Ambrosia Restaurant

This restaurant has a view of the caldera and it is nice and quiet for the sunset time because most other people go to the other side of the mountain to see the sunset. But for us what attracted us was exactly the life of the caldera at sunset with all the beautiful lights and the view of the boats lining up to see the sunset on the water. The place is small and quaint and the staff is relatively fast to react and friendly. What could work better for them is the honesty part because despite asking them to add a 10% tip they added 15% and I only saw it on my credit card after I had already accepted the payment. I was annoyed with that because they took more despite my indication but .. I won’t go poor from it. Overall food was good but nothing too exceptional. We didn’t find that many options for the vegetarian diet and the mushroom risotto was over peppered but, oh well again. What can you do? Maybe not a good choice again but great for one try.

This restaurant offered both excellent food and stunning views. However, it is smaller than I expected, with only a few tables, which can be seen as both a strength and a limitation. The staff’s service was outstanding, but there was inevitably a sense of being slightly rushed during dinner. I wanted to enjoy the beautiful night view a bit longer, yet seeing people waiting outside made it hard to fully relax.

Stunning views from this location. No sunset views as it looks over the caldera but stunning none the less. Tables are nicely set out considering it is a tiny restaurant, you don't feel cramped. Food was incredibly tasty at a good price considering the location. Staff are very friendly and will accommodate any requests you have. Highly recommend a visit here

The most magical dinner experience in Santorini! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, perched above the caldera with panoramic views that are nothing short of unforgettable. We’ve been traveling through Greece for several days, and this was hands down the most delicious and memorable meal we’ve had. I had the lobster pasta and we share the shrimp appetizer and Santorini salad. Everything was decadent. The restaurant itself is charming and intimate, perfect for a special evening. An absolute must if you’re in Santorini. highly recommend! Easy to make a reservation in their website and they are quick to respond!

Ambrosia is a fantastic fine dining experience with some of the most amazing views you’ll find. If you can, grab a spot on the terrace overlooking the caldera. The atmosphere is relaxed and absolutely stunning. The food portions are on the smaller side, as you’d expect with fine dining, but the flavors are outstanding. We started the meal with the sea bream ceviche and Greek salad. For our main entrees, my wife had the beef filet and I had the snapper. Service was incredible from start to finish. My wife and I aren’t big wine drinkers, but for those who are, this would be the perfect place to enjoy a glass from their excellent selection. A truly memorable experience!

We had dinner at Ambrosia Restaurant for our anniversary, and it was a really special evening. You definitely need a reservation here, and we were lucky enough to be given what felt like the best seat in the entire restaurant, overlooking the Santorini cliffs and the whitewashed houses cascading down the side. The view was breathtaking, and we got some amazing photos as the sun set. The food was very good and paired beautifully with a nice bottle of wine. Everything felt calm and intimate, and the desserts were also a highlight. It is on the expensive side, but the setting makes it worth it for a romantic evening or a special occasion. While I wouldn’t call it a must-do for every visitor to Santorini, it’s absolutely worth it if you’re looking for a memorable dinner with one of the most beautiful views you’ll find anywhere.
