Really cool old-school theater in a very unassuming but convenient location. Made me miss the AMC of my childhood. Couldn't figure out how to recline my seat or if it even was supposed to recline, but it was fairly comfortable nonetheless.

Some of the reviewers on here are confused and are posting reviews about the Dine-In AMC that's not far from this one. This AMC is small WITHOUT reclining chairs. They're still comfy but you can't raise the leg part up. The parking lot is smaller but free so that's a plus. It doesn't usually seem busy anytime I've gone.

Google
Small, older theater but it feels really intimate & comfy when you’re watching a movie. The staff is really nice & will accommodate you the best they can. I go here often & enjoy myself every time.

Google
The theater is generally nice, but the most recent time I went there were multiple glaring issues. The biggest imo was that the theater itself was freezing cold. Like to the point that even with a hoodie on I was shivering throughout the entire movie, which kind of distracted from the experience. The second was just general cleanliness-the theater itself was fine, but the bathrooms were filthy and out of toilet paper. I know this is nitpicky but the hand dryers were covered in what looked like bacteria or mold, which doesn’t exactly encourage me to stick my hands in there. For nearly $20 a ticket I would not be coming back here.

Google
I watched Gladiator 2 in room #6 and the EXIT sign right next to the bottom-left corner of the screen ruins the experience. Not the EXIT sign itself but its red light shines and reflex on the screen and ALL dark scenes have that red hue on the corner of the screen. There should be a shade or something installed behind the sign so it is still visible to the audience, but the red hue won't shine/reflect on the screen. I won't be going back to that location unless that is fixed. PS: I intended to submit this complaint on their app or website but I wasn't able to do that on either! Gotta fix your app and website too!

Google
The seat are below the screen, causing you to bend your neck back to watch. It's weird and uncomfortable. The place smells old when you walk in. It seems like it's been there a long time, but not in a good way. Smells damp and mildewy

Google
They have tons to offer. They have great movies obviously cause they’re a movie theater, but the chairs are super stiff. They’re so stiff. It’s comparable to a Ferrari F430.

Star B

Google
The theater was freezing cold, even with a hoodie on; the popcorn gave everyone bubble guts and they closed the bathrooms early. Everyone I was with was holding in until the end of movie just to find out restrooms were shut down early. I would NEVER go back to this place.

Yelp
The theater here is on the smaller side and feels a little dated. The screen and sound quality are decent but could still use some improvement. The staff is friendly and easy to engage with. They keep this theater clean and I visibly saw staff cleaning both the lobby and theater areas when I was there. The seats are big and comfy but it's a bit disappointing that they don't recline. I do like how the seats are reverse stadium seating in that they go up as you get closer to the screen. The screen being placed higher makes it easier to see the screen. Parking was very easy in the large lot of the shopping center.

Yelp
We booked 4 seats for Warfare in auditorium 6. But 2 of our seats didn't exist. They were handicap empty spots that didn't show up on the app. We went to guest services. The guest services worker, Lucas, said that the app was correct and that we incorrectly booked the tickets, even showing us his app when booking for a completely different movie. we asked "did you swap the theaters?" And he replied "no, that was only yesterday". So this whole time, he's saying it is our fault.... When our friend, an AMC stubsmember, distinctly told him she goes to amc all the time and uses the app. Then another couple goes up to the counter saying the exact same thing and the actually nice guest services man next to our guy says, "yes they switched the theatres actually, it was our fault. Sorry"... it's that easy. Customers do not need to be gaslit that they're the ones that booked the seats wrong... especially when they didn't. What a terrible experience. And yes, we confirmed the workers name was Lucas. And I hope he doesn't work there anymore... or if he does, I hope he handles it differently next time.

Yelp
AMC has flipped an old cinema here, and turned it into a decent theater, which is across the street from the newer dine-in location. It's generally less crowded and with plenty of parking spots in the plaza. The facility here is old and sort of lack of maintenance, no IMAX and Dolby, reclining seats etc.

Yelp
This is a smaller, older AMC across the street from the bigger AMC Dine-in. PROS: - plenty of free parking in a big lot - friendly staff - never too busy - serve yourself soda fountain with free refills. Has an ICEE machine, but often doesn't work - audio/visuals are fine CONS: - seats don't recline - some seats are torn with red tape over the tear - some theater rooms seem to have a U-shape floor, so the seats up front are higher than in the middle, which also causes you to be looking up the whole time at the screen It's fine for a small, local theater. But don't expect luxury reclining seats or IMAX or Laser screens/sounds because they don't have them.

