Beaches and Parks in Miami

"The gritty, industrial, Miami suburb of Hialeah gets kind of a bad rap. But one of the hidden gems of the City of Progress is Amelia Earhart Park, which boasts five lakes, bike trails, and a disc golf course. It’s also home to the Miami Watersports Complex, a water ski cable park set on a 90-acre lake that also has a Super Air Nautique G23 for guests to ski behind. For those looking to water ski or wakeboard in Miami and don’t want to rent a boat for the afternoon, this park is your ideal destination." - MATADOR_NETWORK

It was a great time, there's a nice food stand to get some snacks and drinks, there's some much space to walk around great for bike riding and you could also rent a family bike too! The barn though, the times are very unconvenient, the times are 11:00AM-3:00PM. The park great, there's a lot to do, but they remove and ban from u climbing the cave there it's a shame really. Again it's a really go place for exercise or for family, 4 stars

Google
Good park , wish the roads and trails were well defined and easy to follow but it has plenty of playground, shelters , a Small Farm close by and plenty of space for parties and fun activities . Just needs maintenance to be 5 Stars

Google
Great MTB trail with bike washing stations. Nice flow of the trails and are sectioned into Beginner, intermediate and advanced sections to fit riders of various skill levels.

Nice spot to enjoy with family and friends. It has tennis and soccer courts, so if you’re looking for a place to play and aren’t quite sure where to go, this is the perfect place🙃

Google
The best beach for a family and dog friendly. This won't be the "average review", I am a mother of 3 little girls. I also have a support animal. I fled from states away after domestic violence and used every dollar I had the first few weeks to keep my children and I afloat. We searched for a place that was dog friendly, had wifi, a playground and clean bathrooms. Throughout the day and night we had nowhere to stay and used this as a safe space to do schooling and rest during the day. We were unaware of the individuals working the park and that they were keeping an eye on us, we were more focused on just making it through the day and completing school. It was hard and exhausting but by God's grace and mercy he placed us in the right place at the right time and a man with a heart of Gold stepped up and spoke to me and told me he knew our situation and was going to help. I had called every domestic violence shelter and the hotline and didn't receive help, just more numbers to try. This man, Cesar, went above and beyond and helped my girls and I get into communication with those that would and could help. Do not expect God to send help from people you know, he will use strangers to bless you. I pray for blessings over that man, his family and children. We went from a car to a bed in a matter of a few hours after me calling and getting no help for a little over a week. God is good and when you just hang on he will place those who can and will help you in your path. GOD BLESS YOU CESAR AND MRS. MINA FOR HELPING MY GIRLS.

My family and I visited Amelia Earhart Park on Thursday, 10/3/2024, and had a wonderful experience. Although we didn’t get to explore the entire park, the parts we did see were fantastic. We spent time at a small playground, which was perfect for the kids, and then took a walk along a lovely path that features a beautiful butterfly garden and a workout area. The workout section is great because it offers machines that allow you to use your own body weight for exercise—perfect for an outdoor fitness session! We also noticed there’s a dog park, which seemed like a fun spot for pets and their owners. Parking was free, which is a great perk on weekdays, but be aware that there’s a fee for parking on weekends. While walking around, we saw lots of people working out, biking, skating, and enjoying the fresh air. There’s so much more to explore here, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit. Highly recommend this park for families and fitness enthusiasts alike!

Google
Nice park but on the shelter are is always dirty and trash overflowing for party’s and a lot of balloons on the floor not cool . Other than that the park is fairly clean on all other areas a nice area for your dogs to play in and nice area for you to do wave board also and good mtb trails that they keep the grass nice and cut for the most park but trails really do need a makeover they been destroyed over the years and I have never seen anyone rebuilding them or a number to call for volunteers to help out best days to go is Mon-Fri early sat and sun it gets really pack

Google
such a beautiful place to be at. feed the ducks, watch them live, go to the fitness center, meditate, watch the wildlife, run around, bring your kids, your kite, your bike. it has everything

Yelp
Came here for a scheduled event and the park was easy to find , and there was plenty of parking . The down side of coming here was there was soooo much traffic because of construction it was a headache to get inside . Great plank for family and to spend the day doing activities.

