Lovely spot for a cozy dinner for two ☺️ The menu isn’t huge, but it still offers a nice variety - from lamb and rabbit to fish. Loved the warm atmosphere and friendly service - I’d happily come back again!

On a bit of a whim, we ended up at Ambrosia after our original restaurant couldn’t let us in due to a plumbing issue. It had been maybe 7 years since I’d last been there, and I was really hoping it would live up to my memory - and it absolutely did. The food was excellent, served in a very cosy, family-run bistro setting. The pork belly was outstanding, with beautifully crispy skin and a juicy interior, and the lamb shank was cooked to perfection, the meat falling effortlessly off the bone. The wine list isn’t huge (worth flagging), but it’s perfectly adequate. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was quiet, relaxed, and intimate -exactly what you want for a comfortable evening out. We’ll definitely be back.

Overall, the food was excellent. We tried the Maltese wine which hit the spot. The rabbit was the best I’ve ever had, the steak was pretty good and the desserts were outstanding, especially the apple crumble and cheesecake. The owner was also pleasant and gave time to have a friendly conversation.

Please don’t visit this place I beg you. Service atrocious. Food lacked any form of flavour. Knife and fork to try and eat tagliata. Italians would be offended.def not worth €24 euros per dish.

Great authentic Maltese restaurant, we enjoyed every single dish and I have to say it’s been a while since we managed that. The setting is nice but outside it can get noisy as there is a British pub next door… Over all totally recommended.

Excellent from start to finish. Great value and delicious mouth-watering dishes served with the freshest ingredients. Unique. In the heart of Valletta. Not to be missed.

We had a wonderful lunch at Ambrosia. The service was excellent, the staff very attentive and the manger James was a great host. I had the lamb shank - it fell from the bone and tasted delicious and the sides were cooked to perfection. 5/5 would definitely recommend if you're in Valletta.

I'm guessing this restaurant has changed hands. Whilst the two wait staff were very nice, they have no idea how to run a restaurant. The drinks were ok. The food on the other hand wasn't quite up to my last economy flight on Qantas. Two prawns (i suspect frozen) and a plate full of marginal at best calamari for 32 euro. Bread served with olive oil and vinegar, "put it on your bread and butter plate". Best of luck.
