Food was very nice. But portions are a bit small for what you pay.

Beautiful atmosphere, great tasty meals with great prices and lovely service.

Its okay. Nice atmosphere. Paid like $12 for 3 spring rolls, which was silly. They were nice and fragrant though. Make sure you ask for the lunch special as they default to the full price main. My pad thai was pretty salty and whatnot. Probably won't be back.

Without doubt the absolute worst meal I have had in a very very long time. We ordered through Uber Eats which has in the past been a fantastic experience with the meals we have chosen, however this definately was not one of them and I strongly recommend avoiding this restuarant. The Moo Kra Tium was absolutely disgusting - over cooked pork is not a nice experience ever, however what I was sent for dinner makes over cooked pork seemingly eatable. What I received for $24 was pork that was cooked to the point it was leather, with a morsel of soggy lettuce. Absolutely disgusting dinner - avoid at all costs.

Very bad quality food. Was there for dinner last night with my girlfriend and friend . Every meal was take away quality at best . Very overpriced, the food was not fresh and the squid smelt very old. Never again . 25$ for a Tom yum soup which contains preheated broth and tiny Chinese prawns is laughable. No wonder the place was nearly empty on a Friday night .

Food was not what we ordered and bland. No chilli on chilli pork soft shel crab was deep fried hard, chicken added to veg was cold and just cut and dropped on top of sauce, boneless fish was full of bones, obvious ones that were picked out. Pad thi was small, dry and tasteless. When asked about management, none was present but we were talking to who was in charge... service was poor and lack of communication skills, meant we were asked what was wrong after explaining the above. - just not worth the heartache of expecting a good meal- friends mentioned 10years ago it was a nice place, but seems not any more.

My experience here was shocking. I had my sisters birthday here. Our entres all came out at difference times. People had finished their entre 20 minutes before some had even received theres. multiple main meals missed. Received a chip glass which we had to send back. Got a pad thai that was like glue and the noodles weren't cooked, uneatable. When speaking to the manager, she was rude, non apologetic.. we were offered nothing for any of this. The bar guy actually snapped at us and was EXTREMELY rude. Spoke to his staff like crap as well and quoted "ill speak to my staff the way I want" .... the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. We were there 2.5hrs and most of us didn't even enjoy our meals... our bill also came to $608 which was absolutely mind blowing since it was an overall absolutely crap experience and we even copped abuse from staff.. I wouldn't recommend this joint to any one!!!!

Went there with my girlfriend for our anniversary dinner. Booked a table at 730. First the entree is served. After we finished the entree, the first waiter came and ask us if we are ready for our main and we said yes. After a 10 mins wait, another waiter came and ask if we are ready for our main, what?? Next, the mains are served, the food was ok, and suddenly my girlfriend shouted and stood there pointing to her rice. There is a small cockroach walking on her plate. I was so disgusted and the waiter just walked here and pointed the cockroach came from top. And thats it. That's all he does, blaming the cockroach dropped from the celling and doesn't do anything about it. We requested a plate change but couldn't stand to eat in this filthy environment and left. But!! We paid full price for all the food we haven't had a bite and they didn't apologize or gave us any discount of anything. Very dissapointed and felt disgusted for this environment. Will never ever come back aND will not recommend.

Yelp
This restaurant is unassuming on the outside but an absolute find. Just around the corner from Fellini's on O'Connell Street, Amarin serves Thai food in a lovely intimate environment. This is definitely a date restaurant. Because of the small space the waiters pay special attention and take really good care of you. I get this feeling I could ask them for anything no matter how strange, like fairy floss dipped in mayonnaise or a barbecue chip pie, and they would nod, thinking holy shit, and them do their darnedest to whip one up for me. You'll feel special here. The roasted duck curry with lychee, pineapple and eggplant is something different and surprisingly delicious, and if you're a bit of a comfort food eater like myself, the old faves like Pro Ram and Massaman Curry are spicy and filling and really delicious. Can I say nom nom nom? Guess what: I just did.

