonderful team members who made our stay absolutely unforgettable.||The rooms are spotless, the beds super comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is excellent – with plenty of choice for both adults and kids. The rooftop bar with the infinity pool is a real highlight. And the best part: there’s no pressure to order anything. You can just sit by the pool in the evening and enjoy the breathtaking night view over Bangkok.||Without a doubt, the hotel itself is top quality in terms of comfort and facilities – but what truly sets it apart is the amazing staff. They make you feel genuinely welcome and valued, which makes all the difference.||We will definitely be back. Amara Bangkok is a fantastic hotel with amazing people. Highly recommended!

Our recent stay was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and professional welcome from the front desk staff. Check-in was seamless, Sandy was especially nice andefficient during our stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with a modern yet comfortable design. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. We particularly enjoyed the stunning city views from our windows. The rooms were also spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. The hotel's amenities are top-notch. We took full advantage of the rooftop pool, which offers breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The gym is small but well-equipped and clean, and the on-site restaurant served a delicious breakfast.

The Amara falls very short of a 5 star hotel. The woman checking us in didn’t smile or say “hello”, just simply asked us for our passports and advised that the room wasn’t ready. The room itself was standard, small, rushed finishes, bed was comfortable but no complementary water as expected in most hotels. The pool area is claustrophobic, water is cloudy, and only has one lift going up/down- this can sometimes be a 10 minute wait! The prices of food and beverages within the hotel matches the prices of expensive bars in Australia. Only three lifts exist for the 200+ rooms. One wasn’t working, another continuously kept stalling and sounded like it needed more oil? and the last one was doing all the work. Super surprised that this continued like this for the 4 days we were there. I have been travelling Asia for the last month, across 4 countries, and this was a huge let down given that 4 star hotels are doing it better. I will say, the cleaning staff were really lovely and seemed like they were short staffed and under the pump… we got our room cleaned around 1600 each day. I would stay elsewhere, somewhere with a better location too.

Would just like to thank Reggae, Don and Wind for their amazing service at the Amara hotel. We felt very welcomed and extremely happy with our stay. We were after a room with 2 single beds however when we got to the room Reggae upgraded us to the 24th floor as the room only had 1 bed. He was extremely helpful. One of the best hotels I have stayed in and would highly recommend! All staff were very friendly and accommodating! 5 stars all around!!

Loved the Amara. We had the hot tub suite area which was great for early morning or evenings soaks. It also inc the club lounge which had fantastic service (thanks Noon!), succulent tasty bites, and literally free drinks of premium liquor. Location was great, food everywhere and almost all attractions within 15 minutes tut tut ride. Breakfast was also included and had everything you want Would recommend, overall great experience

We stayed at Amara for 5 nights. I have to say, the beds were indeed comfortable. The elevators were very slow, which was frustrating, and one was out of use during our whole stay. Breakfast was overall pleasant, but lacked variety especially hot food was limited, vegetarian options were few, and there were no halal choices. Hotel was about a 20 min walk to the main shopping centres. And close to the bustling silom station and shops. Cleaning wasn’t always consistent in restocking essentials. The towels were kind of worn and stained. Overall, it could use some improvements.

My stay at Amara Bangkok about 3 weeks ago was delightful and comfortable. The staff are friendly including the housekeepers. The room is modern and showers are great. I particularly enjoyed the daily warm welcome and smiles from the staff at breakfast who remember my preference to sit at the corner of the restaurant. My apologies for not remembering your names and I thank you for paying attention to a solo traveler like me.
