This place is delicious and nostalgic. An out of the way cafe that serves old fashioned burgers and breakfasts. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. I really enjoyed the fact that coffee and tea were $1.38. The service was good too. I recommend trying this place just for the small town experience.

Good food and nice service but the food could’ve been better. The eggs still seamed a little undercooked. The porkchop tasted old and like varnish. And the sausage was dry and tasted different. (Not ordinary) The pancakes were good and the service was great. (As mentioned before) It’s a little hard to get to but otherwise I do recommend coming here. I give them credit because not only was it 10 minutes before they stopped breakfast, but they also removed the porkchops from our ticket.

First time we’ve been there and we’ll be back. 7 of us went at 11:30 on Sunday- food came out hot and plentiful. Fries are homemade, good quality bacon and fresh eggs. Prices are great and comfortable decor. Very attentive waitress and new cook did an outstanding job getting orders exactly as we requested. I would like to see a bigger sign at Manhattan Street as we weren’t familiar with this area and we questioned if we were heading down the right street.

Had seen the videos on various food shows about how great the chicken fried steak was at the Stockyards Cafe in Amarillo. It was delicious. Steak was fresh. Fried just right. Homemade French fries that were just as great as the steak. Salad was fresh. Service was excellent as well. Went back and thanked the cooks for the great steak.

Good breakfast. They say they open at 6:00. We were there around 6:10. We got our food about 6:45. If you have time to visit and drink coffee, which I did that day, It's a good place to go. $6.50 for a big traditional breakfast.

Good food, poor service. The chickenfried steak is quite good as are the mashed potatoes and gravy. The place itself is a greasy spoon type restaurant. The CFS is good enough that I still stop there sometimes when passing through Amarillo, but the service has gotten worse each time.

Amarillo’s Stockyard Grill is located like in an actual stockyard. You enter the building and it looks like an office and when your inside, on your left is the door to the grill which actually looks like a cafeteria. When your inside you sit down and a server will give you menus just like in any restaurant. I like the food there coz it’s like your comfort food. Well, my husband and I were there for breakfast and I can say that it was a good breakfast indeed! The grill was decorated with western pantings. One wall had a cow hide on on it and a painting. The server was attentive and the food was good and inexpensive. When you use your GPS be careful as it might bring you to the wrong spot (which happened to us). Good thing I was looking around and saw a sign that says Stock Yard Grill. If you’re in Amarillo, drop by Stockyard Grill. You’ll not only enjoy good food but also read about some history of the Amarillo stockyard.

The lunch sirloin was excellent. It was cooked a perfect medium-rare. This was our first time with the new owners, and we will be back.
