AMC Santa Anita 16

One of the cleaner AMC theatres I have seen a movie at. Saw pride and prejudice on a Tuesday afternoon and loved the theater. It was clean, had absolutely no oldish smell, the concessions were tasty and the bar actually had a few seats for guests to use. I also liked the fact that they still have a smallish arcade amongst all the cool new technologies. If I had 1 small issue it would be the seats. They're older and my seat in theater 2 didn't really rock like my wifes did. Will absolutely be back when in the neighborhood.

I visited AMC Santa Anita twice last week and both experiences were excellent. The theater is consistently clean, which really enhances the overall experience. I saw showings in Laser, IMAX and Dolby, some 3d showings. i prefer dolby viewings as the sound is impactful and the seat recline. Concessions were readily available, and the service was smooth and efficient, even during peak hours. I appreciate that this AMC maintains a high standard across multiple visits. I'm happy to keep returning here for my movie nights and highly recommend it to others looking for a top-tier moviegoing experience.

AMC Going to this theater requires planning on my part as I have to take the 210 freeway which is always busy. I've been to this movie theater three times and all experiences have been good. Parking is free and usually choose roof parking and the entrance is literally there. Wheelchair accessible too. Concession stand is filled with goodies, expensive but good stuff nonetheless. Located in the far right hand-side of the mall, it can be accessed through elevators on every level. It’s a convenient choice for a dinner and movie date.

Easy to get to. Ample parking right by the theatre if you know where. Hint.. its the peacock parking rooftop. Place is clean, sound is rocking and matinee discounts are appreciated

It was great, went and saw a superman, different then, other Superman movies, but I enjoyed it very much. Go see it, you will laugh. And the superman seems to be a little more human now.

The seats aren't a nice as some other theaters, but they're comfortable. Don't worry about getting there on time for the movie. We sat through 33 minutes of trailers and ads before the movie started. I can handle a few, but it was ridiculous.

HOT. SWEATED THROUGH THE ENTIRE MOVIE. I noticed it the moment I walked in and told staff about it asking if the AC was broken and they reassured me that it would be nice and cool in the theater and it absolutely was NOT. It was hot in the bathrooms too. It was so uncomfortably warm. It must have been at least 85° in there because when we walked outside it was cooler and it’s the middle of summer! I didn’t enjoy the experience at all and am considering cancelling my AMC A-list membership.

The cinema is very spacious, clean and comfortable. We watched a 3D movie at night here, the cinema staff was very good, because seating arrangement was not crowded, the overall cleanliness and maintenance. It is a cinema where people can relax and enjoy!

I came here recently to check out a new movie coming out called Bride Hard. I loved my experience here. I can't remember the last time I went to a theater to watch a movie but coming here made the experience worthwhile and grand. The theater is huge and once you walk in you feel the entire space open up with its high ceilings and great customer service that greets you in instantly. We wrapped around the right side of the hall to get to our theater and the movie was spectacular and the experience wonderful for being back in a theater. This theather is part of a grand mall and I love the community you experience entering the space. Can't wait to go back.

Theatre in the mall? Yes! Mall prices? *le cri* Parking is always in abundance at the mall (distance may vary). There is a wide variety of times and screenings here, which is always a plus. Of course, being 2025, ticket purchases may be online or in-person. I visited with a friend for the new Fantastic 4 movie in IMAX and we paid ~$25 for each ticket. Needless to say, the graphics and sound were amazing. The only disappointment was that the seats up front made it harder difficult to enjoy the movie, though not having the best seats in the house is to be expected for a last-minute impulse decision. The ticket purchase also came with a key chain, likely as a promo.

I want to say, the reason why im giving this a 3 statement rating was because my movie kept being interrupted by two kids who would not stay quiet. The adults didnt really do much to settle down their kids and at the same time, I didnt want to miss the movie. I bought my tickets through the app and placed a food order as well. It came time for my movie and my order was at the window ready for pick up. I got to my screening room, set my food order down and went to use the restroom. The seats dont recline and I feel this location needs a deep clean. The seats were filled with stains. I must admit, the sound system wasn't as loud as other theaters. It was nice not needing to wear my ear plugs. So that was a plus. In the end, I went up to a staff member in the front and asked what to do if something like what I experienced happen again. They said, I would have to get up, make the complaint, someone will go and talk to the guest(s) and could possibly remove them from the movie.

