Best shopping experience in years. Sarah was so helpful, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. Rarely do I receive the kind of honest service that makes me feel like a valued customer instead of just another sale. Sarah went above and beyond to help me with shoes and I couldn’t be happier. Shipping was fast and my boots were well packaged. I highly recommend Amaree’s and Sarah.

My friend is visiting me from Seattle. I took her to this store which is on her wishlist. We were expecting a perfect shopping experience but it was absolutely NOT! The dyed blonde hair staff open the gate without greeting but only saying “no photo in the store!!!” with really bad attitude. Excuse me ??? Of course we respect all the store policies, but first thing for a customer should be warmly greeting, isn’t it? This lady totally ruin the all the other staff’s effort

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a store. I rang the doorbell and had to wait far too long before someone came to let me in. Once inside, a blonde staff member made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was carrying an Alo tote bag, and she immediately told me I needed to leave my bag at the front due to “store policy.” When I asked for clarification, she simply repeated that it was policy — but there was no designated shelf or secure area, just the front register. What made this even more upsetting was that I saw another white woman inside the store carrying a large bag without issue. It felt clear to me that I was being singled out and unfairly treated. I walked in just trying to shop and left feeling racially profiled. This is not okay — and absolutely unacceptable behavior from any business.

If I could do zero stars I would. Worst customer service. Zero communication. They had a hat I purchased for almost $1,500. No tracking number sent so I reached out. I recived an email stating “Good morning Meghan, We are currently out of this hat, we did just get a new shipment of hats in by the same designer, if you would like to take a look at those when you are in store. We will be refunding your payment. Please let me know if you have any questions.” I did have questions. I emailed twice with no reply. Instead they just sent me a notification that I will be receiving money back IN UP TO TEN DAYS! No hat. No communication. No money. They just restocked hats from the same maker. In one of the two emails I asked if they can arrange for the specific hat I’d like to purchase. Pretty simple. I also own a retail store so I know this is possible. No customer service.

If you want to be treated like a queen, shop at A’maree’s. The clothing is a unique, high end, fashion driven statement, and the people who work there are fun! It’s a beautiful boutique with a waterfront view. I was sipping delicious refreshments while the staff helped me put different looks together. I finished my drink while watching the sunset over the ocean. You can tell the people who work there love what they do. Super fun experience! Tip: Plan enough time to spend a few hours there, and bring a few friends. There’s a beautiful seating area outside when you need breaks.

It started with me googling a pair of shoes that I've been wanting for a long time. This particular website came up and I've never heard of this company so I was intrigued to see that they carry the brand that I like and is currently going through semi-annual sale. I called them up immediately to see if it's still available and they said it is because sometimes the website isn't always up-to-date. I told them that I should be down there within the week and they said they're gonna put the shoes aside for me. On the day of, I started driving my way down, gave them a call just to make sure they still have that shoes, I forgot they already put it aside for me. When I arrived, the parking lot was big and I didn't know if I was at the right place or not; I couldn't find the front door even though it is right in front of me. There is a small inconspicuous doorbell to your right that you're supposed to ring for someone to come and get you. As soon as I walk in there, I felt like I just walked into a museum. The atmosphere is so inviting and open with a view of the pier and the boats in the dock. The sun was shining and there were fluffy white clouds outside, it was such an amazing view. They brought out my pair of shoes that is nicely wrapped in the box; newer than new. Brought me over to the couch and had me try it on. I love the personalized service and the VIP treatment. Yes, this is a luxury store with absolute high prices and of course name brands with good quality. But you can't beat their sales! My new pair of Manolo Blahnik is so affordable, feels like it's a once in a lifetime deal. Absolutely would come back again, I am hooked!!!

I am so dissapointed with their customer service over the phone. They have a policy for no return, no refund with any condition. I just wanted to make sure if the bag is in good conditon. First customer service lady who picked up the phone was not friendly at all, not helpful, put me on hold, and hangs up on me. I tried to call them again. The second customer service lady was a bit better. But she ended up hanging up on me while I am asking her name. I decided not to purchase the bag from them. My daughter was next to me listening the whole convresation. She says, " Their unfriendly service speaks what kind of store this is. It's not worth buying anything from them". I cannot agree more.