Yelp
We recently visited this park and although I don't normally make the drive this way, I'm glad we did because it had been many years since we went and it is definitely a nice park! Be prepared, this park is huge and you can plan a whole day here doing anything from walking around, to riding a bike (can rent one if you don't have one) and paddle boats. There's a place that offers water sports as well, great option if you like wake surfing/boarding, waterskiing or paddle boarding. We visited with 5 kids and they enjoyed the little petting zoo they had. Apparently the also offer pony rides but it was not happening the day we went. There's also a cool playground, lakes, a mini soccer area, dog park... oh, and you can also do birthday parties here! I definitely recommend checking them out :)

Yelp
This is a great local park in the area! We went for a barbecue and there's a ton of space and lots of benches and amenities for adults and kids in the area!
google avatar

Melodie M.

Yelp
This park was very interesting! It is huge with a ton of things to do. We specifically visited to go to the Tom Sawyer playground and to see the animals at the farm. The farm part had shut down so we didn't get to see what that is usually like, though the farmstead has promis! The playground was definitely different. It is located on a tiny island, and certainly the water views were nice. A small pavilion covered us when it rained. Entrance is through a man-made cave, which was slightly claustrophobic. I was personally a tad disappointed, but my kids seemed to have fun. Definitely a great place to be wild and loud in. Would have liked to explore more but the website is very uninformative, the Yelp page had hours listed wrong, and it was difficult to locate places inside the park or to know when certain areas are open/closed. Would try again!

Yelp
This was my first time in this park in Hialeah, I went for a business event. The park is very big and it has watersports, different-sized shelters to rent, and a few Food Trucks the day I went. The park is very clean and observed park personnel giving rounds and emptying garbage cans all the time as well as cleaning the restrooms. they also have playgrounds for the kids to play In different areas. In all a good park for picnics, birthdays or any party you want to host.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice park with a nice lake to wake board. We went mountain biking on the trails. Lots of trails for different skills levels! The trails are very well kept and entertaining. We went on a Saturday morning and there's was a company renting bikes!

Yelp
This is a beautiful place to have a cookout...birthday party baby shower etc and a photo shoot the background was lovely

Yelp
Amazing park in the middle of hialeah ! This park contains a MTB trail, a water sports area, a petting zoo, a paddle boat area, soccer courts, and plenty of party and picnic spots. There is something for everyone at this park. If you just want to walk ir jog around the park, there is also plenty of sidewalk and paved areas to enjoy the scenery and get your workout in! I highly recommend Amelia Earhart park especially if you are a MTB enthusiast like myself ! The MTB trail is composed of a fast flowing XC trail pattern with some good challenging advanced sections featuring rolling hills and drops. If you are starting out, there are beginner trails to get your feet wet and get started !

Yelp
I was so excited to visit Amelia Earhart Park and when I got there the first thing I noticed was how big it was! So full of wildlife and beautiful scenery. But then I started to notice just how much trash was ALL over the park.. horrible.. don't they pay someone to clean the park? Even the wildlife was swimming with it.. so sad

Yelp
We were a part of the Miami Classic Soccer Tournament this weekend and played 2 out of 3 games at Amelia Earhart Park on Saturday and Sunday. The fields were absolutely neglected; the soccer team was playing on dirt. The bathrooms were unattended and half were out of order. There wasn't toilet paper and the sinks were gross. I do not understand why the Miami Classic Soccer Tournament even considered this park based on the condition of the fields that the players had to play on. It was embarrassing that Amelia Earhart Park was even considered when there are much nicer parks in Miami Dade that are the same size if not larger. Look at the pictures...
google avatar

Yelp
Good for biking & family gatherings. Trails are okay, better in some areas. Not the best place for fishing
google avatar

Rolando G.

Yelp
Great mountain bike trails for everyone! Parking is $7 or so on weekends and holidays, but free on weekdays. Bring tons of bug spray as the trails are really woody - unlike the rest of Miami, haha. It's also very cool that there's water sports here, I'm dying to try it out!
google avatar

Ed W.