Its a movie theater inside of a mall. Enough said. The complex does contain one imax and a Dolby theater. Dolby is literally the highlight here. Other screens in the complex need remodeling seating options and upgrades. This complex isn't bad by any means. Just a little outdated in some areas.

Watched a movie here with my friends. The theater and bathroom are pretty clean. The workers are friendly as well.

We come to this place... Anyways, movies on the weekend to escape the heat is a summer tradition. F1 was playing and seeing Brad Pit in IMAX was definitely an experience. His face was IMAXed. The seats were nicer and I enjoyed the feel good movie about chasing the love of driving fast cars.

Came to watch F1 for T-Mobile Tuesday $5 deal! I haven't been to the movies in so long and was super excited. Bought our tickets ahead of time so didn't need to go to ticket booth or kiosk. There are kiosks you can do self service which is convenient especially for introverts haha. After getting tickets, just go through entrance and show the guy there your tickets. He scanned ours and guided us to the theater. Super clean movie theater and not overly crowded on a Sunday night. There are signs all over the mall in case you get lost. I recommend parking in the structure next to food court, chicfila and bowlero on the second floor. It gives u direct entrance to the AMC. If you're coming from the mall, head to the food courts and go all the way to the entrance where you see the big Dave and busters and AMC signs (check images). Go up escalator past bowlero and you'll be at the entrance of AMC And ticket booths. They have concessions to buy popcorn candy and food if you'd like. They're pretty lenient on bringing your own food in these days. I remember having to sneak things in as a kid. Bathrooms are always busy so get there ahead of time so u don't have to go mid movie. They're pretty dirty naturally because of all the people using them. The seats are super clean surprisingly! Great job AMC Santa Anita. I just wish they were the recliners haha. Sound system was very nice. Also appreciate the large cup holders that I can fit my yeti in. Overall great experience and for $5 in partnership with T-Mobile Tuesdays, great deal. Looking forward to my next movie night.

Very clean and neat movie theatre but the only down side was the seats! The most uncomfortable ones! We went to watch Lilo and Stitch, 3D! The ticket was about $25 which was little bit high for what we got! AMC loyalty program gives you an option, if you get large popcorn you can get one refill. Basically, buy one get one free! The water bottle was around $7! Small ones! It's actually everywhere in movie theatres! We had fun time. Also, I want to add that the movie theatre is in second floor of the mall and there is a big food court outside so have fun! I like the quotes that it was written in the floor! If they fix chairs, it'll bring me back to this place! By the way, the movie was great even though we were adults but we enjoyed like kidos so it was just a recommendation! Stitch is my fav character so far!

This is our first time going to watch the live action movie of Disney Lilo & Sitch at the AMC Santa Anita 16 in Arcadia. This theater is very nice, including the new modern technology that the movie is crystal clear with bright colors. This movie theater always gets packed during the weekend and holidays.

This AMC is at the Santa Anita mall and has a large parking lot and a lot of screens. It tends to be more crowded than other theatre locations, but it is also better staffed than other locations.

Got popcorn and it was stale.. do they not make freshly popped popcorn anymore? Everytbing was already prepacked in a bucket. I mean i know it saves time but we are paying so much for stale popcorn.. Went to watch a movie and I believe it was theater 10 that's to the left all the way in the back. The seats looked and felt hecka dirty. Service was good though. Was very indecisive and the cashier helped us out and provided options.

Pretty consistent experience with other AMC Theatres in that I enjoy watching movies here. This particular location that is located in the mall on the third floor. So if you are visiting this location strictly for the movie theater at the park somewhere nearby and go a few stairs. I wasn't used to coming here so I got a little lost at first. Other than that, the theater is pretty standard in the concessions are pretty straightforward if you've ever been to an AMC theater.

