"Positioned in the south of Kenya on the boarder with Tanzania, Amboselli National Park has spectacular views of the snow-capped, craggy peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s tallest mountain. Renowned as being the best place in Africa to get close to the large population of elephants living in the park, here golden grasslands sit next to swampy, hippo filled springs, and in the skies above the wildlife it’s nothing but lilac, dusky horizons for as far as the eye can see. The elephants aren’t all you’ll see here though – Amboselli is also home to leopard, cheetah, giraffe, lions and more."

🌍 Breathtaking Views and Wildlife at Amboseli National Park 🐘🌋 Amboseli National Park is truly a magical place. The views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, and we were lucky to see them up close, along with lions, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species. The landscape is unique — a mix of open plains, swamps, and acacia woodlands. It’s a peaceful, unforgettable experience for nature and photography lovers. A must-visit when in Kenya!

A fantastic spot to start your wild life safari in Kenya. The closed location to Nairobi and it offers all possible sightings that the Masai Mara could offer. Just go there with your DSLR and capture the wilderness unwind ! The tent 🏕️ accommodation gives you that exotic feel. Night skies are awesome here !

Beautiful, scenic and an amazing home for elephants. It's wonderful watching the elephants crossing from the mountain side to the swamp every morning and back from the swamp to the mountain in the evening. Feels awe inspiring to wake up to clear majestic and breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro in the early morning

There is a wonderful NGO that is tracking and recording elephant family behaviors without any interventions (Amboseli Trust for Elephants). The organization is very effective and manages well on a small budget compared to other NGO. It is a well worth cause NGO to support. If you LOVE elephants, this is the park - a must on your list! There are other animals as well!

Amboseli absolutely blew me away—one of the most magical places I’ve ever visited. Seeing herds of elephants walking across the open plains with Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the background felt like something out of a dream. The wildlife was incredible—elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and so many birds. It’s smaller than other parks, which made it feel more intimate and peaceful. Sunrise and sunset were unforgettable, with golden light washing over everything. If you're looking for those classic African safari moments, Amboseli is it.

This was my first safari experience outside of Nairobi and it was amazing. We were able to see most of the animals that were out and about, took a lot of pictures and videos and was able to see iconic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. My experience here was memorable and I would recommend this national park to anyone visiting or anyone residing in this beautiful country.

Land of elephants and great views of mountain kilimanjaro. Highly recommended. There is a cheaper option than going into the park that I heard from a fellow traveler. Apparently, you can hire a boda-boda for about 500-1000 KES and visit the surroundings and see the same animals without entering the park (and with more freedom to stop and leave the vehicle to admire the location). It’s worth researching more about it!

Amboseli National Park is a true haven for bird enthusiasts, surpassing even Masai Mara with its vibrant avian diversity. While it hosts a fair number of animals, the birdlife steals the show. On clear, sunny days, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro offers a breathtaking backdrop, making the experience truly unforgettable.
