Overall, the food was excellent. We tried the Maltese wine which hit the spot. The rabbit was the best I’ve ever had, the steak was pretty good and the desserts were outstanding, especially the apple crumble and cheesecake. The owner was also pleasant and gave time to have a friendly conversation.

Christopher - the wizard is an amazing host. The rabbit was superb, so was the wine. Fine dining for 50€ per person.

The prices at the restaurant are far too high, which might have been acceptable if the overall experience had been good, but it was not. The restaurant doesn't provide a printed menu, instead, you have to read it from a board placed at the front door. To make matters worse, no matter what you order, the meal costs €22 per person. We had risotto with mushrooms and prawns, and pasta with pesto, neither of which were worth that price. Additionally, a single bottle of water costs a shocking €10. On top of the high prices, the service was lacking. Even the wine was overpriced, with three glasses costing €24. Overall, the entire experience was disappointing and did not justify the cost.

Great authentic Maltese restaurant, we enjoyed every single dish and I have to say it’s been a while since we managed that. The setting is nice but outside it can get noisy as there is a British pub next door… Over all totally recommended.

Would I recommend to a friend? Yes. Would I eat here again knowing what I know? Yes. The food was very good- I had the pork belly. The service was OK. We made a reservation but the table that was reserved for us was in a terrible place. We asked to be sat at another table that was open. The table for 2 are only inches away from the next table but this is quite common for restaurants in this area. If you found my review, helpful, please let me know by giving me a thumbs up.

We visited in March 2025. The soup was amazing, everyone in the restaurant thought so too! We really enjoyed our stuffed quail and the panna cotta was the best we'd ever had. The atmosphere is perfect, much calmer than the bustling street outside. The host and staff attentive and very keen for us to enjoy our experience.