I've been coming to this AMC for so long since I was a kid. I have had great experiences and haven't had many negative ones. It's been a while since I've come to watch a movie since Covid and having a kid, I no longer have the premiere stubs membership (which the price is now more than it was before). Parking is the most difficult when the mall is busy, you need to be lucky sometimes to get great parking or circle over and over in hopes someone is leaving. We parked in the structure where amc entrance is and got lucky! You can still purchase tickets in person at the booth or via the touch screen tablets! We came to watch Wicked, we ordered tickets on the mobile app, we got to order our foods via the app, and the customizable drinks are always fun (just have to wait for the person before you to finish in case they are indecisive or takes too long). Butter station with containers and salt is the best, I usually use the machine every time I get popcorn, you can never have too much butter. I always buy large do I can ask for my one time refill after! The rooms are usually clean, I don't think I've experienced any dirty chairs or stairs in such a long time. Restrooms are the confusing part, due to the two entrances/exists you need to fight for a stall with the other side coming in especially when a movie ends and everyone rushes to the restroom. Overall I'm glad we came, great place still for movies and when you're hungry after and the food court is still open, you don't have to rush to go home. Dave and busters or Bowlero is usually open late so if the food court is closed that's another option. Or if your movie isn't starting yet you can walk around the mall to spend the time!

Red One was the movie of choice on this glorious day we call my Birthday!! Being an AMC Stubs member makes everything easy from ordering tickets to grabbing snacks on "The Go" the coolest is part was my Free Birthday Large Drink and Popcorn!!! The Staff at rhe snack counter were super cool and very helpful as both the kiddos wanted to buy the suvonier Popcorn bucket and Drink Cup. Once seated the movie was shortly on its way!!! Location of theater to the food court makes it an ideal stop before or after you eat!!! Just a Heads Up, there is a very active security gaurd in the lobby checking people for food from outside so if you grab a bite before make sure any leftovers are taken to the car or he will harasss you to throw it away even if the ticket monitor let's you in with it...

I came here with a friend to watch Wicked on a Tuesday. The movie, the seating, the surround sound, and the theater itself was great! We loved the experience. The reason why this review is a one star is because of our experience after the movie. Note we watched Wicked at the 9:00pm showing and the movie was 3 hours long, so we got out at around midnight. My friend dropped his AirPods inside the theater and realized it like 10 minutes later. We ran back to the theater and saw a staff member still inside. We knocked on the door and tried to tell the staff member that we left something inside. The staff member refused to let us in to retrieve it. That part is understandable given they were closed and that it might have been a safety issue. However, we were tracking the AirPod case and it was moved. This means that one of their staff member who were cleaning the theater stole the AirPod case. We went back the next day and asked if they had anything in their loss and found and they said no. This is upsetting because if we were able to go to retrieve it, we wouldn't be out hundreds of dollars. They're hiring thieves here.

This is a proper cinema. We normally go to the Monterey Park AMC as we are right down the ride and that location is outdated and kind of dirty in comparison of this location. This location is massive and they have updated movie posters and great movie advertisements. They have a bar! That's cool! Everyone wants to drink at the movies especially this one old lady limping in with cane demanding a beer a 2 pm on a weekday when the bar was closed. Hey..let's drink and watch movies. So cool!

So I decided to check out AMC Santa Anita for their IMAX showing of Mickey 17! Parking was fairly easy to find and the theater itself seemed fairly clean and a huge IMAX screen with plenty of seats for sure. One thing I wish for is reclining seats and felt a little crammed inside so a little more space in between seats would be nice. But overall, a solid movie experience and director Bong Joon Ho always kills it for sure!

Terribly run theater. My family and I walked in and the lobby felt like a sauna. As I ordered a drink , I noticed the obnoxiously priced drinks but .. hey ..I'm at the movies. I truly expect to get overcharged at the movies, however I didn't expect the bartender to precisely use the measuring cup and make such a terrible drink. I paid 17 bucks for an honest pour but it was such a rip off. Do yourself a favor and just order a beer, at least you know what you're getting. 20 bucks for one bad drink ,and hot theater...all such an overpriced summer evening . The General manager Robert needs to be replaced for treating his patrons so bad.

We were given a gift card for Xmas and wanted to use it to watch Wicked. To my surprise they have a bar where you can order beer on tap or get a mixed drink. The prices for the drinks are pretty reasonable too. We ordered a big bucket of popcorn but forgot to request some hot butter. The seats were comfortable and the sound was just right.