Yelp
A friend had recommended that I should try this restaurant for its good Thai authentic dishes, service and atmosphere, so a friend and I decided we should try this place out. We ordered two dishes; the Pandan chicken and the Seafood Pad Cha. Both dishes arrived 20 minutes after ordering. The Pandan chicken consist of pieces of boneless chicken wrapped with aromatic leaf, deep friend and served with sweet chili sauce, and the Seafood Pad Cha is a combination of prawns, squid, octopus, mussels, snapper fillets and stir fried with Thai spices, coconut milk and chilli paste. Both dishes were very delicious! The chicken was tender and well favour and my friend told me that the seafood was too hot for their likeing. The place was a little small though, we were place on a table where people and staff use as their main path to move around the restaurant, so people were bumping on to our table. Overall the restaurant serve good authentic fresh food, good service and splendid atmosphere.

Yelp
Located just off O'Connell St in North Adelaide, Amarin Thai is a definite must try. It is a small space and gets quite packed, so bookings are essential for Friday and Saturday evenings. They also cater for large groups despite being a small space. Walking in, you will find waiters and waitresses dressed in Thai costumes greeting you with friendly smiles and escorting you to your table. The service here is very good. Artwork decorates the walls, while dim lights hang from the high ceiling. The interior is definitely cosy, a bit old-looking, but provides an intimate atmosphere. You can find a couple extra tables in the tiny courtyard outside. The food here is some of the best Thai I have ever had in Adelaide - especially the Pad Thai! I don't know about you, but I've never really been a huge fan of sweet, tomatoey (word check anyone) Pad Thai. Here at Amarin, it tastes... Different. Less sweet. It's so good! The Tom Yum is really nice, but quite expensive and it's a very small portion size. There is this other pork dish, I forget it's exact name but it sounds something like "Choo", and you can either get squid or pork with it. It is sort of like glazed pork. Very nice! Be sure to try this next time you're around North Adelaide!

Yelp
Golden Boy was booked out so we went for a 'trusted and known' restaurant and they didn't disappoint. Apparently they have a new Thai-born and trained chef but if our meals were anything to go by their standards won't be dropping. Amarin has the typical Asian feel and waitresses dressed in traditional dress is a nice extra. All staff are very helpful and our request for faster service as we only had 50 minutes to spare was quickly accommodated. Don't book a table near the entry as it gets breezy and avoid the halfway point where the toilets are...so front and rear are best. They welcome drop ins. Their plate of sizzling Amarin beef special was divine and the duck curry with pineapple and lychees, whilst a bit short on the actual curry, was absolutely delicious. The green chicken curry I had last time was equally great. The menu is quite standard but then you go there for good Thai food, not surprises. The drinks list isn't exceptional but has enough there.

Yelp
Tucked just behind Fellinis it is easy to miss this place. I love going to dinner with work mates because we all like food maybe a little more than is healthy. So after a few rounds of drinks we ordered our food. We got 2 serves of sea stars. They were amazing prawn dumplings. I would be more than happy to eat a meal of them. We had mussaman, pad Thai, barramundi and green mango sauce. The range of meals we had were fantastic. I could not fault this place at all

Yelp
I didn't take any pictures and will have to change that in the future because this place isn't just about the food. It's the experience. From the beautifully dressed servers who were all pleasant, friendly, efficient and helpful to the nicely appointed space and the colourful dishes this place is a hit. The aromas are important and we found ourselves trying to match smells to menu items for a good 5 minutes as we salivated over choices. Pick anything, I would hazard a guess that the whole menu tastes great. Just having some coconut rice alone was extremely flavourful and may well have been soaked in angel's breathe and unicorn tears before it was served! The only downside for me was cost. We had a modest sized meal for two with a bottle of beer each and it came to $110 or so. Ok, not extortionate but a little more than I would have thought we'd pay. In any case it's worth the trip if you haven't tried the restaurant yet.

Yelp
A charming Thai restaurant around the corner from Fellini's on Tynte Street. An inviting combination of stucco and wood, the space has a warm Mediterranean hint with vaulted ceilings and a french window in the front. It's a bit of a shame there's only two tables outside, as it's in a nice, slightly secluded spot. The cosy inside is lovely though, with the dining area is in an L shape wrapping around the kitchen and bar. The food is very good, but for me the main beauty of Amarin is the pleasant environment! Take away is quick, my last order (Pad Ma-Moung Him-Ma Parn) only took 10min! If you're eating in, they don't do separate bills. Won't disappoint.