Great selection of luxury brands, good prices/ discounts. But the worst customer service I've ever experienced in a luxury store. I still made the purchase though the sales associate was rude and unhelpful. Such a beautiful store such a shame.

This came up on my radar when Farfetch used to share the details of where items you were buying came from. A'maree's carried a lot of Kristensen du Nord, which makes beautiful basic staples in tees, tanks, and casual dresses and I wanted to visit their physical boutique to see what they carried. They're located near the water and have ample parking available if you're going in on a regular day to shop. Stunning view that looks out over the harbor, especially on a sunny, clear day. When I went, the staff were preoccupied with a woman spending tons of money on a pricey fur coat, along with other things. One girl told me that they'd be with me in a bit. I ended up wandering around, admiring the racks of various premium designers they carry. No one waited on me, save for someone who opened a dressing room for me, but that was fine - it allowed me to browse without feeling pressure. They offer brands like Lanvin, Rick Owens, Junya Watanabe, and Dior - very expensive, but beautifully made clothes. I happened to come when they had their sale, which meant they had several racks in the far right section of the store with prices marked down on items. I walked away that day with a deeply discounted Kristensen du Nord top in navy, two pairs of socks from Comme des Garcons, and a journal from Shinola. You can sign up for their e-mail and mailing list at the front desk to receive updates and notices about their sales. I haven't been back in a long time, but I would visit again for the sales and the view.

If this doesn't inspire you to dress well than I am not sure what will. Everything you'd ever want in luxury goods can be found at Amaree's. Mic drop.

Beautiful architecture but the curation feels a tad old lady. Clothing definitely feels a bit rich granny rather than young and chic. Not as cutting edge as I would have liked.

Can't say we bought anything from A'maree's. The store was fine, but there's a 'shop dog' named Mama that, after an employee/owner was effusive in her insistence was friendly, charged at our 1 year old daughter from across the store, barked and showed her teeth. I question the judgment of a store that would allow a dog like this (and we're dog people, so there's no built in fear or dislike) in their store, exposing customers to danger and themselves to liability.

Keep me away from here! It's so dangerous to my checkbook. Vogue called the owners the best eyes in the business and they are right! The merchandise is heavenly and the atmosphere is beyond beautiful.

Always wanted to go and visit,for some reason or another never did until yesterday.what an experience!!! The clothing is very unique and exclusive .very tasteful but the service is extraordinarily superb! What a delightful experience we had. It is a must go boutique!

One of my favorite places to shop. I live in LA and drive out few times a year and treat myself to their beautiful clothes, shoes and jewelry. They always provide friendly help and I do not feel pressured to shop, although I have never walked out without an item.

I don't know about you, but when I walk into a store I need a bit of time to look around before I can even decide what I am looking for! The women who work here are "hoverers" (is that a word?), but frankly, this is the best clothing store for women in all of California. Hands down. And...they have terrific sales! When you go, make sure you have enough $$. You will ALWAYS leave with something.

Fantastic, this boutique has been around for years and years but the location and experience is just beyond...be prepared to spend a pretty penny but it will be something you will have for a Lifetime :)

This IS the absolutely the BEST boutique around! Great selection from the best designers around. Their store is absolutely beautiful overlooking the water and the merchandise is displayed nicely throughout the store. The staff Denise and Christian were extremely friendly and helpful. I didn't have a clue what to buy my girlfriend but they helped me find a couple items my girlfriend loved! Definitely check this place out!

