While this hotel has an old colonial feel and is fairly well situated for the centre of Siem Reap (about 800 metres) and while there are definitely plus points, there were two main drawbacks in my view. |First the breakfast was fairly poor. The coffee was unpleasant, the fruit juice, weak and the fresh fruit, limited and fairly tasteless. The freshly made scrambled eggs were good. The restaurant in the evening was surprisingly good and fairly priced. All the meals were tasty and my fish amok very good indeed.|The other problem was with the air conditioning in our room which was poor. On the first night we complained and were given a fan which did the trick. The staff said they would mend it but there was no sign of any adjustment. I feel the hotel should upgrade this. The room and bed were otherwise fine. The pool and bar were very pleasant and a necessity after two excellent days around the temples

Fantastic stay at Amber Angkor Hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and always helpful. The service was excellent, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The spa, pool, and overall atmosphere were perfect for relaxing after exploring the temples. Highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Siem Reap!

This hotel is getting tired now. We had 3 rooms and all were different, some had has some modernisation with double glazing, new AC and modern shower room, the worst still had wooden windows, a very tired and dirty bathroom and very poor AC. The breakfast options are a bit limited, they do have an egg station though so you can get fresh omelette or eggs. The drink options were poor too, watered down juices and the worst coffee I’ve ever tasted. One of the issues we encountered was a lack of English language, they were constantly saying they didn’t understand what we were asking for, or maybe that was just an excuse. The bar was ok, reasonable prices but they ran out of Diet Coke and when we asked if they could get some more they didn’t understand…. A shame because we would have spent much more time in the hotel and around the pool if they had had any diet drinks.

We stayed here for three nights during our trip to Siem Reap and enjoyed it very much! The hotel is located on a main road but in a quieter area which we really liked. It is in walking distance to the main areas you want to see and close to some bars and restaurants which are a little off the main streets. ||The hotel is clean and tidy and the room we had was very nice and comfortable. The pool is a bonus and perfect for an afternoon dip after a hot day exploring the area! Breakfast was also very nice with lots to choose from and fresh eggs made to your liking. ||The bathroom was OK, though it was a little dark as the lighting wasn’t great. Not a big issue when we only stayed a few nights though. ||The staff were all very kind and friendly from our arrival right through to the day we left. We were overall very happy with this hotel given that we only stayed for three nights.

A few days before we were due to stay, the hotel messaged me to say there was a problem with the water and they were switching us to their sister hotel with an upgrade. We cooperated. However, there was no upgrade and the sister hotel was in a location on its own in an area not good for tourists. Although the staff at the other hotel were amazing, the actual hotel was not. We were conned and nothing was offered.

Tucked away in lush foliage, this gem of a hotel offers a serene and convenient stay in Siem Reap. The location is ideal, with the market, restaurants, temples and a few boutique shops within walking distance.||The amenities are nice, featuring an outdoor pool, an outdoor bar with poolside food service, and a spa. I enjoyed a great massage at the spa, though it was pricier compared to in-town options. The hotel restaurant was adequate, offering an omelette bar and the same four dishes during my three-day stay. Hard-boiled eggs were available upon request.||The rooms, while on the small side, are comfortable, though the bathrooms are quite tiny. A minor issue was that the safe in the room did not work, which was inconvenient for securing passports. Additionally, my room featured windows & when the curtains were pulled back, revealed a building an arm length away. ||Getting a tuk-tuk to Angkor Wat was easy, and the hotel had security guards for added protection, which provided peace of mind.||Overall, this hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay with some minor areas for improvement.

Very comfortable hotel, clean, quiet, nicely located close to the city center, very good standing. |Above all, the kindness and outstanding sense of service of the hotel staff have to be outlined. Keo Kongkea and her colleagues are always ready to support and even anticipate all the customers' needs. Their helpful and respectful attitude are exceptional and we appreciated it totally. We want to thank Keo and all her colleagues for this extraordinary welcome and wish them all the best for their future.|We highly recommend a stay at the Amber Angkor Villa Hotel & Spa. |Josy and Roland from France
