Ambassador City Centre Hotel

Hotel is very modern when entering and very pleasant on the eye. Hotel receptionists are friendly and I must say, although we didn't get his name, one receptionist went out of his way to ensure we caught the right trains and trams, also given helpful advise about the location. ||We had a false firm alarm at 1.30am and the Hotel receptionist at that time was very stressed!! Later found out that Hotel visors had disconnected the fire detector to enable them to smoke in the room. Whole situation was handled well and all staff were very apologetic. ||We had breakfast in the morning with was hot and cold food and drink, which you have to pre book. This was nice and sets you up for the day. ||Hotel room was basic but clean so was ample for what we needed. 2 single beds, TV, toilet/shower and hand basin. We originally booked in for 2 nights and had to extend for 4 and our room wasn't cleaned the whole time we was there. I had to give our rubbish bags to the cleaner in the hallway and then on the 4th day, ask them to clean it on their way around. This was the only real bump with the hotel, hence the 4 out of 5 rating. ||Again, I cant give higher praise for the staff at this hotel, absolutely amazing.

The hotel is really centric. Staff members are great and I received a very warm welcome. The rooms offer basic amenities and the beds are comfortable. However, the room itself is a bit dated, and the bathroom didn’t have an independent bathtub or shower tray with curtains, so the entire floor became wet after showering. The rooms were also not soundproof, so there was a lot of noise from the city and the adjacent rooms. Overall, it’s a basic hotel suitable for a simple and quick stay.

We got married in this location (and spent two days with friends here) and it went above and beyond our expectations. As a location, it had everything I was looking for: location, price, services, food. The wedding planner of the location was helpful and responsive. We managed to do a trial dinner which was greatly organized. The room we got for ourselves was great. They provided us a discount code so all our guests also slept in the location.

The hotel is located in Grote Markt at the back of the church. It's the perfect location to pick if you want to tour around Haarlem and if you have an event at Phil. I stayed with my parents in a very huge room with four beds. There was also a table with cups and tea/coffee options. You could also enjoy a dinner in the comfort of your room. The breakfast is really yummy with both sweet and savory options.

My wife and I had a lovely 8 night stay at The Ambassador City Centre Hotel, Haarlem late September 2025. The ensuite room was a very good size and we had a lovely view of St.Bavo's and the lovely Dutch rooftops. Everywhere in Haarlem was walkable from the hotel and the hotel room was nice and quiet even though the hotel is so central. It was very reasonably priced and the 24 hour hotel reception staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. No negatives at all. Definitely worth 5 stars!!

Another outstanding stay at the Ambassador hotel in Haarlem. I keep coming back to this hotel for business and have no plans on staying anywhere else, as such a great experience everytime. Key for me are the people that work there, can't do enough for you. See you again shortly!!

Fantastic location. Close to everything but far from obnoxious tourists. The beds are wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the church bells aren't an issue and once the restaurants close its very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others, as well. Very pleasant experience.

This hotel has a great location in Haarlem. It includes a restaurant, where we ate breakfast twice, both very good. ||The rooms were clean, though there were stains on the rugs. Our room was on the top floor with sloping ceilings and roof beams just above the bed, making it a little hard to get in and out.||The staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is walking distance from several of the popular attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly, the lobby is nice looking, the room is spacious, and they have snacks available for sale at the front desk if you get hungry in the middle of the night. It's also a reasonable price. The only thing that's not worth the money is the optional breakfast. You're better off eating somewhere nearby. The desk in my room was also wobbly. Other than that, I had a great stay.

This is a very pleasant four star, I think, hotel in the heart of old Haarlem. It is right next to the Great Church (my translation of Grote Kerk). It is a fair distance to drag a suitcase or two from the train station but about three blocks from the 300 bus from Schiphol airport. The room was small but comfortable, and the breakfast was expensive but extensive. The best thing was the location in such a beautiful little city.