Yelp
What a cute little Thai place nestled in North Adelaide! It's artfully decorated which creates a wonderful atmosphere. A variety of options are on the menu, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. It can be dark in the restaurant, but I've always had a great meal and experience. They provide takeaway too.

Yelp
Amarin Thai is just up the eastern side of Tynte Street and a gem that has been hiding there for many years now. The food is great, and the service is truly friendly. I have to underscore this, because there are few places where I have felt such warmth from the staff as here, even though I am not really a regular, you are made to feel like you are one of their best customers every time you visit. They have really good lunch specials during the day, however I mainly use them for takeaway food. They prepare the food quickly, so you can literally call and then jump in the car and go and collect it straight away. Their Larp Chicken and Sea Stars come highly recommended by all I know who have tried them. One thing that does let them down a little is that they have found a formula and stuck to it for more than a decade. The decor is a little tired, and the menu has not changed in all the time I have been going there. I really would like to see them extend themselves a little and mix it up a bit... but at the end of the day you know what you are going to get, you don't need to consult the menu as you can order from memory, and that makes Amarin Thai a safe choice.

Yelp
Terrible service and mediocre food. We waited an hour and half for our food to come out, and when it finally did the food was cold. There were no apologies or discount either and the wait staff were extremely rude and unprofessional.

Yelp
Service was efficient and friendly. Food was fresh and well priced. Atmosphere was bustling yet relaxed. What more could you want? Really nice authentic thai food in a relaxed atmosphere. Easily one of North Adelaide's best thai restaurants.

Yelp
The best Thai restaurant in North Adelaide. I find it hard to go past favourites like Barramundi with green mango. This restaurant has been doing things well for some time. It should have more direct competition but others seem to be adopting McDonalds sort of fast food model. Cheap but very profitable. If you want value head to Amarin.

Yelp
Outstanding Thai dinner here. We started with hot spicy chicken rolls (spring rolls) - great. Then we had Drunken Noodles, Pad See Oeaw and Pad Ka Pao. All were delicious. Service was very friendly and quick. Wish we had time to come back!

Yelp
Thai food doesn't get any better than Armain's. Never been disappointed with the service here. The prawns are top-notch, cooked with roasted coconut and red chilli. I'm a fan of anything with Ginger or Galangal, these prawns have that spicy texture that I love. The food inexpensive but the wines will fetch a high price. Bring your own, just don't bring beer.

Jonny B.

Yelp
Really bad experience in my opinion, charged us $1 extra each for chilli flakes, never seen that before, really?? It smelled like a stinky toilet where we were sitting. Cockroaches around the seats. Really? That's Disgusting, at least tidy up and clean before you start. Food wasn't that great and customer service is very poor, she refused to get us one big rice bowl and said you have to get it individually.

K H.

Yelp
Very disappointing. Arrived and was seated straight away. 15 mins before our order was taken. Ordered 3 entrees and 1 main to share between 2. First entree came out and was cold. Next entree came out 20 mins later, followed shortly by 3rd entree. Waited another 20 mins for main which was just Pad Thai and Jasmin rice. Food was average and service was poor. Won't be dining here again

Ian B.

Yelp
A disappointing follow up to a previous good experience. Good food except for rubbery fish cakes. Poor service, with one of our main courses and lukewarm rice being served with the entrees. Despite no break between courses the main and rice were almost cold when eaten, while the other main only arrived to join the cold rice after an enquiry as to its whereabouts. Two requests, separated by considerable time, were required to get a bottle of tap water, while one plate had to be called back when cleared from the table before we had finished with its contents.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant a few times but after the last visit I won't be going back. The food was fine but the customer service was shocking. We visited a few weeks ago and used the entertainment book voucher. The idea with the voucher is to receive 25% off your total bill. When it came time to pay the bill we did not receive the full 25% discount. We spoke to a lady at the front counter, the manager I think, and were told that you had to spend over $100 to receive the 25% off. This is incorrect and is not written anywhere in the entertainment book or the voucher. I tried to explain this to the manager but she would not listen and was very rude. She told me that I was making a big deal over $5...in my view the $5 wasn't the issue, it was the fact that they participate in the entertainment book system but do not honour its rules. After I told her this she basically yelled at me and we just walked out. Rude and inconsiderate, has no idea about customer service. Won't be going back.