Yelp
Good park with lots of green areas and lots of parking space. The mountain biking trails are really nice and kept in good shape. Same goes for the lakes and water skiing. Soccer fields are neglected and that needs a lot of attention. I guess it is because they play lots of tournaments and league games at these fields but that should push them to be better. Definitely a great park to bring kids and actually the whole family.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
I was able to bike the whole park twice in an hour. So many great picnic areas, sports fields, lake for water skiing, mountain bike trail, paved trails, gravel trails and a great food truck with ices and pizza.

Yelp
Amelia Earhart park is named for the famous aviator whose doomed final flight took off in 1937 from the city owned Miami Municipal Airport about a mile from the park. The land the park sits on was once undeveloped land that was part of the old Naval Air Station Miami. The Navy eventually ceased operations at the air station and gave the land to Dade County. The southern portion of the land was sold off for development and half was retained as a 515 county regional park. One of the most popular parts of the park is the farm village named for Bill Graham who was the developer of Miami Lakes. He was one of the leading lobbyists who worked to secure the land for a park. The farm village is a replica of a real farm and contains horses, cows, and sheep. You can watch cow milking and sheep shearing demonstrations. There is a petting zoo, sugar cane press, country store, crop fields, and an insect museum. Tom Sawyer's Play Island is the perfect place for children to have fun. It contains a fort style tree house and play structures designed for children 2 to 12. There are swings, climbing structures, slides, and musical instruments to play with. There are 5 lakes in the park. On the 90 acre fresh water lake you can participate in water sports at the Miami Watersports Complex. They offer cable and boat wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and paddle boarding. The park also has swan and yellow duck paddle boats for rent. The park contains 8 miles of single track and fire road bike and hiking trails. If you don't have a bike you can rent one in the park from Genesis Mountain Bike Rentals. Four legged furry friends can play at the 5 acre dog park. There are separate play areas for large and small dogs along with washing and grooming stations, doggy swimming pools, and an obstacle course. There is also a soccer complex, skateboarding, fishing pier, sand volleyball court, covered picnic pavilions, and disc golf. The things to do at this park are only limited by your imagination The park is open daily from Sunrise to Sunset. The park office is open from Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 PM. Parking is free in the park on weekdays but costs $7 on weekends and holidays.

Yelp
What an amazing park! Watersports, paddleboat rentals, bike rentals, animals throughout, petting zoo, numerous paths, and two dog parks (one for small dogs, the other for large dogs). This park is open sunrise to sunset on weekdays and weekends. You pay $7 to park all day, through your phone. The place is very clean and gets really busy on weekends. But, it's so big you can walk just about anywhere to get some peace and quiet. I like how clean they keep it and have hand sanitizer throughout, along with restrooms. This is a hidden gem in Hialeah!

Yelp
We love to come here. This park is really great and big. Some dog parks are much smaller. Our dog love to have more space and not that crowded. Most dog owner are super friendly and enjoy their time.

Yelp
Great park has multiple lakes. Great for fishing. Also they have on the lake water surfing.

Yelp
This is a lovely little park if you're looking for a more fun experience than what you usually get at an outdoor landscape in Miami. Besides the common grass and flat land with some few bridges, the true excitement comes from their little farm. Last time I went to was with children and we all had a lot of fun getting to feed the goats and chickens and being so up close and personal with these four legged friends that we usually never get to see like this. The kids felt like they could truly make friends with the animals and that made me so happy to see. As well, there is a hayride around the property which is, yes, very hot if you go on a real sunny day like I did. But it is such a nice break while continuing your adventure around the park. The bathrooms can feel a bit eery with the old fixtures and poor lighting so if that's something you worry about I would try to go before coming but everything is functioning so don't worry about that :)

Yelp
So, I have been back numerous times and have to say this place gets better and better. And now it is much tidier, so it must have been due to the covid before (see my previous three star review) I have enjoyed this park, sunbathed, watched the ducks, practiced my photography, climbed to the top pf the mound. to be noted not really high up, BUT once at the top you actually can see Miami skyline - see my pictures as proof.