This is not just a boutique- this is an experience of beauty. I have never experienced a place like this. Perhaps in my wildest dreams watching Pretty Woman as a little girl- but even that description downplays the artistry of this rare retail spectacle! If you can afford to casually shop here, then good for you! Enjoy this waterside wonderland! If (like me) it far surpasses the everyday and even the special occasion purchase- I would still encourage you to walk around! You will not be I'll-received by the lovely owners- 2 sisters- who are the brains behind this phenomenon! I stumbled upon this place as it was on my list of stores to see while promoting a fashion line. While it was clear the second I walked in this was the type of place (if such a 'type' exists in the US outside of A'maree's) that noteworthy designers will send custom-made pieces in hopes of being showcased / sold at this gallery of ready to wear! Anyways- after being greeted so warmly- despite the clear implications that I was not a customer from the get go, I was encouraged to walk the store- which I can't describe how beautiful it is, really. It reminded me of Clemenceau Chateau in Loire Valley, France. I brought my boyfriend back. He hates to shop. He couldn't understand how or why I could possibly be brining him to a boutique I'd recently visited. ....Well, We stayed for over an hour. We were served flutes of some of the most delicious sparking rosé's I've ever tasted. We had a spectacular afternoon. Dawn, one of the sisters, was an incredible host. My boyfriend included our afternoon at A'maree's as one of the highlights of our 6 week climbing and camping trip up the coast of North America. Honestly, little head-sets that you put on when you walk in to tell you about the clothes, shoes , accessories- wouldn't seem inappropriate - and I mean that in the best way possible!

A'maree's is by far the most sophisticated boutique in Newport. The merchandise is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully displayed. The clothes and shoes I've gotten here become my classic favorites. It's a place I go for something really special and unique - when they have their fantastic sales. Their sales are worth waiting for since the prices are (understandably) high. Even during a sale, their sales people are attentive and friendly. Very low key. I like their new location and just love their style.

Like you're in Europe...but in Newport Beach. Such a gorgeous location that you're torn between looking out the window or at the amazing inventory!!! Great job ladies ;)

Extremely disrespectful service, I've bought 46pairs of shoes and 15 purses at Neiman Marcus, south coast plaza and Barney's, I live in crystal cove cove but never wanna shop here ever again. I was trying to take a picture so that my friends could come, but the blonde lady employee had very bad attitude and said no pictures, rude!

I've done a lot of remote contact with A'marees (phone, email) and everytime the staff has been accomodating, friendly, and sweet. They really are all about service here. And yes, they do have Balenciaga. Just called today and the staff gave me their entire stock, which includes some great pieces! Definitely worth it to check this place out!

If I had money to burn I would only shop at Amarees. Everything is amazing... Whenever I pop in I always find several lovely pieces (from casual to formal). The staff is ready and willing to help - this is particularly helpful if you have a special event to attend and don't want to search through every rack. The owners are as lovely as their clothes... and the jewelry selection is incredible. Very unique pieces. I think maybe I need to go next week.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this store. The first time I walked in, I really thought I was going to get no service what so ever - To my utter surprise, the ladies there are the BEST! Aline and Denise are always there to help me. All I have to do is walk in and Aline will ask me what I need and immediately pull pieces for me that she thinks I'll like - The only thing I have to do is go into a dressing room and start trying on all the goodies. They know my size, they know what I like, and they pull me what will look good on me... Regardless of the occasion. They make shopping really easy especially because the store is packed SO tight with stuff. It's true that by the time you walk out you could have made a house payment with what you purchased, but the service that you get there is something you never see anywhere else. I tell the ladies there all the time that I think they have some kind of secret scent they spray in the air to turn people into a trance-like state of shopping - Regardless, I love them there!

Very kind staff! This is a place that has some of the most elegant events with an amazing setting. How many other boutique have boat parking right? This is set over looking Newport harbor and has an amazing flow to the store.

This store takes advantage of my 80 year old mother and sells her clothing and jewelry she will never wear. The bills of 20-40k and then refuse to refund or exchange after one week. The process is becoming Elder Abuse.

As an apparel industry veteran, I had the pleasure of traveling the world for design and inspiration (read: I was paid to go shopping). With these travels I've been to some amazing stores, but not one has rivaled Amarees. Every detail is exquisite and the floor portholes are my favorite. I'm always warmly welcomed, treated with respect and provided just the right amount of service - even in my sweaty yoga clothes. I look much younger than my 30+ years and many stores are dismissive - but not at Amarees. It is the only store in OC that carries Celine, and I love to support local for these special purchases - rather than hauling myself up to Barney's Wilshire. I love that they retained the architectural spirit (I remember dining here at Canos as a little girl) - great memories. Keep up the great work!

