"Vivanta by Taj Ambassador New Delhi Still known to locals as the Ambassador, the hotel is a listed heritage site built in 1945 by colonial architect Walter Sykes George in a fusion of British and Art Deco styles. But its purchase and refurbishment by the Taj Hotels group ensures its present-day comforts, namely pet-friendly rooms with high ceilings, reliable WiFi, and 24-hour room service. While the early clientele included Indian royals, today the building attracts business and leisure travelers looking for a terrific value for their money and a convenient launchpad from which to experience modern New Delhi—it’s next door to one of the city’s most upscale shopping malls. Shop till you drop, then return to the hotel for international favorites like burgers, pasta, and steaks, as well as Indian tandoori specialties at Yellow Brick Road restaurant."

Very good location for the work I had to do and very close to Khan market. Excellent staff always well prepared to help. I thank specially Apoorva and Priri for the excellent service at Breaskfast. Each morning they were ready to bring me my scrumbled eggs and coffee with milk. Thanks also for the tourist informations!|I also want to thank Hukam and Guddi an excellent room keeping. They were very present and servable. Room was always cleaned and taken care off.|I will surely come back to this hotel.

I recently stayed at Taj Ambassador, SeleQtions and it was truly a delightful experience. The hotel’s location near Khan Market is unbeatable, offering easy access to Delhi’s best cafes, shops, and cultural spots. The heritage charm of the property is beautifully preserved, giving it a unique character that sets it apart from modern hotels. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality of the staff specially Uma, Apoorva, Prakash from Yellow Brick Road. From check-in to check-out, everyone was courteous, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. The restaurant and breakfast options were excellent. Overall, this hotel combines old-world elegance with modern comfort, making it a perfect choice . I would highly recommend it and look forward to returning on my next trip.

Me and my family had a really lovely stay at the ambassador hotel. We loved the hospitality . Special mention to front desk Tanuja for helping change of rooms when the one in which we checked in had a bad smoking aroma. |Also a shout out to Mr Prakash and Ms Deepa in the Yellow bricks restaurant for making our meals delightful, specially to my 3 year old for the surprise Ras malai. We will definitely return back with our friends and extended family in future.

I have been regularly staying here for last several years and never does the hotel or the staff disappoint me. Home away from home. |the team of Khushi, Lakshmi, Vansh, Zaffar, Tanya are all very warm and welcoming and make sure that my every need is catered.|kudos to the team for their effort.|The attention to detail in their service is truly commendable, and they go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay each time. Whether it is a special request or just a friendly conversation, the staff always exceeds expectations with their professionalism and warmth.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience! All the team members were so kind and helpful, and provided me with all I needed and more. The breakfast in particular was my favourite part of the stay. Uma Ji, Apoorva Ji, Deepa Ji and the team provided a fantastic breakfast, setting me up perfectly for my day. If you're in New Delhi, there really isn't a better place to stay than the Ambassador. I look forward to being back soon :)

Stayed for a night and found the experience quite pleasant overall. The hotel enjoys a fantastic location – central yet quiet, tucked away from the city’s noise. A lovely surprise awaited me in the room – “WELCOME” beautifully spelled out on the bed using bougainvillea flowers and leaves. The room itself was actually a suite, with a separate guest sitting area and bedroom – much more spacious than most rooms in the same category. Breakfast was good, served in a cozy, relaxed setting. The property retains its old-world charm and heritage feel, though certain areas could benefit from some maintenance. A calm, charming, and well-located choice for a short stay.

I really don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews—credit goes to their social media team for managing that. The reality is different. The rooms are too old. I respect that this is a heritage property, but if that’s the reason for the condition, then please don’t charge like a new or star-category hotel. Breakfast was also very disappointing. The Indian tea was horrible—we had to ask for it to be changed three times, and every time it tasted worse. Overall, not worth the price charged.
