Amaru ApartHotel

The is a newly opened hotel on the Avenida Argentina disects the Antofagasta town. It has been opened three months. We choose this hotel initially as it was one of only two available. We are glad that we did. It is run by Chilean family and a chap from Ireland who married into the family. The hotel is very nicely decorated, the rooms are nicely sized with a good size bathroom, a small kitchen and a bedroom. The staff were more than helpful during our staying suggestions places to go and eat. The internet is very good, the shower is powerful and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast is included but not cooked which means that they deliver cookies, cake and a couple of slices of break to your room and you prepare this yourself in your own kitchen. On the whole a very nice little hotel with really nice people running it. This is a reasonably priced hotel and you very good value for money.

The rooms were really nice: a well equiped kitchen, a very confortable bed and a great shower. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had to go the clinic of Antofagsta and I don't speak spanish, the owner of the hotel, who speaks english very well, went with us and helped us without asking anything in return. He was really nice and I still don't how we would have managed to get there and to explain what I had without him! One thing is sure, you'll feel at home in this hotel !

Very nice newly built hotel. Very clean and well furnished apartment. Full kitchen and the BF was more than adequate. Walking distance to beach, mall, restaurants, bars etc. Owner and staff are very pleasant and helpful. She even called to book for us the restaurant. Stayed one night only on our way to San Pedro but will definitely stay again if in the area.

Reviews are accurate about the amazingly friendly and helpful staff. I felt very welcome and they aimed to please. ||||The hotel opened in January 2013 and is in very nice condition with a separate living area, bedroom and kitchenette. All well appointed. Breakfast is delivered each evening for your own preparation in the morning. There's a toaster, electric water kettle, stove top and small refrigerator.||||Bathroom is small but clean. Plenty of hot water available throughout the day and night. Wifi is free but in my room the signal didn't reach to the bedroom where a full sized desk and office chair was located. Wifi was slow at times but perfectly adequate for most functions.||||I'm fairly certain the hotel was full but it certainly didn't feel like it and it was mostly quiet. The few travelers I crossed paths with seemed like a mix of local and foreign.||||My only negatives to share are not deal breakers. First, my room overlooked a busy street. It didn't keep me from sleeping but the noise may bother other travelers. And just to be fair even the Holiday Inn Express is located on a busy street that gets a lot of noise as well. In fact, you may be hard pressed to find a hotel that doesn't have noise from passing cars in Antofagasta. The room was always a little cool in the evening and night and I didn't see a thermostat (but, it didn't bother me enough to inquire, either - besides, just take a hot shower at night).||||There's no restaurant at the hotel and nothing that I'd gamble with within close walking distance. There is a Shell gas station across the street that I suspect may have snacks and drinks.||||I recommend. You can stay with confidence. You could stay for more elsewhere and feel like you got less. I hope the hotel and family do well there.||||I booked my room through Expedia and everything from check in to check out went smoothly.

The staff could not have been more attentive to my needs. The host is from Ireland so English speakers will be comfortable here. The room far exceeded expectations. It had a fabulous rain shower, a full kitchen stocked with free eats, a living room with a flat screen TV and cable, Wifi acess and a separate bedroom with wonderful, comfortable bed and bedding. There is also free parking and 24 hour front desk security. Antofagasta itself is a little rough around the edges, but you'll be at home here.

Fiquei de passagem neste simpático apart-hotel. Chegamos em Antofagasta a noite e tínhamos que pegar o ônibus para San Pedro de Atacama pela manhã! Local muito agradável, bem decorado e equipado com microondas, torradeira, jarra térmica elétrica, fogão cockpit, louça, geladeira. A acomodação que eu fiquei tinha uma sala com a cozinha conjugada , um quarto de casal com sacada, um de solteiro e um banheiro. Ideal para quem vai passar alguns dias na cidade a trabalho ou lazer. As pessoas que nos atenderam também foram muito atenciosas e simpáticas! Apesar de ser um apart-hotel o café da manhã está incluído e deixam tudo na geladeira para que você tome na hora que achar melhor. O preço é bem interessante comparado com outros.

War 4 Wochen beruflich in Antofagasta in diesem Aparthotel, fast neu, sehr sauber, sehr nahe am Zentrum , gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten aber vor allem: sehr freundliches Personal- der Chef kümmert sich auch mal selbst um die Gäste und man steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Nach vielen Jahren beruflicher Reisen nach Südamerika war das, was das Hotel betrifft, meine schönste und angenehmste Erfahrung. ||Gute Internetverbindung, nach Wahl Apartments mit Balkon, komplett ausgestattete Küche, neue Möbel, ein Bett aus dem man nicht aufstehen möchte, ist wirklich eine ganz tolle Erfahrung gewesen, vielen Dank ans Amaru-Team

Un Apart hotel ubicado en el centro de la ciudad. No es muy grande, pero si lo suficiente para estar cómodo y bien atendido. Es muy lindo, los detalles de decoración minimalista lo hacen reconfortante. La limpieza espectacular, parece departamento piloto nuevo. El desayuno muy muy bueno, completo, nutritivo, lo necesario para comenzar el día. La atención un 1000, Felicitaciones Amaru!!!. Lo recomiendo 100% y volveré sí o sí.