Yelp
This should be a second-run discount theater because everything here feels discounted and ran through. The fact that they charge full price for everything here is a joke.

Yelp
We recently took a group of 3rd graders to this theater to see King of Kings. The class was excited about seeing the film and their goodies. The staff did an amazing job preparing the 30 kids combos and were patient with the excitement of the class. We appreciated the staffs curtesy. The restrooms were very clean.

Annmarie A.

Yelp
FREEZING!!!!!!!! We just paid full price for a movie to sit there and SHIVER for 3 hours! What an uncomfortable experience. Everyone had the jackets on, hoods up, scarves on heads, sleeves pulled over hands. Fix the temperature so that it is safe for humankind to function and enjoy the show. Next time I'll just stay home and watch the movie.

Yelp
Decent movie theater with easy parking and totally empty for a Saturday matinee. The seats were comfortable but nothing fancy or updated. I'd return for the convenience of parking and entry alone.

Yelp
I'm pretty much starting the holidays by watching "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" here. I first came here in 2016, then came again in 2017. Didn't go back until 2021, then I came again the following year in 2022, also came in 2023 and now I'm here again.

Yelp
Haven't been to this movie theatre in years. Yesterday, we went to see The Fall Guy movie ( which was pure entertainment) ... The people working there are great! The theater itself seems to be somewhat updated, but the seats are a bit raggedy and above rows G, it is almost impossible to see the screen and I am not short. It also appears that although the carpeting is clean, it shows the wear and tear of years of audiences walking on it. We used to call it the dirty socks smelling theatre back in the day. It no longer smells thank goodness... bathrooms are updated which is a good thing for sure ;) The coming attractions were endless and unbelievably loud. I usually go to films at Monica Fourplex, but wanted a bigger experience for this comedy-action film. Will I return? Definitely not. If I want to see another blockbuster, I will go to Cinemark theaters. Even though they also show an inordinate amount of coming attractions, the experiences are a lot better...odd that all movie theaters make "coming attractions" so much louder... is it based on some sort of responses of Focus groups because if I was in any Focus Group, I would tell them to take the volume down... I give THE FALL GUY 10 stars... not this theater.

Yelp
Saw Ponyo at 7pm on 08/05 and when we first arrived in the theater it wasn't hot but wasn't cold. As the movie started It got so hot!! They turned it on mid way then it turned off again and got hot!!! Also do not order the fries. Genuinely the most sad portion of fries. The seats do not recline either, overall would pick a different theater.

Julianne L.

Yelp
While the seats were comfortable and the employees were perfectly fine, the theater completely ruined the movie due to quality issues. I could hear audio from other films playing in the background, which was incredibly distracting. There was also a red glare from the exit sign in the bottom left corner of the screen that distorted the picture. It was a really disappointing experience

Paul B.

Yelp
Popcorn machine broke wow during new movie that's one of the top snacks at a theater unbelievable
google avatar

Chloe N.

Yelp
As mentioned in other reviews, the seats here are not the best.. They don't recline even though it looks like it reclines and they aren't the cleanest! The seating also isn't elevated as the seats go further back, so I was breaking my neck the whole movie BUT the location is extremely ideal and the parking is super easy! Staff is also pretty friendly in the short interactions we had with them. Although, we got caramel popcorn and it wasn't filled to the top despite it being $11.99 for a large! But I guess that's to be expected at the movies ‍

Yelp
This rating is heavily weighted because of the chairs. I remember back before the cushy chairs were added. Was excited for the upgrade. New cushy chairs - awesome right? Sadly, no. First off they look just like the reclining ones, so you're searching for the reclining button for the first 15 minutes of the 40 minutes of trailers until you realize that there isn't one. No biggy, they're still cushy. Onto the real issue - they are tilted slightly forward. My only guess is when they tested these out the floor was flat. Unfortunately the floor in this theater slants forward, causing the chair to tilt forward. So if you're wondering why your back starts to hurt halfway through the movie, causing everyone to noisily shift often in their seats for the second half of the movie, mystery solved. However, if you seek out uncomfortable airplane seats with their backs in the upright position, then this theater is for you. If at all possible please fix this and then I'd be happy to come here again. I'm an AMC A-list member, and other than this like this AMC. It's just not comfortable to watch movies here.