Yelp
I didn't even know that this park existed in Miami until I had to go pick up my number up for an obstacle course race I was participating in the next day. Plenty of parking spots available throughout this massive park. Parking is free on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, parking jumps to $7. They have Pay-by-Phone Payment. Since I had time to kill after picking up my things for my race, I decided to explore the park on an empty Friday afternoon. This park has a lot to offer for everyone! First, there is the Bill Graham Farm Village. It was created so that people can learn about the history of Miami-Dade County's agriculture. You can see the big red barn and through the barn you will see the different farm animals relaxing and chilling under the Florida sun. Next, they also offer the more active recreational activities like Wake boarding and Mountain Biking. The mountain bike trials are free from sunrise to sunset, all year round. I believe they do offer mountain bikes for renting. Boat riding is also available and may want to make reservations for that. Can't forget about Tom Sawyer's Play Island for your little ones. This playground has everything from slides, swings, a "cave" tunnel, musical instruments, monkey bars, and the list goes on! I even decided to just enjoy my Friday afternoon by going on my favorite playground item: the swings! I also saw some people fishing at the lakes. There's a soccer field too on one side of the park. And of course, this is a great place to go for a run. Overall, this was a great little gem to find in Miami. Highly recommend bringing your friends and family to escape from the busy Miami life and just come to the park to relax and be surrounded by nature.

Yelp
Brought my baby Kash here to get acquainted with other dogs to develop his temperament when going out places with others. No one was here this morning in the small dog section except us. This was our first time here and it's ok. The dog water fountain does not work

Yelp
I enjoyed Amelia Earhart Park very much. It's the perfect place for the Dysfunctional Family Picnic. The organizers of the UYE secured a great spot. It was a large, clean cabin close to the restrooms for everyone's convenience. Everyone brought either a beverage or food item. I cooked a big pot of chili to share. The hit of the event was the wonderful Chicago Beef sandwiches with hot peppers. I loved it! I particularly enjoyed talking with many of my Yelper friends and eating scrumptious food and drinking ice-cold beers!! Games were organized and played to everyone's enjoyment. Amelia Earhart Park is located in Hialeah where I was born. There are a huge number of fun activities in the park. I had a great time! It was a perfect day weather-wise although a little windy. I hope we can have the UYE at Amelia Earhart Park again next year. It was a fabulous event!!

Yelp
I have come to this park many times, enough to give it a solid 4 stars. The Dog Park is super large with several spots to sit on the shadows, the gazebos are well located for parties and not too expensive and I have seeing newer activities in one of the lakes. This short review however is to be able to post multiple photos I have for the latest Yelp DFP Event which btw was great and I can't remember how I got home.

Yelp
Super cute time at the dog park with my dog and his "cousins". Today was a busy day for the little pupper section. There is a separate section for the littles and the bigs, so that's great to keep everyone safe. There's no dog water fountain in the little dog section so you'll have to walk your baby over to the big dog section to grab a drink. If you have a nosy dog keep your eyes on him/her, patrons do leave their trash, food and my dog found a old nasty dog bone on the ground that no one threw away. There are tables to sit down on and socialize while the dogs play and plenty of shade u der the trees and if you wanna bring your own chair or sit on a blanket. We were there today for 3 hours. Lots of dogs came to visit. If your dog is well behaved or even tolerable around other dogs, this is the place for you. If he or she isn't too friendly, I recommend bringing them early when it's empty. The later it gets the more packed it gets.

Yelp
One hot summer day, I came here for their mountain biking trails with a friendly neighbor. The trails had different levels of difficulty. We chose the easy trail which ended up being hard. It was very long and with so many hills and very narrow paths with tricky turns and bumps. The trail was awesome but it def wasn't easy. The heat, on the other hand, was no joke. You see.. the trails are full of trees and plenty of leaves up above that provide shade throughout. Problem is that the heat and humidity get trapped inside so the real feel was well above 100 degrees. I was soaked in my own sweat and hoping not to get too dehydrated. Obviously I survived. Overall, I love the mountain biking trail but not the heat. I highly recommend this place NOT on a hot summer day. Come prepared.

Yelp
Came last Sunday to celebrate my friends 2 year old son birthday. The location where we were stationed was well maintained and with assistance from the park staff everything went smooth and was a success! The park also has adequate parking, restrooms nearby, a water park in the back, skating park near the back as well, a bike trail, and a farm to feed the animals. All in all, this park is ideal for kids and families.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
This is an excellent, all around fun park. We visited for the first time and were pleasantly surprised to discover it offered so many activities. There's a petting zoo, Tom Sawyer treehouse style park (suitable for toddlers and big kids), water sports, playgrounds, bark park , picnic areas, mountain bike trails and so much more. It's easily one of the best parks in Miami Dade. You can easily pass an entire day with the family here. Parking is free on weekdays by 7.27 on weekends and holidays. You can pay via Pay by Phone.

