We had a truly wonderful stay at the Ambassador Hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere.||The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality really made a difference in our experience.||Our entire stay was great—from the comfort of the rooms to the overall service. We genuinely had a fantastic time here and would highly recommend the Ambassador Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

The Ambassador Hotel hosted our rather large dig team for six weeks of archaeological field work. Their services were excellent, including the 4 am breakfast we needed before heading out at 5 am, and letting us raid the kitchen for ice and water to fill our jugs for the day's work. The food is excellent, the chef has a deft hand with herbs, and ever-hungry archaeologists were happy with the abundance. I also found the attached cafe has some of the best coffee in Jerusalem. The setting of the hotel is quiet - essential since we were all tucked in bed about 8 pm. The connection with NET bus company - owned by the same family that owns the hotel - enabled us to shuttle to our dig site smoothly. I found the staff kind and helpful. This was my second year at the same hotel and it was positive all the way through.

The staff was friendly and hospitable. Location was in a quiet area of town with a quick 30 min walk to the old city or 10 min cab ride. The patio had a stunning view of Jerusalem. Loved the fennel salads and soups!!!

Booked for my line manager, and overall, it seems to have been a good choice. The hotel has a solid reputation, and the feedback was positive. It offers a comfortable stay, professional service, and a calm atmosphere. While I didn’t stay personally, everything appeared to go smoothly and without complaints.

Best hotel to stay in the heart of Jerusalem. The hotel is an enjoyable 15-20 min walk (depends how fast you walk) away from the Old City. Theres a shortcut you can take with the staircase on the right side. The rooms were spacious, clean and had all the amenities you needed with some rooms overseeing the stunning view of the Old City day and night. The garden terrace is beautiful with lush greenery and a balcony where you can eat all meals. The food was impeccable — the best food in Jerusalem in my opinion. The staff are incredible, attentive, respectful and are family-like. Be sure to ask for their tour packages if you need a local guide — super well organised and also the best tour guides you can get in the country! Warm Arabic hospitality that makes your experience unforgettable. Ambassador is a home away from home.

✈️ 40 mins driving away from Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv International Airport) 🚖 Taxi fare about $100 US dollars (~$320 Shekels) 🚉 Light train in walking distance (Shimon HaTsadik Station) 🥇 Super Friendly and excellent customer service 🟢 Food are fresh and good. Buffet style breakfast. ✈️ Transportation: The hotel is about 40 mins drive from Tel Aviv international airport (Ben Gurion Airport ). I was arrived on a Friday right before Shabbat (be aware business and other transportation is close for Shabbat which started on Friday afternoon close to evening), so I had to take taxi to get to the hotel. It cost me 350 shekels a bit higher than usual (~ $100 US dollars) because of Shabbat. The hotel can also call a taxi for you to the airport and that’s what they did for me and cost $100. Light Train-Shimon HaTsadik Station 🚉 This hotel is located close by a light train station-Shimon HaTsadik Station. It’s very affordable to hop on one to visit the old city which is probably just takes about 15 mins or so. This is a very nice hotel with great customer service. I stayed there for almost two weeks for an archaeological excavation project during May 2025. The staffs there took very good care of us. Their customer service was exceptional-very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend a big group of people/family gathering to stay at this hotel. They have big conference rooms down stairs that can be requested for meetings. They have nice restaurants seating and also outside sitting to relax, have a drink to chill with friends and family. They also provide laundry services that was fast, clean, smells nice, and can also be ironed for you when you needed some fresh clean cloth to wear or pack back home. I was staying at a single room with one queen bed. The room has good space-a bit smaller than I expected, but overall very nice and clean. They have some good closet storage space and a safer to be used. I love the big window view that could see the sunrise every morning. Would try to get a balcony next time when I visit again. The bathroom is big enough and with a bathtub. Even with an extension cord for cloth drying purpose. I found it very helpful, because I was doing some excavations dig and needed to hand wash some clothes each day. The food there was very fresh, decent, and delicious. We have buffet style for breakfast and dinner. They have at least two coffee espresso machines that can make latte, espresso shots, cappuccino and americano as well. To me this was a great news because I’m a coffee/espresso lover. This was my first time visit Israel and because of the staff there I had a great time staying in Jerusalem during the excavation project. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully some of these information I share helps! Happy traveling and exploring!

Spending 20 days at the Ambassador Hotel in Jerusalem felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being gently folded into the rhythm of a city that whispers stories through stone.||From the very first day, I was welcomed not just as a guest, but with a warmth and attentiveness that stayed constant throughout my entire stay. The staff are truly courteous, always smiling, always ready to help. But there is one person who elevates the meaning of hospitality to an entirely new level: Raed.||Raed is not just a member of the staff – he is the heartbeat of the hotel. Calm, resourceful, and genuinely kind, he solves problems as if by magic. Whether it was a technical issue, a sudden request, or simply a need for reassurance, Raed was always there – present, attentive, and ready with a solution that often arrived before I even finished explaining the problem. A true professional, and without a doubt, the person who made my experience unforgettable.||The hotel itself is calm and elegant, with views that stretch beyond rooftops into history. Waking up each morning felt like opening the window to centuries of stories. It’s a rare feeling – to be so close to the heart of Jerusalem and yet wrapped in quiet, timeless comfort.||Thank you to everyone at Ambassador Hotel – and especially to Raed, whose presence and professionalism made my stay not just comfortable, but extraordinary.||I would return in a heartbeat.