Yelp
My favorite theater of all time! Comfy seats, comfort food and service to your seat. There's nothing more needed!

Bj L.

Yelp
We went to a movie today at the AMC Marina Marketplace 6, and a young couple brought their small, ill behaved dog to the theater. It's horrible that animals are allowed in restaurants , department stores, etc., but a movie theater??? On the way out, this little, rambunctious dog was on a leash all over the place and missed tripping my disabled husband by 2". Fortunately I saw what could have happened and held my husband back. I followed them and asked why the dog was in the theater. She said her Mum died 5 days ago and he was her support dog. REALLY!!! I told her I was sorry for her loss and her husband quickly roared that if I had a problem with this ... and I cut him off and said YES, I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT ! I added .. your lack of responsibility could have been a disaster for my husband. I said again, I'm sorry for your loss but your dog could have caused a loss for both of us. He was 2" away from tripping my husband. THAT would have been disaster for all concerned, including the 2 of you. If you need to have the dog with you, you'd better train it and keep it on a short leash!! And I stormed off. Why would the theater have allowed the dog in. To my knowledge, these people had no official papers to the effect that it was a trained support dog. I have pets of my own but they have their place in life. Shame on you AMC!!!

K W.

Yelp
Came here to see the last showgirl. We were the only ones in the theater, which was a bad sign.. There was no smell of popcorn. Nothing had been cooked in hours. The movie started and it was cropped on the top and bottom of the screen meaning we were getting only about a half of the image. We decided to walk into wicked next door and that was blown out of color. I would never come back here and I would suggest nobody comes here ever.
google avatar

Yelp
Do you remember the small theater that in your hometown that you had to drive 30 miles to watch the latest new movie? The # next to the theather represents the # of screens that AMC has. With that being said AMC Marina Marketplace 6 does exactly what you need it to. I like to see the matinees where literally is 1/2 the price of let's say my Go to Theather AMC 15. The seats are not the best as a lot of them dont fully recline. Parking is not bad. It is what it is.

Yelp
Went to this place last Saturday Day before Fathers Day went with our Big family of 8 our elderly parent 89 & 90 To a Great Dine In NOT hadn't been here in years but the last time I did go it was really nice you were able to push the button and order NOW you have to order at the Kiosk which defect the purpose of Dine In we wanted to be waited on SO OUR FAMILY WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS PLACE Food was terrible and cold and not fresh didn't have a good selection like it use to was not happy or satisfied WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TOOK FOREVER TO GET YOUR FOOD IF I HAD TO GIVE THIS PLACE GRADE IT WOULD BE A F

Yelp
seats are horrible ! dirty ! don't recline ! smells like they haven't cleaned at all! Mirroring quality is very old!

Yelp
First, I would like to note that many people are mixing this theater with Marina 6 Dine-In, that is just across the street, so many comments are really not accurate. Marketplace 6 is a much smaller, older theater, no dine-in service, but you can order your food at the entrance or online/ app order for express pickup, so you don't have to wait in line. Also, seats are not reclinable and yes, furniture is older, but still comfortable. If you would like full dine-in service and reclinable seats, please go to the one across the street. But if you are happy with older theater, that still has comfortable seats, is clean, sanitized, not overcrowded, staff is lovely, but screen is much smaller, then this is a theater for you. We love less busy theater and for that reason Marketplace 6 would be our option most of the time. Also, dine-in one, even though more fancy and newer theater, still does not have impossible vegan nuggets, so cheers to this theater for having them! :) Also, icee is great! Thank you for offering them at no charge for AMC investor connect members! Lines are never long, we order our tickets and food online and as soon as we arrive, snacks are ready for a pickup, so we never had to wait for anything. Theater is clean and no bad smell like some of the comments are stating bellow. :) We love this small, little neighborhood AMC.

Sally S.

Yelp
This place is a dump! Uncomfortable chairs. I want to sit on the floor instead! Whole place smells like farts and ass.

Claudia O.

Yelp
The quality of the theater should warrant lower ticket prices. The theatre is very outdated. The seats are not reclinable and two id seats were broken. When we sat down the seats swayed all the way back. We were lucky it wasn't busy so we were able to slide over to some other seats. Bathrooms were dirty and out of toiletries. The customer service at the concierge was horrible. The manager had an attitude when there was a mix up with our tickets. I will definitely not be coming back.

Brad M.

