-13.51528°, -71.97538° Hostal Amaru Inca is located in the charming, quieter and more authentic San Blas neighbourhood, known for its artistic atmosphere, cobbled streets and proximity to Plaza de Armas (about a 7-minute walk downhill) and Plaza San Blas (about 2-minute walk uphill). Given the altitude, approximately 3,400 meters, the location in San Blas means you will have to walk uphill for a bit to reach the hostal, which itself has no lift and can be a problem for guests with mobility problems or heavy luggage. The hostal has a nice, traditional and cosy atmosphere, highlighting the beautiful courtyards, Andean decoration, and comfortable common areas. Despite being in a popular area, the hostal is relatively quiet and peaceful.||In April 2025, our room 209 (2F) was at the back courtyard of the hostal with a comfortable double bed. It was clean and maintained with hot shower. Wi-Fi reception in the room was reliable and free. The amenities in the room are basic. Breakfast was tasty and sufficient, with options including fresh juice, eggs, bread and fruit.||Hostal Amaru Inca is highly recommended for its excellent location in the San Blas neighbourhood and its charming traditional atmosphere.

Great place to stay, very well located, superb restaurants close by and not as crowded as the main square. Included breakfast is excellent with a friendly staff. Rooms are heated from 7 pm to 7 am which is a benefit in Cuzco. You have all the hot water that you want; it never ran out. If I come back to Cuzco one day I will definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent in the heart of Cusco's historic district. The hotel is located in the San Blas neighborhood and very walkable to good restaurants and the Plaza de Armas. The complimentary breakfast was good with a selection of fruits, breads, ham, cheese, granola & yogurt. They make eggs to order for you as well. Our room had a great view of the city and was very large and comfortable. The heating goes on from 6pm to 6 am although we didn't need heat in May. I also liked the tables and chairs in the courtyard. It was nice to sit and drink the complimentary teas that are always provided. Our only complaint would be that we could hear people in the neighboring rooms and courtyard. It's not really a complaint though, more of an observation. The hotel is old, like all the hotels in the area so we expected the level of noise we heard. It didn't keep us awake a night.

Absolutely gorgeous old building with a nice courtyard, beautiful rooms, & amazing breakfast. Bathrooms are clean, and I really appreciate the cotton sheets & blankets. The staff are also very friendly, especially Epi & Julia. Wish we'd stayed here our entire time in Cusco!

We stayed next-door in a delightful apartment and went to the hotel each morning for breakfast. Epi and Maria were usually there to greet us and provide us with a delicious start to the day. They even prepared rocotto salsa picante for me every morning such a wonderful experience and lovely people.

The hotel I've booked a day before arrival, for totaly seven persons. The hotel is in typical colonial style with wooden crafted furniture, spacious bathrooms and tasty breakfast. The location is jus 300 metters away from main square, many restaurants and shops arround. One main issue is a heating as it is available from 7pm to 7 am, this should be changed and please fix the electric sockets 🤝 Valentina and Erlinda were very kind and helpfull trough our whole 5 night stay, please raise a salary to them 🙌 Kindly recommend it for those who want unique accomodation experience!

The breakfast is wonderful with only fresh ingredients. Each morning you are greeted very friendly by Epi & Maria and you can tell them how you’d like your eggs. ||The view from the restaurant is great: you can see the city skyline of Cusco. In the middle of the hotel, there is a nice garden with free water to tap.||The rooms are very clean and cosy and the shower has running hot water. Furthermore, the room temperature is really nice. The location is very central with very good restaurants surrounding the hotel. We loved our stay!