Yelp
There is so much to do in this park, I'm not even sure where to begin with this one. This park requires at least a few visits if you really want to get the whole gist of it. I mean sure, you could walk around the whole park and see all the things they have but to really experience it, it's going to take you a few tries. They have a designated area for your poocher to roam free, complete with a few fun obstacles for your furry companion to enjoy. Plenty of shelters throughout the park if you want to throw a nice little get together for whatever the occasion. Mountain bike trails for you hardcore bike riders. Didn't check them out cause I don't have a bike but I'm sure they can be challenging. You can also rent a bike, the one where mutiple people can ride it at once and go for a nice spin around the area. Don't be that friend that doesn't peddle though, I'm not carrying your dead weight! There are several lakes within this park, all of which are pretty darn big and could be a nice little picnic spot if you're looking to just enjoy a simple lunch with someone special. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with that and you might see a few ducks or iguanas during your stay. What really sold me on this place was the wakeboarding area. Oh my gosh! That is freaking amazing!!!! There are a few ramps set up out on the lake that you can show off your badass wakeboarding skills on, or face plant into the water, whichever comes first. There's this neat pulley system they have set up that pulls you around the lake and to the different ramps. That would be really cool to try with someone, anyone? Granted, I'm sure I probably wouldn't make it off of the launching area. I see a face full of water with that since my upper body strength is going to fail me. But it's worth a try and if I fail, which I'm sure I will, I can cheer my companion on graciously!!! Woooooooooo! I'm not ashamed to say I sat and watched a few people go around the lake wakeboarding and possibly snickered a bit when they wiped out. Sorry, I know, I'm horrible! But it was so funny! The only thing I didn't like about this park was the parking situation. Not that it isn't plentiful, but I do think the pay by phone parking is a bit much. Especially for those who don't have the app on their phone and would have to run back to their car to add more money. That certainly can limit your time if you're worried about getting a ticket while you're in a park.

Guillermo H.

Yelp
Good space but they need to make a spot so people can ride dirtbikes not very clean water

Yelp
The best dog park in SoFla. If you love your kids, you would take them to Disney or Jungle Island. Well, if you love your dog, this is the place you take them lock it up

Yelp
This past Saturday I went to Amelia Earhart for the Yelp DFP and what a nice and complete park this is. We were on shelter number 5 with an impressive view of the lake. The weather was delightful. Their restrooms are nearby of this shelter. This wide shelter has a BBQ grill and even electricity outlet, where we charged our phones and even listened to the amazing music of our own DJ ;-) very convenient. They have several playgrounds and fields for sports. Parking was enough for all of us but we had to pay for it and I'm not complaining it's just that I didn't know if it wasn't for my Yelp friends I could have got a ticket since I'm not used to pay parking at a public park.

Yelp
So today was family Sunday as I call it! time to hit the road and explore our beautiful city. That said, we searched at out favorite app "Yelp" for the closes park and Amelia Earhart Park came up. We got there and it was filled with families walking around enjoying the beautiful weather, my son got to pet a few animals like a cow! Nice place, however it is in need of maintenance hence the 3 stars and parking was a bit high per hour.

