Ambassador City Centre Hotel

Fantastic location. Close to everything but far from obnoxious tourists. The beds are wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the church bells aren't an issue and once the restaurants close its very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others, as well. Very pleasant experience.

location is excellent, staff are very kindly and helpful. The hotel basically is all good. Just one comments on the shower room, if the show head may maintenance better will be perfect. Shower area do not have door, it is a little inconvenience to make water go out from the shower room to the toilet. All the rest is good!

This hotel has a great location in Haarlem. It includes a restaurant, where we ate breakfast twice, both very good. ||The rooms were clean, though there were stains on the rugs. Our room was on the top floor with sloping ceilings and roof beams just above the bed, making it a little hard to get in and out.||The staff were friendly and helpful.

What a disappointment in the room and bathroom!! The photos on the hotel’s website are very deceiving. The floor was sagging in many places in our room, the carpet disgusting because of big stains. I let the front desk and other staff know about the sagging floors and carpet. Nothing was done, they didn’t offer another room. Maybe because they have sagging floors as well? The bathroom didn’t even look close to the photos on the hotel’s website. I’m attaching photos as proof. For close to $200/ night, it was a rip off. On the positive side: location is great, staff was nice and breakfast was very good.

We love The Abassador City Center Hotel. Arriving via taxi from the airport was a challenge since the location of the hotel meant that the taxi could not take us to the door. Both the front desk and house keeping were helpful. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge but we managed. The location is extremely central and St. Bavo church provided a good navigation point.

Room was spacious for 3 persons. Staff were excellent- courteous, friendly, knowledgeable. Anticipating what would be needed. Room was clean, temperatures always good. 1st floor room still had steps farther up to our room, good to ask to be sure.

Love the location of this hotel! So close and convenient. Originally, I thought it would be too noisy, but it was pretty quiet in that area (at least during the end of March, not sure about during summer). The family room is very spacious and the beds are comfortable. The room does look a little dated. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is because of the shower! We are just not used to European showers. Wet and flooded everywhere! But, they did replace the towels during room service. We are also very happy with the luggage storage room. They allowed us to store our belongings before and after check out. Great service! Would recommend and would stay here again.

In its price range we think this is a great hotel. Clean and well organised bathrooms and comfy beds. One of our rooms lacked a view but this was reflected in the price and we were pre-warned. If your ideal hotel is somewhere comfortable and welcoming to wake up in and come back to after a busy day out and about this is likely to suit you.

This hotel is walking distance from several of the popular attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly, the lobby is nice looking, the room is spacious, and they have snacks available for sale at the front desk if you get hungry in the middle of the night. It's also a reasonable price. The only thing that's not worth the money is the optional breakfast. You're better off eating somewhere nearby. The desk in my room was also wobbly. Other than that, I had a great stay.

This is a very pleasant four star, I think, hotel in the heart of old Haarlem. It is right next to the Great Church (my translation of Grote Kerk). It is a fair distance to drag a suitcase or two from the train station but about three blocks from the 300 bus from Schiphol airport. The room was small but comfortable, and the breakfast was expensive but extensive. The best thing was the location in such a beautiful little city.