Yelp
The theater is easy to get into with a handicap person, and the reservation online is great. The only thing I would say is a popcorn and sodas, and things are very very very expensive. That's why I'm only giving it three stars shouldn't be 26 bucks for popcorn.
google avatar

Grady S.

Yelp
Very nice theatre. It is a little older, so just regular seats where the feet don't go up. Still, the workers are very helpful. The food is pretty good for theatre food.

Diane D.

Yelp
The seats were horrible. They don't recline and they are very outdated. We saw a 2.5 hour long movie and that was a huge mistake
google avatar

Brett P.

Yelp
It wasn't a terrible experience but the theater we were in was very run down, lots of broken seats an undefined smell. I suspect AMC is more concerned with the dine in theater they built on the next block, but if you're going to keep the old theater open at least keep it up. No complaints about the staff they were quick to help everyone at the concession stand.
google avatar

Darren B.

Yelp
Glad this place has survived the pandemic, but it's not fully back up 100% in services or staff, yet it's still a good experience. The staff is always pleasant and despite the reduced staff, they do well in keeping the concession waits to a minimum; might take a bit to get delivered, but you're seeing a movie and not catching a plane, so sit back and relax. The place is well maintained and I've never had any issues with film quality or sound and since the aisles are made for servers to come and go, it also makes it easier for patrons to come and go during the movie with minimal effect on you or other guests.
google avatar

Loose D.

Yelp
there was an old man in the theater that was uhh.. pounding his hound, if you will. Muddling his raspberry. Kinda not the theaters fault but somebody's gotta pay. We left early. One star.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
The new theater chairs/seats were very uncomfortable. They were clearly brand new chairs that were in good condition, but I was distracted by back and neck aches during the entire movie from the chair. The top portion of the seatback is so puffy that it forces you to hunch forward, and the lower portion of the seatback is so soft that your low back sinks into the chair. If the seats could recline, it wouldn't be a problem, but the seats do not recline. Everything else with the theater was perfectly fine; audio, visual, snacks were all good. It was just the chairs that were the problem - and they were overwhelmingly bad. If you plan to come to this theater, make sure to bring a pillow or something for some lumbar support, because you won't be getting any from the chairs.
google avatar

Kris M.

Yelp
Great place real nice workers. Parking okay the seats and sounds are great. I'd recommend it.
google avatar

Jordon C.

Yelp
Hello hidden theater! Had only been to the dine in across the street. I have eaten at Fat Burger, shopped at Men's Warehouse, and never took notice to this lil guy! We went here to see the new Avatar (brilliant movie, but no correlation). The concession stand is MISERABLY slow. Make sure you head on over early, as they take their sweet (and salty) time to tend to guests. Best yet? The cashier hadn't seen an old five dollar bill before and contacted her manager who then had to find a pen to test that the money was real - meanwhile we offered to use a different bill as the whole ordeal was taking ages, and everyone in line was already waiting and twiddling their toes. I'm sorry, but if you're a cashier, maybe know what real money is? And if we're going to fake a bill, you bet it's going to be bigger than a 5 - especially when we are spending $50+ for popcorn and candy. Would not recommend, nor deter you from this theater. Average experience.
google avatar

Eliana S.

Yelp
This is our go to theater in the Marina. Despite the fact that there are no reclining seats (this may be a deal breaker for some) the seats are comfy and the theater is never super crowded. Easy parking and less of a fuss than the dine in across the street.
google avatar

J. W.

Yelp
The good: The popcorn was fantastic. The tickets were cheap. The bad: The quality of the projection and sound equipment. It would appear they are using dated equipment, but even then the color balance is way off. I've seen The Shining many times on a properly calibrated projector, and what I saw last night was a washed-out, blue-hued mess. Please note, the seating here is also dated. These are not modern, "stadium style" seats (where the theater slopes up), but flat, old style seats. Meaning the closest seats require craning your neck up at the screen, and the farthest seats feel miles away. This place is not up to par with what I expect of AMC.
google avatar

Karla A.

Yelp
why. is. it. so. cold. in. here. bring. a. blanket. you. will. freeze. came here to watch "i saw the tv glow" and we couldn't enjoy the film because we were freezing cold.

