I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves more attention! Our stay was memorable in the best way, and I’d like to share a few highlights:||Food:|Absolutely delicious! The booking included breakfast, which was generous and satisfying. We also added dinner on one of the days—and we didn’t regret it for a second. The variety is impressive: plenty of local, seasonal fruits and dishes that, while simple, are thoughtfully chosen and full of flavor. You won’t find trendy avocado toast or low-calorie vegan cookies (which I personally wasn’t looking for), but I was pleasantly surprised to be served meatballs in béchamel sauce and cooked sprout fish—a beloved local delicacy. The menu caters to all tastes, and I genuinely loved everything I tried.||Service:|One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom is stocked with a wide range of amenities—not just the basics. It’s the only place where I’ve seen items like a razor, vanity kit, and sanitary bag, each carefully packaged in a separate branded bag. The rooms are spotless, well-equipped, and modern (none of that worn-out, outdated feel you sometimes get). The staff is exceptionally well-trained—always polite, helpful, and professional. I appreciated that they ask guests to complete a brief feedback form at checkout—something that’s surprisingly rare in Armenia. Even more impressive, if something isn’t perfect, they follow up to make it right.||Atmosphere:|You really have to experience it in person to feel it fully, but I’ll try to capture it here. The grounds are meticulously maintained—cleaned multiple times a day, with lush greenery and flowering plants carefully watered. There’s a peaceful lagoon with ducks and a charming tradition of leaving bread in a basket for guests to feed them. Children have both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, and the pools (also both indoor and outdoor) are cleaned daily. One detail that stood out to me: the rooms use towels produced by local manufacturers. It’s clear the owners care deeply—not just about their guests, but about the environment, their staff’s working conditions, and supporting local businesses.||This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place with heart. And that’s what will bring me back again.

A wonderful place! Everything was perfect. We stayed in a standard room, where dressing gowns were not provided, but the hotel kindly gave them to us upon request. The restaurant had live music, and the food was excellent—even offering sushi and other delicious options. Thank you so much for the amazing atmosphere and excellent service!

The hotel room was very spacious and clean, they even upgraded it for free. In the rooms there were fruit, little sweets and beverages as a welcome gift. For breakfast there was a huge buffet with both salty and sweet options. Honorable mention to the spa and the staff, who were very friendly.

The hotel is very comfortable with clean spacious rooms, has indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool is open in the winter season. Our room was just beside the indoor pool and it was very convenient to go to the pool and than take a bath in our room. However, even if your room is in the upper floors the shower rooms of the pool provide you with all the conveniences ( very clean towel, shower gel, hairdryer) and what was a pleasant surprise for me is that the floor in the shower room was always dry, there was almost no water on the floors although many guests use the pool. The hotel has an amazing view of the Mount Ararat and very tidy landscaped green surrounding area, but the best part of this hotel for me was the food. It was very tasty and abundant with variety. So far the best food I have ever tried in Armenian hotels. On the week-ends they even have live music that is not disturbing and very pleasant for ear.

Disappointing Experience at Amberd Hotel We were quite disappointed with our stay at Amberd Hotel. The rooms were uncomfortably hot, and to our surprise, they didn't have air conditioning. The pool was freezing cold, making it impossible to enjoy, and the sauna, which we were looking forward to, didn’t even start working until 5 PM — an absurd timing that made no sense for our schedule. Additionally, we were charged 3500 AMD for two cappuccinos at breakfast, which is ridiculous for something that should be standard. On top of that, the SMM specialist confused us with their offer and sold us the same room for 60,000 AMD, which was not worth the price. This deception has left us with no trust in their service. And to make matters worse, the service throughout our stay was incredibly slow. Overall, we were very let down by the experience and won’t be returning.

Best hotel I’ve been to in all of Armenia. Made with an amazing view facing directly towards mountains. Nice service and tasty food all along!
