Ameib Guesthouse & Camping

Simply stunning. The preserve is encircled by nearby mountains offering dramatic views and a truly unique landscape, especially during sunset. Phillip's Cave is a must. Beautiful camping area with all the necessary amenities close by. The sites are equipped with a braai area with running water, are clean, and there is a pool as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, looking forward to visiting again!

2 private and wonderful campsites in the surrounding of Ameib Guesthouse next to the rocks. It's about 25km from Usakos and 3km from the Guesthouse with extraordinary outdoor shower and toilet and BBQ. Absolutely quiet and perfect for relaxing, hiking, stargazing. The other and big campsite with sanitary and pool is at the Guesthouse. The owner and stuff are very friendly. Buffet with delicious meals at the Guesthouse. Perfect place to visit Philipp's cave and Bull's Party, where there are also some giraffes!

The farm is amazing! Beautiful hiking opportunities. Bushman caves, rock formation and more. The rooms are simple and this is their charm. Home cooked meal, fresh ingredients for breakfast. The campsite also neat and pleasant. A must stop for nature lovers!

We LOVED our night here at Ameib. One of the best camping experiences I’ve ever had. We saw giraffes on the way in. Each campsite was very tidy and had a grill, there was a water spout nearby our campsite and there were nice and clean bathrooms. In the morning we went on a couple of beautiful walks/hikes and saw more giraffes and cave drawings. Very impressed with this campsite.

We spent a magical 3 days at Ameib in the Erongo mountains. During our time there we felt very relaxed and at home. The service and food was excellent and the scenery breathtaking! We went for early morning sunrise walks to see the famous Elephant head rocks and Bulls Party. In the afternoon we checked out the ancient bushman rock paintings. This place is very special and you leave with a sense of calm. What they are doing with the nature conservation at Ameib is really something to treasure and really worth a visit. Thank you Sigi and family, we look forward to our next visit.

Such a beautiful and very unique farm house

A little remote but that’s what you go there for. You have some activities that you can do on your own. We saw a lot of Giraffes and other animals on the huge property while driving around. Would come again.

Beautiful scenery, awesome place to go hiking on your own. We always stay in the cabins, they got all you need, including nice braai area.
