The service, food and bier were all excellent. My wife had the schnitzel and I had the pig knuckle. The apple strudel is was some of best we have had.

The beer is nice but the food...the food itself is decent but it takes way too long. I had already finished my dish, 15 minutes had passed and my husband still didn't gave his food 😞 The waitresses are quick and can't help it.

The schnitzel was very good but a little pricier. The sausages were so so. I expected better. The salad was really disappointing for the price of around 16 euros (not remembered exactly.). We expected some tomatoes and cucumber in the salad, not only leaves. The staff's behaviour was very good.

Bamberg another beautiful city and truly our first beer town. Way busier than the other towns, even on Easter Monday (European Thing). Didn't walk much of the town, but did get a chance to stop at a couple pubs. They even had a smoky flavored beer. Ambräusianum Hell A young couple took the risk of opening Ambräusianum back in 2004, a new traditional brewery. Their gamble has paid off. In only a short few years, their brewery has become one of the most popular among both locals and visitors alike. The central location on Dominikanerstraße, very close to the cathedral, helps bring in trade. Ambräusianum Hell is one of the most recommendable varieties of smoked beer among the many beers they offer: a strong beer (albeit with a moderate 5% alcohol content) with an amber-gold colour that is produced using natural yeast, giving it a fresh aroma and a certain fruity taste.

This was the most wonderful place that we've had an experience dining with in our two weeks in Europe. Our waitress was fantastic the food was beyond delicious and we could not get over the home-brewed beer. We're especially delighted with the post-meal apple strudel. I highly recommend that if you are in the area stop by, it is a treat.

Google
Very nice place for dinner! We recommend trying the Bierprobe, which means you get 0.1 l of each 3 beers that they brew here: Helles, Weizen and Keller. All three were delicious! The food was delicious, too, and it came quite quickly.

Google
Great place for a beer and something to eat. Guy working there is very friendly and speaks great English. In fact all the staff are great. We went in a few times.

Service here was fast and friendly. The beer is very good. I personally liked their Weizen, second to their Helles. Unfortunately we showed up too late to try the food, but from what we could see and smell it seemed good!

Yelp
So crowded. But food was great! Ordered the stuffed onion, beef roulade, and sausage. Very delicious. Service was good. You have to get used to flagging the staff down to get service. One or two for a crowded room. Reservation always required.

Yelp
Part of the Bamberg Beer Tour, they have good beer. Not a large selection, but when you make your own and its great, you don't really need to. I'm a fan of the WeisBiers so that's what I had. They make seasonal beers and they are good. Apart from the beers, the good is great. They have good Bavarian style food like the Weißwurst for breakfast and lunch snack as well as several other pork recipies. I had the "Krusten-Schäuferla" which is a great cut of pork cooked in beer sauce with a great tasting Wirsing (cabbage dish) and Kloß (awesome potato ball!). This is a great place for a sit down meal, a snack, or just some beer.

Yelp
They do a taster tray here which is reasonably priced and allows you to try all their nice beers and still walk in a straight line when you come to leave. Not many places in Bamberg do them and, for such a brewery heavy town, not many places have visible brewing equipment like they do here. But the brewing gear is not the visual highlight here. There is a lovely seating area at the back with a lot of greenery all around the tables. It looks like it should be outside. A photo explains this better I think: (See photo below) I wish I had noticed this charming area before selecting my pew near the front. Great beers in an even better (and awesomely unique) venue. Time to dust off the fifth star! My personal top Bamberg tip.

Yelp
Very Nice Place with a great view of the Dom from outside seating area. The food was good and the beer was good. The thing that impressed me the most was the wait staffs attention to service. After living in Germany for 3 years now I have accepted the fact that restaurants wait staff are not as attentive in Europe like the States. I am not knocking it I am just stating the difference. This place however was very attentive and polite. At one point they forgot my daughters order, and once they realized their mistake 2 separate waitresses came by to apologize. The only reason I gave them four stars, they don't accept credit cards.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this brewery/beer hall/restaurant during our Brewery Tour in Bamberg. It was a great start to a great day. We sat outside and ordered two of their house brews with some sausage and pretzels. This place is located right on one of the main stretches in Bamberg and there is a lot of foot traffic and people watching to do so grab a seat outside.

Yelp
Stopped here while walking through the fussganger zone last week and found a table outside. The bier was quite good. We didn't eat so I can't rate the food although we've eaten here in the past. It's a nice place to stop for bier while walking around Bamberg.

Yelp
Very nice Franconian brewery/restaurant/inn. It's the newest of all breweries in Bamberg. It provides nice open atmosphere inside with a view of brewing equipment and greenery. Service is very attentive and courteous. Unlike most of the country-side local pubs and restaurants, English is OK here. Food is very typical Franconian cuisine. Schäuferle (slow-rosted bone-in pork shoulder) and kloß (potato dumpling) are very good. Located just below the Bamberg Cathedral (Dom), and centrally-located not too far from the famous Altes Rathaus (City Hall/Gate) over the Regnitz.

Yelp
One of the many breweries in Bamberg. All of the wait staff spoke English, and we had good service while we were there. We tried all 3 of their house beers as they offer a tasting flight. This was great as we had more breweries to get to. They also sell their beer to go, so if you just want a beer while walking around Bamberg this is the place to get it.

Yelp
Ambr is right beside one of the most famous breweries in town. Honestly it is better than that facility. all the beers are excellent. If the price were maybe a little lower I woild have bumped this one to a 5 star.

Yelp
Friendly staff, English menu if needed and good food. There's also a kids menu. We had the käsespätzle and a mixed sausage plate - generous portions meant it was a really decent sized lunch. Good beers too!

Jonas B.

Yelp
We went in here for a beer (the wifey had a Bernsteinweizen, I had a Dunkel), but got curious and had to try the (seemingly home-distilled) Zwetschgen-Brandy as well. It was good! The place has a funny architecture inside, quite open and airy, though we sat at a small table in front of the bar, where you could check out the brewing equipment.

Yelp
We got drinks here on a Wednesday evening, and the place was empty. We got the sampler beers, which came with 3 different beers. Overall, would recommend.