I hadn't been to AMC Santa Anita in years. I bought tickets for myself, my husband, and son for the Pearl Jam Dark Matter listening experience. What a treat to have the recliners. Some of them are peeling and could use maintenance or an upgrade but they were comfortable. Plus that there is a full bar. That sure wasn't there when I used to come a while back. Con: in the recliner cup holders there was trash and something spilled that I did have to clean up when we first sat down. Aside from that we had a good experience and would consider AMC Santa Anita in the future if we are in the mall already.

The AMC movie theater is located by the Cheesecake Factory entrance where valet parking check in is. Once you enter the mall you will be surrounded with food court eateries. You'll see signs to head up the escalator on the second floor above Dave & busters. Ticket booth is in the lobby right at the top of the escalators. Theater entrance and concessions are upon entry. Theater was clean and ordered ahead. Our popcorn was ready upon arrival and placed on the pick up shelf next to the butter station. Enjoyed DUNE part 2! Amazing loved it. The eco friendly theater has regular stadium seats. Though being non recliner they were comfortable for the almost 3 hour movie. Had a fun time in good company.

Good space, nice movie theater located right in a major shopping center. Parking can be a struggle so plan ahead and it is easy to lose track of where the theater is.

This is my primary theater for movies. June 2025 noon movie had 29 minutes of previews. It's okay, not better or worse than other AMC locations. Temperature is fine in each auditorium but lobby is warm on hot days. Concession lines can get long on weekends and at peak hours.

I go all the time and usually it's a good experience. But I went yesterday and the plus size girl scanning tickets was rude. She didn't want to give out leftover posters even though the movie for it started an hour ago. Then I go into my movie and guess what. I see someone with the poster. I guess favoritism is a thing. The room for Dolby was extremely hot and had no air conditioning. We went to get a refill on popcorn and it was not even fresh.

Wonderful service!! The workers are actually really nice and very friendly! I definitely will be coming back to watch more movies over there again when I'm in Arcadia, California!!! Five stars is exactly my total rating!!!! Thank you all so much for everything!!!!!!

Watching a movie in Arcadia, Los Angeles, California... My friends and I chose this theater to see "Past Lives", a Korean themed movie. Yes, there were some subtitles, but most of the movie was in English. There are other theaters, but my friends belong to the AMC loyalty program with member benefits. There are quite a few perks such as discounts on tickets and food. It's too bad that the seats don't recline at The Shops At Santa Anita. My friends bought tickets online. I just followed along. They told me to park for free near The Cheesecake Factory because that entrance is closest to the theater. Overall, it was a clean, safe, organized, spacious place. It wasn't crowded because it was the 4th of July; people are probably having dinner during the 6:15pm show; and some people have to work tomorrow (Wednesday). Sorry.

Came here to watch Five Nights at Freddy's in Dolby. Room is relatively clean. Comfortable seats and good screen and sound. Restrooms need to be serviced more. 3 of the paper towel dispensers were out. Easy to find, free parking in parking structures. Not too much people on weekdays so I can avoid the crowd. Ordered a couple of hot dogs and a drink. Friendly and good service.

I have gone to see other films here before, it's not a bad theater. Old school, non-reclining seats, but comfortable enough nonetheless. It's located upstairs in the corner of the food court and it can easily be missed since it's tucked in that nook, but there is access to the parking structure from the side though. It is one of the more fancier AMC's seeing as there is a mini bar in there. Overall not a bad theater with decent acoustics and the sound wasn't played too loud and the quality of the projection was nice and crisp. The theater they had for the Kamen Rider movie actually had a lot of seats to accommodate a lot of fans and none of those shenanigans I've seen where theater workers don't care about non-Western movies so they skip around or forget to enable subtitles or something.

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment except for Discount Tuesdays and 30% off matinee movies. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive since it is located inside a shopping mall. Staff & Establishment: The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. Personally, I think they could have upgraded the seats in theater #4. All the chairs were squeaking whenever we moved. It's annoying. Other than that, it was very well kept and clean.