Yelp
Not a busy theater and the concession stand has always been a breeze. Been to 3 or so movies here and overall it's been good. Wondering why this is a 2/5 star rating if it's been good? Read on. Seats are older but comfortable soft ones that lean back a little. Seats do not recline and you are not served food or drink (wrong theater if that's what you're looking for). Plenty of walking space between rows. The above was true until I was in theater 6... Awful. You look up at the screen no matter where you sit. The very middle of the theater is in a dip where the seats in front and behind are higher. Just weird. The screen was not impressive and the sound was meh. We went to see the new Avatar on Christmas day so these details really took away from our movie experience. If it wasn't for the 2 other good experiences in different rooms this would be a 1/5 star rating. I will not be returning to this location due to the risk of being in one of the lower end theaters. Not worth the risk... Go elsewhere.
google avatar

Mel B.

Yelp
No reclining seats which we knew ahead of time, however the seat backs hardly move so it's very uncomfortable. Also the seats rows are not angled up so my kids couldn't see even that well as the person in front was directly in front of them. Food and tickets are same price as nice Cinemark theatre in PV.
google avatar

Er3yn G.

Yelp
I like this theater better than most of the others in the place. The dine in across the street is more expensive and a distraction. The cinematic in playa doesn't have as many options and everything else is too far away. So we come here, where the seating is plush, the customer service is helpful and the concessions goes quick. No one ever comes here either so we can usually get last minute tickets at a good price. Parking is never an issue. The place is clean and up to date with the furnishings. It doesn't feel old but just less frequented due to the dine in theater. I'd rather come here every time!

Mitzi J.

Yelp
I purchased movie tickets. The African American guy wasn't letting a young lady use the restrooms. She just needed to use the restroom. I had to step up and tell them to let her use the restroom. It's a struggle for ladies to be able to use the restroom. No faith in Humanity. Unbelievable.
google avatar

Mykalah L.

Yelp
Nice theater; great seats ! So comfy I went to sleep again ! Don't be pregnant and think you about to make it thru a whole movie
google avatar

Margot J.

Yelp
Really should just be closed. There are two AMCs within a block or two that are newer and offer more. This place is old. The chairs smell, the screens are too high for the chairs- so you're always awkwardly angled up. The food is bad, service is bad, only good snacks were out of stock / machine broken. It just feels kind of gross and under loved.
google avatar

Melanie D.

Yelp
This is an unassuming AMC theater located in a busy shopping plaza. There are not many individual screening rooms. The chairs are soft and plush, but they do not recline - they only rock a bit. I found them to be uncomfortable. The pitch of the seats is also lacking - if people are sitting in front of you, you will see their heads as you are looking at the screen. This is not the ideal place to see a movie, but if there are no other theater choices in the area, it suffices parking - Free lot
google avatar

Andy C.

Yelp
Came in to see Scream on a Tuesday while it was pouring rain, one of their rooms had a leak and our movie was pushed an hour, regardless, the staff was amazing! They treated us well, made up for the inconvenience by refunding us and giving us two new tickets for the future. Before all that, I over heard one staff member ask another, "are you okay?" And the other staff member replied, "yes, you?" And this particular exchange meant the world to my partner and I! Coming back

Mel M.

Yelp
We found the seats to be OK, but the sound was so loud that it was painful. My Apple watch sound sensor kept going into alarm. We had to leave.
google avatar

Doreen M.

Yelp
So odd. Bought a ticket in app. Next day, it got refunded with no explanation. Looked at show times and realized they took out the 3pm showing so had to pick a new time. Still frequent this theater a lot. Love AMC. Wish other theaters had AMC Pass/A List programs. b

Jake M.

Yelp
It's a movie theatre with comfortable seats and food delivered to your seat. Lights next to each seat were a little distracting. Friendly staff, good and fast service. Food service closes before the last movie ends. Below average Boneless Buffalo Wings. - 2 adult tickets was ~$50. - Connivence fee of ~$4. - Regular popcorn was ~$9. - Boneless wings was ~$13.

Monique B.

Yelp
The movie was fantastic, sound quality and crowd was great. However, we had issues with the food. My mother ordered the wings with ranch. Her food was delivered late into the movie (40 mins - not the last to order but the last to get her food), and the staff who delivered asked "What kind of dip do you want? Do you want ranch?" My mom and I both nodded our heads looking him in the eyes and answered "Yes" aaaannnndddd we never saw him nor anyone else that had the ranch for her again. I ordered the Nachos and they were not cheap, $16 I believe and they barely had any cheese along with some of the chips being stale. I would go see a movie again but I would not get any of the food again. Not worth the $$$.
