This hotel is very old and outdated, however, it’s so convenient since it’s attached to the airport. For a late night flight, this hotel was perfect for us. Water from the shower smelled weird but it sounds like they are doing renovations which is great. Staff was super nice and accommodating. This place has so much potential and is walkable to the airport so perfect for layovers. If I fly through Bangkok again, I would stay here.

We stayed at this property for 1 night before our early morning flight to Da Nang, Vietnam. It’s the perfect hotel for travellers with flights departing from Don Mueang Airport, as it’s directly connected to the terminal via a convenient footbridge - super handy when you have lots of luggage or a tight schedule. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the staff were polite and professional. Our room was spacious and quiet. However, the hotel itself does feel a bit dated, and the decor could use a refresh. Also, lighting in the room was quite dim, which made it hard to do anything that required good visibility. Water pressure in the shower was also on the weaker side, which was a bit of a letdown after a tiring day. One odd thing: during check-out, I was asked if I consumed anything from the minibar, but ours hadn’t been replenished at all. Apart from the complimentary bottled water, the fridge was completely empty. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Overall, this hotel is all about location and convenience. If you’re flying out of Don Mueang and just need a place to rest your head for the night, this does the job well. Just don’t expect too many frills.

I recently stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to the airport, which was incredibly convenient for my early morning flight. The location is undoubtedly its strongest point.||However, the room left much to be desired. It was evident that the hotel hadn't undergone any renovations in quite some time. The carpet emitted a strong, unpleasant odor, reminiscent of dampness and age. This made the room feel less than inviting.||While the staff was courteous and the amenities met basic expectations, the outdated condition of the room significantly impacted my overall experience. I hope the management considers refurbishing the rooms to match the hotel's prime location.

Changed my room without fuss due to light not working. Pool area great way to finish my holiday. Linked to the terminal by a walkway, very handy indeed! Nice hotel and also had some great streetwise food to enjoy on my last night in Thailand.

Convenient for airport transit, but shows its age Liked Directly connected to Don Mueang Airport via a convenient walking bridge Friendly and welcoming front desk staff Comfortable beds Rooms equipped with all essential amenities Disliked The hotel is quite old and visibly worn Scheduled renovations from March 2025 to February 2026 Doors are noisy—every time another guest enters or exits their room, it echoes loudly in the hallway Room rates are high considering the outdated condition and limited facilities

Amari is a chain of hotels, and based on my experience here at the DMK airport location, I would be up for trying them again. The hotel is old, but I really valued how quiet, convenient (covered, wheelchair-accessible walkway between the airport and the second floor of the hotel), and inexpensive it is. Book a courtyard-facing room for the utmost solitude. ||For the property’s age, I was pleasantly surprised how clean and comfy my room was, although outlets were not the universal type and I forgot my adapter—the hotel didn’t have the right one to let me borrow. The WiFi was a bit finicky at first (they want you to sign up for their rewards program, understandably) and if you didn’t create an account, the internet connection would shut off in like ten minutes or so. It wasn’t clear enough on how I needed to proceed to prevent this from happening, but eventually I realized my mistakes and signed up for a rewards membership.||I would likely come back to the Amari DMK on a future Bangkok visit!

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location—you can walk to the airport terminal in just a few minutes via a pedestrian bridge. Other than that, it’s an outdated, run-down building. Everything is dirty and stained. The carpets in the rooms and hallways are ancient, and the corridors feel like dark tunnels that make you feel depressed just walking through them. The hotel room has an air conditioning system that is impossible to regulate. If you set it to the lowest level, it sounds like airplanes are landing and taking off inside your room, making it impossible to sleep. At the same time, it gets unbearably cold. The only alternative is to turn it off, but then the room becomes unbearably hot. The bathroom is a complete safety hazard, with multiple small built-in steps that are just waiting to make you stub your toes until they’re bleeding. On top of that, it was absolutely disgusting—there were long black hairs everywhere, clearly left behind by previous guests. Would definitely not stay here again!

Perfect location if you need to travel next day. Basically I walked from the lobby thru a covered bridge to the international departures. Very safe!!! Staff extremely friendly and make me feel safe. Huge restaurant, Local beer was good and the salad was very fresh. There is a huge swimming pool. This is a very large hotel.
