We were traveling during the Wuhan Covid19 crisis and before Memorial Day so we called ahead to make sure we could get a room. Our plans were to tour Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit and roam around town. She let us know the town was just getting going opening up and we’d have a tough time finding a place for breakfast. Although a couple of restaurants are open for lunch and supper and she said the Hitching Post was open. (I wanted to buy a trinket while I was there.) I bet that town is a hoot when it’s up and running full bore. As it was, we really enjoyed the park, we hiked up to the top of Buck Hill, saw the wild horses, bison etc... Oh and we loved the bed! Soo comfy. Yes, the room (#1) was small, but we had choices to sit on three different kinds of chairs or plop on the bed. TV was small, but it worked for us. We asked for ice and she brought it right to our door. The location was perfect, we walked the town, took a photo with the statue of Teddy and found the geo cache. The statue of the Marquis de Mores needs a good rain, so no photo there, but a nice park with deer in it. We loved our stay and wow, the history there! Maltese Cross Cabin. We’d go again.
