I recently stayed at Ambassador, New Delhi – IHCL SeleQtions, located on Subramania Bharti Marg, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The hotel carries a charming old-world elegance that reflects Delhi’s heritage, yet the service feels fresh, attentive, and genuinely warm. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and cared for. Every interaction felt personal rather than transactional — which, in hospitality, is the difference between a stay and an experience. The morning breakfast was a highlight. The spread was generous, offering a thoughtful mix of Indian and continental options. Everything was fresh, well-presented, and consistently replenished. The live stations and traditional Indian dishes especially stood out. What made breakfast even better was the attentiveness of the staff — quick service, warm smiles, and proactive care without being intrusive. A special shout-out to Wasi, Vaush, Nipesh, Dimple, Avinash, and Emrul for their exceptional hospitality. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly elevated the stay. It’s always people who make a place memorable, and this team absolutely did. Ambassador on Subramania Bharti Marg offers not just comfort, but genuine hospitality — and that’s something you remember long after checkout.

This is a very well situated hotel. The staff is wonderful and I had a great experience while there. The rooms are a bit old by US standards, so just keep that in mind. But everything was clean and my room and bathroom were very spacious. We also attended a celebration on their front courtyard and it was beautiful. The hotel was amazing when it came to coordinating transportation to/from airport and also to destinations like the Taj Mahal.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hotel Ambassador is a beautiful heritage property with a rich history, and staying here truly feels special. Though it is an old property, it is exceptionally well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and a special mention to Mr. Prakash for his courteous and attentive service. Room service was prompt, and the in-room amenities were thoughtfully provided. I am especially thankful for the warm and professional behavior of the front office staff—Aastha, Tanuja, Tashi, and Emrul. Their hospitality truly enhanced the experience. Wishing the entire team all the very best and encouraging them to keep up their excellent service in the days ahead.

Pretty good experience from the hotel right frm checkin to checkout. Location was near to Khan Market and Lodhi Gardens. Also 5 mins away from India International Conference centre where we had to go. Neat large rooms. Dinner & breakfast was at YBR restaurant. Decent option availability and food quality was excellent. Souhen & Sourabh were prompt, attentive & took good care during dinner & breakfast. Availed of their cloakroom facility at time of checkout and was cordially helped by Emrul who took good care.

We had a wonderful experience hosting our celebration at The Ambassador. The food was absolutely lovely, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the staff was courteous and attentive throughout. Everything was managed seamlessly, and the entire evening felt comfortable and effortless. It truly felt like celebrating at home. Stayed at this property with my family. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The food at the Yellow Brick Restaurant was a highlight of our stay. As our visit was short, we didn’t get a chance to use other facilities. I was initially concerned after reading reviews mentioning old or musty rooms, but we experienced no such issues. The property has a distinct old-world charm, and those interested in architecture will find it particularly appealing. The staff was courteous, attentive, and always on their toes. Overall, a pleasant experience and definitely recommended.

I recently completed a three-day stay at this beautiful heritage property. Being in the heart of Lutyens’ Delhi, the hotel offers a wonderful "old-world charm" and impressively spacious rooms that you rarely find in modern builds.||However, the heritage nature is a double-edged sword. While the history is palpable, certain areas of the property are showing their age and are in need of a makeover. I felt the housekeeping standards could be tightened up to better match the property's potential. (On a personal note, the heavy use of carpets felt a bit misplaced given Delhi’s dusty climate, though others may enjoy the aesthetic.)||The absolute highlight of the stay was the Food & Beverage team. They truly carry this property. A massive thank you to Prakash Sahoo, Apoorva, Deepa, Preeti, and Smarnika for their hospitality. A special shoutout to Uma ji—your chai is legendary and can "bring the dead back to life"—and to Chef Dev for the incredible meals. They made my stay truly delightful.