Yelp
I've never been to Hialeah so this was the first time for me at this park. I came for the DFP (Dysfunctional Family Picnic) that yelpers from Miami hosted but a bunch of Yelp BPB'ers attended. The neighborhood near the park seemed kind of sketch but once we got inside the park, I was pleasantly surprised. It was super clean and large. There were quite a few lakes and ponds and I noticed lots of coral rocks they put on the side of the road; that added a nice south Florida touch. Shelter 5 was where the picnic was located. There were plenty of picnic tables and a roof to cover us if it rained. What I loved about this location, there was a multi-stall bathroom right next door! After eating and drinking all day, that is GOLD! There were parking nearby you have to pay by your phone app but it was cheap. There were lots of park patrons partying nearby as well. It was a lovely day for a picnic, it was windy but still a fun time. Hope told me there was a petting zoo in the park, that sounded cool! The yelpers did a great job creating this picnic. I'm glad to be able experience a tradition amongst the yelpers! The food was great, we all brought something to the table. They played a few games such as the egg toss and balloon pop! The park was a great spot for it since it's close enough for us BPB peeps! The park closed at sunset so a park ranger kicked us out around 6 pm. Overall, I'd definitely return to this park for future events or when I'm in town and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Yelp
This is a great park. Until this past weekend I had never been nor heard of it ( I know, right?), but I'm so glad I went because I definitely want to go back. The park is huge, making it seemingly easy to get lost in if you're a newbie like myself. Not to worry, the sights are pretty so it takes away from driving in the wrong direction. Remember to bring cash with you. It'll cost you $6.00 to get in. A small price to pay in order to keep your parks beautiful. The pavilions are large and in great shape. The bathrooms are clean. Who would have ever have guessed that? They don't make you crawl out of your skin when you walk in. Did I say the park is beautiful? It could use a few more trees here and there but overall, c'mon, it's great. It's such a great place to go when you feel like getting out of Miami and experiencing something else.

Yelp
A native Hialeah girl, I've been going to this park my entire life, and even then, I don't feel I've explored all it has to offer. You see, this park is massive. Heck, its placement in Hialeah is odd given that there usually isn't anything worthwhile in this area. This park is simply an exception. Amelia Earhart Park is open every day and it used to be that on weekends they would charge you up front. Apparently they've modernized and now they use Pay by Phone. Convenient I'd say because the lines going into this park used to wrap around the streets and create chaos. That being said, this park has plenty of activities to offer. Aside from being able to host a BBQ or a party in a shelter, you can hit up the bike trail. I've never personally done it, but I've heard it's one of the best ones around. I've heard, too, you can take your dog to Bark Park inside, pet animals at a petting zoo, and play sports. I'm sure there's more to do as well, but perhaps unfortunately for me, I usually only come for parties, and well, what parties they are. Last Saturday's was quite enjoyable, mhm.

Yelp
We adore this park. We have been 2x, as it is quite the drive (about an hour for us). Beautiful scenery, great playgrounds for the kids, tons of wild animals to bump in to, great activities for the family! During the weekends, parking is about $8 per car. Weekdays it's free. Looking forward to our next visit! My ONE recommendation would be to have signage at the gates with directions to the main entrance. Because it is such a large park, we arrived at an entrance that was closed. We drive around trying to find access-- nothing. Had to exit the park and drive around to next exit. I wish there would have been an attendant or a sign... or something.

Yelp
Many things to do here. Great for families and alone time. HUGE PLACE. They even have snack spots and Yetis pizza !!

Not every park is created equal and not every event planner plans for the premier experience. It takes all of both to have a great time which is what Amelia Earhart Park was. All of the right element came together for one of the better park picnic I have attended. The location of our pavilion appears to have been strategically selected with great parking, close proximity to restrooms... a requirement with all of the "fluids" being consumed, great view of the lake and spacious pavilion with fixed grill. To top it off, there were plenty of electrical outlets for our tech addicted attendees and our need for sound. The grounds appeared to be well maintained and we even saw the restrooms serviced and garbage collected on a busy Saturday afternoon. The weather cooperated with sunny, mild temps... after the ridiculously hot winter we've had but it did come with high winds. This of course is beyond the control of the Dade County Parks and Recs Dept and our organizer. All in all, this was the perfect pavilion on a perfect afternoon in March.

Yelp
Nice park. Free parking on weekdays which is great. There's a lot of things for kids to do.

Yelp
I grew up frequently visiting this park and I'm glad to say it's one of Hialeah's best traits to date. I've taught friends how to drive manual, been to numerous birthday parties, walked the trails, and even rolled down the hills in man-made cardboard boxes for fun. Directly on the cusp separating Hialeah from Opa-Locka is this vast open park which serves the local community in many ways. Hialeah can be weird but this park is the exception to the rules. There's BBQ grills at each station and even electric outlets exactly where you need them. It's great for family gatherings due to the ample space and convenient location. There's plenty to do at this huge open park so bring your bike to explore. Plenty of groups will rent a shelter which is the total package to get your party started.

