Stayed here in August.... it was tranquil, relaxing and peaceful. This is where you come if you simply want to just stop and recover from the daily grind of life. Trifona the owner was a gentleman. He looked after us really well and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Don't expect exceptional breakfast because here you get the local village food which includes locally sourced eggs, tasty haloumi, crunchy bread, delicious loukaniko sausage and you beaut Zivania. The beds were comfortable and there was aircon available as well. We explored the area and the local villages Agro and Pelendri... when you come be sure to take a short walk through the nature walk around the back of the hotel or take an 8 mins drive to the village Agridia where the space observatory is currently being built. It wasn't open for us to go in but looked epic in its exterior chrome finish. The lovely thing about being in the village in summer is it's not as hot as the beaches and gets slightly cool at night. It is a delightful ambience and I'll lever forget the smell of the air. It was a beautiful and memorable place. I love the mountainous regions of Cyprus Definitely going back!!!

An amazing village hotel for this who really want to get a taste of what a Cypriot village looks like. The view is stunning and the host is extremely welcoming! We loved it!

I stayed in Ambelikos in the middle of July. It's old traditional stone houses so it was cool inside even in the midday, and also there is a fan on the ceiling in each room. Rooms with balconies have amazing view. All rooms have Cyprus traditional interior. At night it's very quiet and really dark. There is a refreshing swimming pool with sunbeds and a panoramic view. Breakfast was traditional and nice, on dinner I had a big pork chop with salad and fries, and fruites from the garden. They serve it in the garden in the shadow of grapes and trees. There are some hiking routes right from the hotel door. Akis, the hotel manager, was very welcoming and helpful. When drive to the hotel, follow the signs "Ambelikos", don't trust Google Maps.

The rooms were large and clean. In the summer months you need to pay 15 EUR a day for using AC. I travel quite a lot and it was first time I saw this kind of charge. The breakfast was OK but not excellent. We were quite disappointed with the dinner. We had a very nice view from our rooms.

We were looking for a place to stay in the mountains for one night which would be comfortable for 3 adults. This place was lovely. It had a rustic charm. The view was very impressive and our large room had a balcony just above the courtyard used for dinner and breakfast. It was charming to dine in this little secluded hotel. The food was wholesome and filling and didn’t break the bank. The swimming pool was small but very clean and functional. It was great to cool off after a long dusty drive up the mountains and a stroll around Omodros. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Ambelikos is a rustic, tranquil, unsophisticated, friendly, small hotel reflecting the agricultural area within which it is situated. |We stayed for 2 nights in room 12. It was large with a long balcony and hillside views. The furnishings are old fashioned, made of dark wood (befitting the building) but functional and adequate. All the basics were covered - clean linen, plentiful hot water, comfortable bed and the modern essential of good wifi. The shower room was fine although the towels could have been a little less rough. |The food at breakfast and dinner served in an appealing courtyard was tasty and vegetarian preferences were willingly met. Probably best to advise in advance if any such predilections. |The surrounding area is an ideal example of uncommercialised Cyprus. The walk immediately outside the hotel is a paradise of fruit and nuts trees. Such places are few and worth visiting.

A really cosy, relaxing and peaceful mountain Agrotourism stay. Amazing views from the balcony in the room with parking right behind our room (leave your bags in the car as check in is down lots of steps!). The access road is steep and concrete but was ok in our tiny rental car and there are good parking spaces at the hotel - follow Google maps and the Ambeilikos signs at the bottom of the village near the church. Nice short walk to the little valley/gorge if you walk up the road from the hotel or longer circuit walls are signposted too. Staff were friendly and kind, the room was super comfortable with an excellent four poster bed, slept so well despite a huge thunderstorm in the night! Our room had modern air conditioning and heating, TV and a decent clean bathroom. The included breakfast is lovely a was dinner in their traditional mountain tavern! Great value.

Totally unfriendly owner. We came all the way here by foot to get some coffee and the owner told us that he is doing his BBQ (he was just sitting at the terrace) and he refused to serve us in a very poor manner. Totally unacceptable behavior for someone working with clients. In my opinion if he doesn't like his job and tourists he shall do some other job. They have beautiful view if you get a room with a view.
