"Positioned in the south of Kenya on the boarder with Tanzania, Amboselli National Park has spectacular views of the snow-capped, craggy peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s tallest mountain. Renowned as being the best place in Africa to get close to the large population of elephants living in the park, here golden grasslands sit next to swampy, hippo filled springs, and in the skies above the wildlife it’s nothing but lilac, dusky horizons for as far as the eye can see. The elephants aren’t all you’ll see here though – Amboselli is also home to leopard, cheetah, giraffe, lions and more."

We visited this park after Masai Mara to admire the beautiful elephants and this park did not disappoint. We saw elephants on multiple occasions as well as other animals. An amazing experience, I only wish I had spent more time here. One downside is that I found there too be way too many jeeps blocking the road and creating queues, so on our evening drive we couldn't even get close to some of the animals we saw earlier in the day. Nevertheless the park is an exceptional place worth visiting.

We spent a couple of very enjoyable days at Amboseli National Park. The environment is naturally very dusty living up to its name. We were also lucky enough to witness a mother cheetah killing a Thompson’s gazelle followed by a feast of her with her kids, got a sight of Craig, one of the super-tuskers of Kenya, the elusive Mountain Kilimanjaro, giraffes, zebras and herds of elephant families!

Beautiful, scenic and an amazing home for elephants. It's wonderful watching the elephants crossing from the mountain side to the swamp every morning and back from the swamp to the mountain in the evening. Feels awe inspiring to wake up to clear majestic and breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro in the early morning
