Amatara Welleisure Resort

We really enjoyed staying at Amatara Wellness hotel where we found all the staff super helpful and friendly. We bought a health package which was great and really helped us kickstart our holiday in a healthy way. The spa was very impressive and the expertise of the therapist Muay was amazing. Both massages by her were wonderful. I also had an IV drip to help with immunity and Tippy, the nurse who administered it was so patient and friendly and it didn’t hurt a bit. The doctors who introduced us to the programme and wellness assessment were thorough and made the results easy to understand. Thank you to all the teams

The Villa is so wonderful, also the cleaning here. Perfect location and view. The customer service is not that good (the Restaurant Scene, neither is the food, the staff was very young people, that didn’t know much or speaking English ex.). That's why we don't join the New Year EVENT, but absolutely chose Restaurant SIRI, very good food, customer service, we love it (has eaten there many nights). We love Natty, the waitrese at breakfast and by the pool, she is AMAZING and the rest of the staff is so good to. The staff at Restaurant SIRI are so good with the customer service. Just want to tell you, that I have been working in the Sale Department for 35 years from starting being af Sales Consult, Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Director in Denmark. This is probably the best resort I have ever been to. I will structure it such that it is easier to read. Rooms/Resort This was the highlight for us. We booked the sea view villa. The room was incredibly spacious had a huge bathroom with a big walk in shower as well as 2 toilets. The closet space was big and had automatic blinds which was a nice touch. The view was absolutely stunning, the best view I’ve ever had from a resort. The Pool was very nice and clean and a good enough size to swim. The area for tanning was also amazing. As a Muslim couple, privacy meant a lot to us and Amatara made sure to accommodate. Not all rooms are equal, some have more privacy than others so if this is important for you speak to them. The cleaning was also amazing. Always left phenomenally clean and folded our clothes which was very kind. The room also came with 8 pieces of laundry cleaning per day which was very very handy. It also came with 2 free drinks per day and one tea time lunch. They also give you glass bottled water instead of plastic as they focus on health here. They also do honeymoon packages which are decently priced as well as breakfast in the pool. The resort is stunning. Surrounded by beach and jungle. The mosquitos do come out at night by the restaurants so wear the repellant. Service The service here was amazing. Every single worker is super respectful and displays what we saw everyone in Phuket, a country based on respect. People are always smiling and they try their utmost to solve your issues. The receptionists were all super useful and solved all our issues. The security was also amazing, as you went in and out every car was checked which gives you an extra piece of mind. They buggy you anywhere you want to go. Food The food here was decent. The Thai food was good quality but as you’d expect about 5 times the price of outside cafes. The western food was not as good and I would not reccomend eating this unless you are very picky. Though the pizza was actually really nice but again on the expensive side compared to outside. I would very highly reccomend this resort. It was an amazing and unforgettable honeymoon. Will definitely come back in the future inshallah.

Located on a beautiful cliff with stunning views, the property is far from the beaches and the airport, but ultimately worth the stay. The suites and villas are beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. However, we experienced two nights of poor sleep due to a persistent background noise coming from the air-conditioning system. Although engineering attended to the issue, the disturbance significantly affected our rest, mood, and overall experience. Unfortunately, the team was not particularly helpful when we asked for recommendations in Phuket or for information about hotel activities. Additionally, the general level of English could be improved to ensure smoother and more seamless communication. The breakfast offering lacks international and healthy options, which is not aligned with the hotel’s “wellness and leisure” positioning. On a positive note, the common areas are very well designed, with a lovely infinity pool and a pleasant “sunset deck” that is perfect for enjoying a drink while taking in the views.

Everything was excellent. Spacous rooms with 5+* ameninities. Soft high quality slippers and robes, feather duvets and pillows, white big towels, even a beach bag in the closet. Windows have electric curtains to easily make room dark or light without getting up from bed. Even drinks are complimentary in the mini bar and refilled daily. Extremely helpful and nice staff, thank you all, especially Jasper and Audi. Golf cart shuttles to the gate or around the resort are very helpful. Big library of books to loan if you run out of material. Very good food and happy hours are a nice touch. Many restaurants and culinary for everyone. The resort itself is very pretty, clean and quiet. Everything is very well maintained. Pool areas have complimentary pool towels and lemon water. On hot days staff hands out chilled towels which was very welcoming. Tennis court being free of charge and having a tennis wall was a great surprise. Daily activities range and are a good workout or tasty experiences. Also private beach has paddle boards and kayaks for leisure workout.

We had an excellent stay at this resort! Check-in was smooth, and we were able to enter our villa early as it was already prepared. The villa itself was beautiful, spacious, and perfect for our needs. We were travelling with our 9-month-old baby, and the resort kindly provided a baby cot, which made everything much safer and more comfortable for our little one. The views, amenities, and overall atmosphere made our stay truly enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. Even when we needed to check out at 5:30 AM, someone arrived within minutes to assist us, something we really appreciated. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a generous spread with halal options included. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing and well-rounded holiday experience.

I stayed in an ocean view villa at Amatara Welleisure Resort, and from a purely visual and comfort perspective, the experience was excellent. The location is stunning, with truly breathtaking sea views. The villa itself was marvelous, spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a luxury stay. The resort is a very large, well maintained compound with strong security, plenty of staff, and a feeling of exclusivity and safety throughout. That said, what keeps me from giving this a full five-star review is something more intangible. Despite being located in Thailand, the resort feels like an international luxury enclave rather than a Thai experience. I missed the warmth of Thai culture, authentic Thai hospitality. Unfortunately, the restaurants are not recommendable. The food does not live up to expectations, especially given Thailand’s world class culinary reputation. If you stay here, be prepared to leave the resort to eat elsewhere. The overall atmosphere is also a bit impersonal. Everything functions smoothly and professionally, but there’s a lack of soul and local character that many travelers come to Thailand for.||In summary:|A very good stay with outstanding villas, views, and facilities, but somewhat impersonal and disappointing when it comes to food and cultural authenticity. Ideal if you want privacy and luxury, less so if you’re seeking a genuine Thai experience.

Our stay at this resort during the New Year 2026 period was exceptional. The New Year's Eve celebration featured a live band and a special dinner, culminating in a magnificent fireworks display visible along the coast. It was a truly beautiful experience.||During the regular days of our visit, we thoroughly enjoyed the various swimming options, including the expansive main pool, the ocean, and the private pool integrated into our suite. Additionally, our daughter greatly appreciated the kids' club, where she engaged in craft activities with friends for several hours daily.||The accommodations were clean, and the staff consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness. We highly recommend this establishment.