Yelp
This is an amazing, huge, outdoor park to go to on any day off or a holiday! Especially with all that Covid- social distances phenomenon happening right now! Go there with your family, your kids, your friends, colleagues! Check the weather, load up your car with ppl you want to spend time with, take food, a lot of water, balls, scooters, bicycles etc. Believe me ..you will LOVE it! Humongous territory, a lot of green trees, grass, open space to do any activity or sport..run around or just simply sit and relax. They have several tiny parking spots (free). Places for picnic (wooden tables/benches if you want) or you can just sit on the grass. You will have to wear your mask (it's required) but mostly you don't because that Park is gigantic and you will find your spot mikes away from others to enjoy fresh air! Don't forget your cameras. It's beautiful out there. They have animal for kids to see and feed (goats, chickens, ducks, pony etc). Very friendly! My kid was in love with animals. Especially when it's your first time ever to see any animal in real life !! There is a lake for water sports (not sure how it is and what exactly however I saw ppl training on water scooters). I was told they have a special gear for those who would like to. Bicycle lanes all over the place to ride for hrs. A lot of professional looking ppl come here with their bicycles. Looks like this their spot to train. They also have several playgrounds for kids (what a great plus!) swing, slides, etc. They sell water and you can rent one of those family bicycle sets. Looks very cool. They also have a train kinda thing for kids. Don't forget cash because there is no ATM around there and they don't take card. We really enjoyed our day at Amelia Park. Have tons of pic and videos and the most important thing we had a quality family time outside! Stay safe and healthy!

Yelp
Awesome park for outdoor activities, I came here on a weekend to take my moms dogs out to the park to play fetch, run around and play with the dogs for a little bit, and check out the park. I saw people throwing parties in the big inflatable bouncy kids party house, people barbecuing, people sitting out by the lake, people on the swan boat that you can rent out, people playing sports, and people exercising. The entrance seems to be free on the weekends because it was just open and nobody was collecting any entrance fee when I came on the weekend.

Yelp
They have a great enclosed "bark park" area. Great walking path and much bigger than usual dog parks.

Yelp
This is such a nice park and that's why I gave it 5 stars.. It's just such a shame people leave their garbage around...it everywhere. There are TRASH CANS, people!

Yelp
What a fun park! I definitely recommend to venture in here. I recently started biking and was itching to find a trail... I was a bit timid since I was picking up an old activity and I'm known to be clumsy. Luckily I didn't get into any unfortunate accidents and I was able to breeze past the trails. I luckily came on a day that had a fitness event so there were large tired lying around so I had a nice lower body work out (with the bike) and upper body workout (with the equipment lying around). This is a great park to go if you want to have a family get together, need to work out, want to enjoy some water activities or like to relax in the outdoors!

Yelp
I love taking the my dynamic duel of Beagles to Bark Park at Amelia Earhart. Amelia did a great job in dividing the dog park in two sections. They have a smaller section for dogs about 30lbs or less and a larger section for bigger dogs with much more space. The park has several water stations and baggy stations for your pup's needs in case they get thirsty or need to poop. The green area is massive, if you have a sniffer like my hounds they will go crazy chasing smells and running around in the grass and playing with other dogs. The park has several benches in several areas, mainly in the shade, for you to sit and enjoy a snack and interact with other patrons while you watch your dogs play and interact with several other pets and people. The park has several obstacles for your dogs. They have huge cylinders for your pups to go over and under, they also have hurdles and ramps for your dogs to jump and climb and my favorite are the ladders and balance beams that are great for balance and stability. Mostly I've seen the dogs just like to run around and play in the huge amount of green area in the park. If you live in the Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens or Miami Lakes area, Bark Park is great for your pup.

Yelp
This park is absolutely awesome!!!!! We went out for a short bike ride and fell in love with all this park has to offer!!! From the long biking paths to the mountain bike course to the wake board lake, this park really does have everything! We ended up spending quite of bit of time in there by the lake in the Bill Graham Farm Village and riding in that area. We saw 2 lakes but there are 5. I cant wait to go back and ride the mountain bike course and check out the other 3 lakes!!!!! The surrounding neighborhood is sketchy but the park is safe and well worth the trip!