I go to this amc all the time I'm an a list member for at least 3 years I SPENT SO MUCH MONEY WHEN IT COMES TO FANS EVENT AND MERCHANDISE and Mac the supervisor said oh you can't refill your AMC CUPS I BOUGHT BEFORE ITS INSANE Mac are you serious man horrible service I know so many people that work here I've never been told this at ANY AMC IVE BEEN TO

This place is so fucking stupid I called for a lost item way before they closed and they don't answer the phone for shit if I can give zero stars I would fix this place

I particularly bought a seat in Dolby moving seat, it's more width and have a legs stand, just like a massage chair.... Enjoy movie sounds system ...

It is a nice theater. It's inside of the mall and can be a bit crowded, but overall a decent place. The customer at this location is always positive and the staff is always willing to assist. The only "con" is that this location is a little pricier than other AMC movies theaters. Otherwise, Enjoy!

I really appreciate AMC for listening to their audience and adding three additional IMAX showings for Nezha 2. It's great to see that they took feedback into account, and the results speak for themselves--every added show was completely sold out! If they can continue to add more Dolby or IMAX screenings, that would be even better, as so many people are still struggling to get tickets. This kind of responsiveness makes AMC my go-to choice for movie experiences. Keep up the great work!

Okay, so before writing this review I read a bunch of negative ones. Some make good points, but I must say they are not consistent with my experience. I've been to at least 30 movies at AMC Santa Anita 16. Just saw Godzilla Minus One a couple of nights ago. In general, my experience has been quite positive. Their app works great for purchasing tickets and securing seats. The line for snacks isn't terrible (unlike other theaters). This is true whether you're in the "ordinary" line or the "premium" line (A-list, etc.). The people who wait on your are pleasant, usually. The snacks are not cheap, but the cost if pretty standard. (However, if you're an AMC Stubbs member as I am, you quickly get points for discounts on snacks.) The seats in the theaters are comfortable. The visual and audio are quite fine. It's usually not very crowded unless you're seeing a blockbuster on opening weekend. Yes, the bathrooms could be restocked more often. But I've never had much of a problem. Sometimes the soda machines - which allow you to get about a million options - have lost their fizziness. Good to check before you fill up your cup completely. Parking can be a little crazy if you're trying to get into the lot nearest the theater at busy times. BIG HINT: Park by Penny's and walk a bit and you won't have a problem with parking. I'm an AMC Stubbs Premiere member (not A-List). I pay a small amount of money each year for certain benefits. If you see 4 or 5 movies year, you break even. More movies and it's a better benefit. My son is an A-List member who pays a monthly fee for unlimited movies. If you see at least one movie a month, as he does, this seems like a good deal.

Tried the Dolby for Mad Max: Furiosa and loved it! I don't think I can ever go back. Recliner chairs are nice, clean, and spacious. There's a wall so the people in front of you won't bug you. Enough room space between people sitting next to you. The quality and sound are even better! We felt the seats move and vibrate with the sounds of the motors from Mad Max. So thrilling and exciting! Definitely recommend trying. Employees were all nice. Plus, Dave and Buster's is right next door! It's in a little corner on top of the food court, so it's accessible via elevator, escalator, and 2nd floor parking garage (away from general connection/entrance).

I am extremely unhappy and dissatisfied with the manager Chris. We had a Private Theater Rental for 12pm start for my Son 9th birthday and 30 family members. . We arrive at 1130 to make sure it's ready and concessions I ordered a week ago was ready. I get a text from amc that food will be ready at 1140am. Food is not ready and I'm told it will be ready around 1215. My wife asks Chris why and that this is unacceptable because movie starts at 12pm. Chris then is rude and tells my wife there is nothing that can be done and have to wait. No apology or remorse, just a simple "oh well" and made it feel like it was my wife's fault that we ordered too much food and their staff wasn't ready for it. So another girl did say she can move the movie start 10 minutes later so my family can gather food. The manager didn't take any accountability and blamed the amc corporate online ordering system is bad for taking order when his staff can't handle the load. The issue is how rude and bad customer service that Chris was to my wife and myself. No smile, no courtesy no respect. We salvaged the movie once the food finally came out thanks to your concessions staff who was extremely polite, kind and respectful. Chris showed zero empathy to our situation and kept blaming that we ordered too much. Even though amc promised me it will be ready at 1140am. Unfortunately we will not attend this amc theater and definitely not rent a theater in the future. I understand shut happens, but there's a professional and compassionate way to handle situations. That is why I am upset. I am not upset about the food coming out late. I am upset and how the manager Chris handled the problem. Period. The rest of the staff at amc that day was respectful and helpful to us. That is unfortunate that they have to work to this manager.

