Amaudo is small but perfectly formed.
It is a boutique hotel situated between St Francois and St Anne on Grande Terre, a few meters from a tiny beach popular with surfers called Plage de Baroque.
It has approximately 15 rooms, which are spacious, air conditioned, and absolutely clean with excellent facilities such as a kettle, coffee machine, fridge microwave, some crockery, and cutlery. Our room was on the first floor having a lovely terrace with a dining table and chairs overlooking the garden and breath-taking gorgeous views of the ocean. It was a pleasure to wake up every morning to the view and have cherished memories of it on our return home. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and we had a good night sleep every night. The bathroom is again spacious and well equipped with a good shower.
The communal facilities were very clean and well maintained, with an excellent restaurant serving breakfast and an infinity pool which was sizable. Some rooms had their own pool.
Staff speak English and French and were friendly, approachable, polite, efficient, helpful, and extremely caring, providing a first class service. A car is necessary if you are planning to go out and about and there is plenty of easy secure parking.
The hotel made our holiday in Guadeloupe perfect!