Hmmm, not sure why the listing says A'marees twice but ..... This store has been in this plaza for as long as I have lived here. I have watched it morph over the years into what is now the most perfect selection of women's, high-end, designer clothing. I mean every item in this store is amazing. You know at Neiman's there are some cute things and a lot of "filler" pieces??? Well, here it is all good. Not good, GREAT!!!!! But here is the catch....it is soooooo expensive. You will find every top designer here, Balenciaga (and, yes, they have THE bag...in every color), Yoghi Yamamoto, Lanvin, Christian Louboutin, Henry Beguilan, Chloe, Jil Sander.....it goes on and on. If I were like "Oprah rich", I would buy everything here. But since I am just "wife of doctor" rich, I don't get much. They have 2 sales a year. Get on the mailing list. The customer service is amazing if you look like someone who can afford to shop there, if you don't look like it, they are brief but pleasant. If you are a fashionista, you should definitely stop in to see all the clothing you have only seen in magazines. They are even more beautiful in person.

Beautiful store, fabulous Vogue-worthy selection (indeed they have been mentioned in Harper's Bazaar and Vogue a few times). Even with South Coast Plaza nearby (and every shopper worth her dime would know that SCP has pretty much everything), Amaree's holds her own. The store carries wide yet well-edited selection of ready-to-wear pieces from exclusive, hard-to-find designers such as Brunello Cucinelli, Yohji, Lanvin (the accessories selection is particularly mouthwatering), Dries, Louboutin, Jil Sander... oh my. I literally swooned when I first walked in - the level of sophistication is on par with some of the finest boutiques in New York, Paris, San Francisco, London, Rome.... Any fashion savvy woman, from socialite to your average professional woman, would find something to love here. The catch, of course, is that it is breathtakingly pricey (the front store more so than the other parts), an average professional like myself (albeit a well-paid one), limits herself to accessories and the occasional treat but every encounter has been a memorable one.

This is as good as it gets! Family owned and run, PERSONAL attention.. really a CLASSY place. Beyond beautiful things.. special orders, I've found that the things that stay in my closet for years and years are the treasures I found at Amaree's. Everything else comes and goes. It's so worth it to find something you really love here and treasure it for a long time. If you see something, you have to buy it though. Not a a lot of any one thing. Likely you'll come back for it and it will be gone! Amazing sale in mid-January and mid-July every year.

Christa is awesome, we needed some buttons that were damaged on a blouse bought at the store. This was entirely our fault but Christa went totally out of her way and mailed us brand new buttons , this was way above and beyond what was expected, A'marees is awesome and so is Christa.

Fashionistas! This place is heaven! The selection is perfect....from Celine to Saint Laurent to The Row!!!! And the view....cannot be beat! This place is my go-to when I can't drive to LA for my shopping fix! Don't know why it took me forever to write them their 5 star review!

This is a great selection of designers in a unique location. There are some unique finds here, and a constantly changing blend.

This is a surprisingly editorial boutique housed in a unique space near the water in Newport. Because of the expansive space, the ambiance is more like a market, with different tables representing different designers in vignettes that are constantly changing. This is a great place to find more obscure labels in Orange County, and the editing is interesting. Plus that sales staff leave you alone to browse.

One of the most spectacular fashion boutiques I have come across, anywhere! Beautifully chosen pieces for each season. Plus, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and warm.

Hands down the best boutique in Newport, one of the best in California. Incredibly merchandised, impeccably styled, this is a must stop for anyone who is serious about couture trends. Amazing.

they have a big selection of high end designers here. i can't believe this is in oc. they carry jil sanders, dries van noten, lanvin, etc. something i don't really expect the oc housewife to wear. they're too tacky. LOL.