Saw Ministry here last night and it blew my mind! Chairs were super comfy, soda was cold and delicious, amc sweets were tasty and the people working the counter were very kind. I love my AMC!!

The customer service upon entering was dismissive, it felt very unwelcoming and I am never coming back.

My experience was pretty good and I have no complaints. The first time I came back to the theatre from CoVid, my experience was awful. But it wasn't AMC's fault. It was the lady I sat next to! She was loud, obnoxiously drinking from her straw, and the worst part was she was making racist comments. I came back a second time to watch another movie and had a great experience! I like that you can reserve seats beforehand and use movie tickets from awhile ago to pay for them (I got giftcards and tickets as gifts before Covid hit). You can even reserve buying snacks online and we did that with popcorn! Oh how I missed movie popcorn and especially the butter pumps We got great seats and the whole row to ourselves! Granted, we watched a movie that came out awhile ago and we were watching Imax. Parking was crowded but still has plenty of seats. Bathrooms were plenty and pretty clean as well. Staff were nice. Had a good experience!

The seats don't recline, the row in front of you is so close, people kept bumping into my seat behind me every time they got up to go out of the theater and accidentally kicked my seat the entire time.

Me and my sister went to go watch the new MHA movie today and we bought the themed souvenir cups and buckets for it. Once it was done, it seemed we had lost one of the cups and the popcorn bucket on our way out of the theater. I tried looking through the trash, asking other employees for help, but they all directed me to someone else every time. I did end up speaking to the manager and told him the situation. He wanted to speak to my sister, since she was the one who had it last and probably wanted to make sure we weren't lying (which is totally understandable). He said "call her here and i'll speak to her. If it's lost, we can give you another set" (something like that). So I called my sister and asked her over, hoping that he would speak to her, but he never did. Instead, he went to the back of the counter helping other customers like the lying filth he is. I used to go to this theater as a kid and the service being great. Now this customer service is a complete joke now. This AMC has a lazy manager who doesn't keep his word and needs to be replaced ASAP. Never go to this AMC, go to another AMC theater or a completely different theater altogether. Jimmy (the manager), if you're reading this, I'm never coming back at all.

I just loved loved loved the settings in this theater ! So cozy and comfy ! I was able to relax and enjoy my favorite movie without feeling tired because of the high quality seating and setting features here ;) This is an amazing theater . I felt so comfortable the entire time. Definitely worth coming back !! Very neat and clean both interior and the powder rooms . Well maintained, high quality theater .

I had zero complications when going to this AMC. I'm pretty sad that this is the only AMC that provides premium formats like Dolby Cinema and IMAX that is in the 626 area. I got my tickets online via A-List which is such a worthwhile purchase. I went to watch Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in Dolby Cinema. It had recliner seats which were pretty comfortable BUT I felt my back becoming pretty hot so if they could have some cooling for the seats, it would be nice. The viewing experience is really nice wherever. I sat around G8 and the view was good where I could actually see the entire screen without breaking my neck or without seeing extraneous things around the screen.

The theater is fine, though very expensive. Amc, like most corporations, understaffs the theater, because they know that nobody will do anything about it. I left my wallet there, but nobody answers the phone when you call, so I have to drive down there to find it. Hopefully it's actually there. As consumers, we shouldn't put up with this anymore.

3.8 stars Once upon a time, this AMC was new and my highschool friends and I would watch movies here after some shopping. Nowadays, some seats are stained and it's pretty empty on the weekdays. The additions of IMAX and Dolby are pretty surreal. The younger me would have been giddy with joy at the prospect of such tech! The excitement of watching movies on the big screen will always live within me and this AMC has given me many great memories. The mall has changed pretty drastically in the last 10 years, but this AMC remains almost the same. I've been to other AMCs over the years, but this still remains as my favorite one.
