A fantastic place to stay! I stayed with my sister for the weekend and had a very warm welcome by the owners. The room was clean, the beds were very comfy and we had complimentary Tea, Coffee, Kettle and even fruit in our room. It had an en suite which was very clean too. It is within walking distance into Edinburgh (around 15-20mins depending on fitness levels). It was a lovely place to stay and perfect for what we wanted.

Wonderful Guest House in a beautiful area a short bus ride to the centre of Edinburgh. I stayed in a single room whilst my friends shared a triple.we were welcomed in by Cathy, one of our hosts, who went over our location, the walk/bus journey to town and a little history on this wonderful old house. The room was spotlessly clean with lots of space, a good shower and lovely little extras that I hadn't expected such as the water bottle and fruit with the tea tray. I unfortunately was ill on one of the days and unable to go with friend's into the city, and Cathy was extra kind checking in on me and offering me soup. Amaryllis Guest House is a wonderful find, close enough to the city centre to walk in but just off the main road to the city allowing for a good night's sleep. I'm hoping to return next year with my family

Too expensive for what you get.The room is cosy and clean. However the bathroon has a shower without showertray and one must shower with the soap and shampoo in the hand which is not comftarble. Also the high price 690pound for 3 nites does not include any breakfast.

Amaryllis Guest House is the place to spend your hoilday. This guest house should be awarded for its cleanliness and lovely gardens. Although it does not offer breakfast, it provides a kettle with other amenities, where you can|serve yourself with a nice hot cup of cofee or tea anytime you desire. |The Amaryllis Guest House is a nice cozy place, with a beautiful garden as you enter its premises, easy access to restaurants and shops and its location also allows easy access to bus transport which is a short distance away from the bus stops.|I would definately recommend Amaryllis Guest House to everyone I come in contact with.|Hence, if Amaryllis Guest House should ever decide to offer breakfast, I am of the opinion that the Amaryllis Guest House ratings would definitely increased.

I haven't stayed in a guesthouse for some time, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I'm quite used to chain hotels and Airbnbs. However, I found myself delighted. I had a small single room with its own ensuite, that was honestly plenty of room for one when you're out and about in the day. I appreciated the excellent shower and modern bathroom, the spotlessly clean room, and freshly-made bed each day. There's also a kettle with teas and coffee, as well as biscuits and fruit available in the room. It was also nice to have a TV to put on in the evening. Bed was very comfortable and I had three peaceful nights' sleep here. Cathy the owner is incredibly responsive to queries, and happily greeted me at the door on arrival, providing me with a map and handy info for getting into the city and travelling about. The guesthouse is about 15 mins walk into the heart of the old town. You can also take buses from very close by, and taxis/ubers were also easy to get from the location if needed. I found that it was very peaceful to stay here, and I barely ran into anyone on my trips in and out. If you're considering this guesthouse for a trip to Edinburgh, I can throughly recommend it.

Not too far from the centre of Edinburgh, it's walkable but there are also regular buses. It's just a 2 minute walk from Morningside shops and cafes. ||The guesthouse is well maintained and welcoming, the owners are friendly and helpful. ||3 of us shared a room and it was small but had everything we needed, a kettle, welcome tray with tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits, plus a bottle of water each. Bathroom was clean and the shower was lovely. ||Perfect if you want somewhere close to the centre but quiet.||Would definitely book here again.

My stay at the Amaryllis Guest House was delightful. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Its proximity to local attractions made it a perfect choice for my visit. I'd definitely return!

1st time in Edinburgh but couldn't have stopped at a nicer b&b, so warm & welcoming. Bedroom was lovely & clean & breakfast was great. We were in the top room so had a nice view out on to the city. Transport from train station is good as there are buses 1 after the other & if you ask the drivers will tell you the best 1 to get on or just ask a passer by as they were so helpful. Would definitely stop here again.
